- NOT FOR SALE!!! I've done a few upgrades and maintenance things to it already and have plans to do more custom work to it. I'd appreciate any feedback on how to or questions I will be more then happy to give some advice on things that I have done already
I looked online at this exact car in PA. I’m glad you purchased this.
Saw this car online. Noticed the name plate and recognized it. Good to see it go to someone.
I jumped on it as soon as I saw it. I hada 77 Givenchy 20 years ago and was sad when I got rid of it
Looks gorgeous I always wanted one of those cars when I was a kid and it drove by they looks BOSS and mysterious. Nice job!

Cloth interior, looks great.
I had one of these exactly like this one. It had 7600 miles on it when I bought it. It perished in a fire that started in the passenger door. Check your seat and window controls for bad connections.
I have owned 3 Mark's V's ...save uself a ton of money ...install gas K.Y.B. shocks all around ...firms up the ride ...no more swaying on turns while still maintaining THE LINCOLN RIDE ...without the eventually LEAKS in an AIR RIDE SYSTEM
It has gas shocks in it. Eventually I am doing airbags
If it already has has gas shocks ....as U know ...they r not original @@MrGixxer100069
Nice looking Mark sounds really good I can’t hear a miss
Might have a hole in the muffler
There is definitely a fuel issue or something. During idol it stumbles a bit and during acceleration has a bit of a vibration, especially after 50mph. It's hard to tell in the vid, but it's there
@@MrGixxer100069 my 79 done that too. I checked it out, traced it down and found out it was my master brake cylinder, causing it. There’s vacuum there and it was causing it to stumble fix it. Myself with a new cylinder never happened again runs great.
@@1234567896783 Isn't the Mark V power brake system non vaccum? It uses the power steering pump.
I'll have to look at that. I don't think it's vacuum though. Thanks for the tip
@@MrGixxer100069 In 1975 Ford introduced the "hydro-boost braking system" in the Mark IV and it continued through the Mark V. The power steering pump provides the hydraulic boost for the braking system, not vacuum.
Beautiful!
I would love to own your car
I seen this on Facebook market it was in upper Darby I was actually thinking on buying it!! Glad its in good hands I plan on getting one soon
Cool man. Definitely have some plans for it.I just picked up another one for a doror
@@MrGixxer100069 thats awesome !! Well now I followed you look forward to seeing your future plans with it. By chance if you don't mind me asking what is the name of that steering wheel and where did you get it? When i get mine i would like the same one
@seanmccleary3057 that's, I appreciate it. It's made by Raptor. They have an Instagram, ebay and a website
Nice.
Possibly Drive for 2 hours down the nearest Interstate at 70 mph to get all her Juices Flowing in the same direction.
I've put on 500 miles already. Did a bottle of fuel treatment along the way
Nice Car, One Day i will begin to drive when i get to go to church
Which Car Model of the lincoln continental car do you like from the decade.
This one. That's why i bought it
@bob smith that's cool man, I like 74 Lincoln Continental Mark IV
My parents had 1 and threw it away in the junk yard because the motor blew out.
What a shame

Sickle cell steering wheel
Sickle cell comment
Chickens? Seriously? You going to let them run all over the car?
Hell no. It's under a cover and I keep them away. They poop on everything
That steering wheel ...a cut dash ...?....questionable additions ...
To each his own. I'm not restoring it, I'm making a lowrider out of it
@@MrGixxer100069 whatever works 4 u pal
Sorry, the new radio looks bad.
To be honest, I kinda don't like it. I have another 79 I can pull from. I'll get to it eventually. I'm about to pull it all apart again anyway to rewire for a sound system
This poor thing is a little rough, the steering wheel is unfortunate, I'd have kept it stock. 🙄
One thing at a time. The stock wheel is the same as a Ford van and all of the other fors of the generation. Pretty lame for a luxury car
@@MrGixxer100069 I agree that Ford could have done much better with the stock wheel but, in my opinion the one that you put on this Mark V is just tacky, sorry!!! 🙄
To each his own. That's why it's mine and not yours
@@MrGixxer100069 that's so true!!! I wouldn't bother with that piece of junk!!!! 😬
@@christopherkraft1327eat a bag of deez troll
You cut the dash to put a stupid aftermarket radio in? Seriously? You just ruined the value of that car along with the steering wheel.
I'm not worried about the value of the car. I wouldn't sell it anyway, unless I absolutely needed the money. The factory wheel is still in 1 piece. They used the same wheel for many years in many other models other then lincolns. The e250 van has the same wheel as these. I have a second mark v for anything I may need. To each there own, and this is my own
