LYRICS
Pacing aimlessly,
When my mind is at unrest
Unsure of what may come.
What have I done to bring this down on me?
Helpless to make this undone
All in due time, see the world through different eyes.
All in due time, the shadows will give way to light.
How much more can I give of myself,
as these walls close in on me?
As I slip down into this despair
(into this despair),
There is nothing to attain
What victory
(what victory)
When my soul is weak,
(is weak)
where does my help come from?
All in due time, see the world through different eyes.
I see the world through different eyes.
All in due time, shadows will give way, give way to light.
All that we suffer through leads to determination.
The trials we all go through gives us the strength to carry on.
Something within us burns, desire feeds the will to live.
A reason to believe I will see redemption.
All in due time, see the world through different eyes
I see the world through different eyes
All in due time, the shadows will give way to light.
All in due time.
This song helps me a lot since i lost both my parents
Such a good comeback for Jesse.
2022 and I still loving Killswitch engage
I like the killswitch engage group,I recently discovered them thanks to my friend Antonio. I've heard all their songs and I continue to like them more and more
Where has this song been all my life?
123cyclone789 on guitar hero live
123cyclone789 lmao
This song gives me hope with my depression.
I feel ya 100% on that man. Thing has got me through alot of dark times. Still does.
@ TwinBorn keeps me fighting the good fight as well. Never underestimate the influence you have on others and your ability to make a difference.
That was the point of this. The songwriting here is awesome. "Strength of The Mind" is phenomenal for that as well.
This is my medicine as well.
That's the way to do it man. This shit empowers you. Rap gets you down more...
The best part about DtD is that Jesse was brought back without compromising Killswitch's sound
Howard came on board keeping Jesse's sound and Jesse did the same filling Howard's shoes.
Both singers have shared the stage with each other. They respect each other and know exactly what they're shooting for.
Keeps me going through the down times.
STILL HERE IN 2024... ANYONE ELSE?
right here with you brother
🤘
Of course, dude!
Always man, Always
Big time bud
This is the first song I heard from Killswitch Engage . I am happy I found them. This song gives me incredible amount of energy to live , thank you so much for your great work !!!!!!
First time I heard this, I was coming to the end of a difficult transition and upheaval in my life. This song gave form the feelings I had and helped me through.
they look so happy playing and that makes the song even better
Listening in 2019 with my granddaughter!!
I love these kinds of videos where you can see how much fun they’re having being a band
I started listening to Killswitch in 2000 when I was 13 and Jesse's lyrics and performance on Alive or Just Breathing blew my little mind. Was kind of sad when he left a couple years later...and when I saw this pop up years ago I couldn't believe my eyes...Jesse was back. Howard's talented but just too gospel-like. This song still gives me a little chill.
Auntie casually knitting is the most metal shit ever I love it.
Killswitch Engage to był aHoward. Bez niego nie ma juz nic Jessie
Damn, Disarm The Descent was one of their best albums, and this was one their top 5 song for sure
Damn right,my dude
"WHAT VICTORY!...MY SOUL IS WEAK! WHERE DOES MY HELP COME FROM!?"
I know they are not a Christian band but alot of their music is based in scripture
Mythology is a common subject in metal.
Such an amazing guitar work
I'm actually saddened that i can't convince my friends to even listen to KSE! I played this song, they just instantly reject it.
Just keep sharing your love and passion for them and how much positivity they bring to your life. Eventually they’ll come around ;)
Are they really friends? HAHAHA
Such an awesome tune. One of their best!
That drum roll at 1:33 is one of the most awesome things I've ever heard or seen!! Love it! Amazing song :)
Howard and Jesse are killswitch
When I hear this song i think of 1 Peter 5:6-11- "Humble yourselves, therefore under Gods mighty hand that He may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you. And the God of all grace who called you to His eternal glory in Christ after you have suffered a little while will Himself restore you and make you strong firm and steadfast."
One of the best motivation songs in my playlist
Can't stop playing this song
7 years already??? Holy...time catches up to you huh, all in due time. 🙃
Can this be true?
A metalcore band with a lead singer that actually looks like a man and not a transgenic emo?
And the lyrics are not about hating someone for breaking up with you ir killing yourself?
Is this real life?
