You could almost ask any farmer, and you’d get a very strong reaction. The beaver is Canada’s official national animal, and throughout our history it has been adored in general and often hated by farmers, but early on the beaver was a key foundation of our economy, what with the fur trade and all. I think now it is generally seen as being beneficial to the environment. Sorry, I just nerded out on beavers! What can I say, I’m a proud Canadian.