What metalcore do you listen to if you've never seen a band who's lead singer doesn't look emo
Anal Vacuum I think hes referring to the new age hipster bullshit metalcore like bmth etc.
Javale fralop God i miss their old singer though
Shay George This is their old singer.. Lol
Jhoan Montiel I think he means Howard, although the fact that you know that this is their *"OLD"* singer then you probably already knew that 😂
Ugh. That into. The pace. Superb.
Still sounding good in 2020. Can’t wait to see you guys again!
Legendary
Just freaking amazing....just love this song....
From Black Sabbath to Judas Priest to Slayer to Obituary to KSE, Metal will live forever!
crazy as helllll !!!!!!!!!!!!
This is song make everyone headbang.. Such a great song .. I listen this song twice daily.. And its happy to know that they are going to release new album next year..\m/
"All in due time, see the world through different eyes. All in due time, the shadows will give way to light."
it came true :D
Congrats. Keep fighting & keep positive.
Imagine an album with Howard and Jesse singing together and trading off vocals. I love both eras, but a record like that would be absolute gold.
This is the 1st time hearing this song though I've been a fan of yours in the past couple of years. Thanks.
Why is jesse leach looking like metal joe rogan
Holy crap I've been trying to figure out why he looks so familiar!!! Hahaha I will never unsee that now
All in due time!!! ❤️
Awesome
ok I made fun of Adam D's death metal growls a while back saying they don't fit but damn was I wrong they fit perfectly here. love this song and KSE is amazing with either Howard or Jesse...
NEED SOMETHING IN 2021
baldcore
or not this team locus is on the road where personal faith requires them
Anyone else think this song has a very 80's-esque feel to the chorus
That opening riff is just punishing it's great
So good!!!!!!!!!!!!!
KSE la rompe 👊👊👊🇪🇨🇪🇨🇪🇨
Totally love this track ❤
Lets go
I'll always love Howard singing with them, but this is fucking amazing!!! Also, Providence born, love Jesse!! \m/
GG bon son🤘
Awesome song 🤘
devil you know will be way better.
haha good joke man
thumbs up...
dude this guy sucks at singing, Howard is leaps and bounds better.
Armoured Rat I know dumbass whats your point he sucks
Green Knight Opinion doesn't equal to fact.
That's a masterpiece!!! Every part of this song is fucking awesome!!!
So incredible! \m/
Either way they both rock!!!
Holy shit Adam D is a BEAST 🔥
And Jessie sounds incredible
Bloody badass riffs \m/
this song is fucking perfect
nice
How much more can I give up myself?
🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
I fucking love Killswitch Engage.
Giant Squid me too
Drake Metzler and Trivium!
Me to 🙌
+Giant Squid FUCK Asking Alexandria.
+Giant Squid So do I, my friend!!! They are one of the few metal bands today that continue to deliver amazing music!! Would you be interested in reviewing my solo EP "Memoirs?" If so, I'll send you the link. Any and all thoughts/opinions would be greatly appreciated!!
Awesome
Adam Dutkiewicz's backing vocals/harmonies/growls are massively underrated in my opinion.
Yeah dude is a legend
Producer
Adam its Hearts Killswitch !
Los grupos que pongo yo son buenos. Gracias a los grupos. Este estilo me gusta
he's fucking perfect XD
AC/DC is universally regarded as great with Bon Scott and Brian Johnson. Why can't Killswitch be viewed as the same with Jesse Leach and Howard Jones???
Because Scott and Brian have absolutely nothing in common (style, voice etc.) and ACDC didn't force the same singing style after Scott's death, while Jesse and Howard share a very similar singing style, and then its only natural to compare them :)
I view both Jesse and Howard as equals! The have both contributed equally to KSE in different ways! KsE is considered great in my book, now to just have them considered universally great!
AC/DC is universally overrated ;)
KSE is perfection with both of them.
Honestly, and I'll just say it right here, I think there were a lot of KSE fans that had a problem with Howard Jones being a Black man.
Exactly!
Ten years later and that chorus still hits so hard!!! I love this band! They have so much hope and positivity in their lyrics!
The Jesse vs Howard debate is almost as annoying as Metallica vs Megadeth. Both are good, just enjoy the music.
Agreed
+Jason X But Metallica is still better than Megadeth ;)
+Gabriel Monnin maybe the first four Metallica albums
maybe (just trolling m8)
+Jason X The only part of the Jesse vs Howard issue that I want to see happen is to hear Howard do vocals for some of the songs Jesse did (this one included) and vice versa.
this song is a fucking master piece
I couldn't agree more. This can be replayed indefinitely.
+VirtualCoder Uh, yeah it can! On repeat over & over again!
yes it is
Right? I listen to it at least 3 times in a row every time of I come back to it... amazing song.
check out the whole album
I love how the music sounds super angry and aggresive but the artists are the complete opposite! It's very unfair that people who listen to this style of music get prejudged as angry and/or depressed.
This is one of those bands that just can't make a bad song.
Agreed, they were such a important part of my teenage years and to this day.
This band and parkway drive for me
3 teeth
I feel this wth trivium, parkway drive and ghost too
KSE and Slipknot for me
2021. This song has meant so much to me. I had been going through so much shit before 2013. Homelessness, addiction, becoming a father, going back to college to get my degree. Now I'm in graduate school. I cannot tell you how healing this song has been for me. It uplifted me, it made me feel empowered, understood. What the words mean to me. Jesse's voice, a man I've never met, his voice stretched out across the miles to land in my ears and in one of the loneliest times in my life, someone spoke to me and I knew I wasn't a freak, I wasn't the only one.
I see the world through different eyes.
Let's fucking go, brother. Glad to hear you are on the upswing. Eyes to the sky, my friend, keep that energy and keep moving forward
Killswitch Engage has always helped me in my darkest times. I swear we need more bands like them 🙏🤘
Congrats brotha 🙏🏼
The song may have helped but all the sacrifice and hard work is all you my friend. Congratulations and keep pushing forward to inspire people.
@@jcap8391 this is such an important take on this. Much love my friend
I worked for this band in 2006 for a few weeks in Europe. Loved seeing Josh their guitar tech in this video, he was with them then and I’m sure he’s still with them now. These guys are excellent human beings, super kind and when I turned up at a show years later, Joel made it a point to come and find me to catch up. They deserve every success 🙏
Glad to read that dude. I saw some interviews with them on Jasta show and they do look really cool guys indeed. Looking forward to see them live again
Awesome
Dude that's badass! What a cool opportunity to work for such awesome musicians and human beings
You officially have my jealousy laced respect
😎🤙
@@EWTB Ha! Thanks dude! I worked mostly with Pop/Punk bands but working for Killswitch was really great. Just really good people.
that opening riff is badass
I know
Boi the whole song is badass... IT'S KILLSWITCH.
Yup
I totally agree, bro!
ya went from good to po0p
Should have won the fucking Grammy.
absofuckinglutely
I say this everyday. Jesse deserves a grammy far more than Howard did. Disarm the descent is the most underrated album of all time.
Fuck yeah it should have
I can loop that chorus for 10 straight hours
fucking same bro
chorus is the best part of the song no doubt.
I think I might actually have done that once.
@@MrMaximumgamer Agree, it's awesome. I love the middle eight as well. Great vocal and lyrics.

"Harmonic, melodic, aggressive" METAL!! #Metalcore
love them
Howard def. had an awesome voice and I imagine the band's journey /w him to have been a constructive and good time, but it's good to see Jesse back here. He brought back the edge & imho their greater underlying asset from the olden days -a message of hope and redemption.
!!! perfectly said
You said it \m/
They are still in contact they are good friends Jesse and Howard and the entire band consider it a Family and that’s something beautiful 😊
Listened to this album my entire pregnancy. Every time I play this video my daughter rocks out 😂😂😂 so proud!
Love this haha
Got great tast in music
Cheers😂🍻
You’re raising her right 😍
6 years old and she's still my little Metal Head!! 😍
I can't believe this is a decade old. I remember waking up on the morning it came out and thinking "bloody hell when did they get the old guy back"
Yeah sometimes I forget Jesse was there before Howard
and the whole album was perfect too
ya know, like the rest of their albums 😂🔥
I spent the worst year of my life fighting colon cancer. No song has ever filled me with so much emotion as this. I break down crying every single listen, yet it invigorates me like nothing else because I fucking beat cancer 👊 shadows will give way to light!
Happiest-looking Metalcore band
Bad Wolves? (:
Fun fact: Adam D once was a contestant on The Price Is Right.
@@Jakob_W3Ch4rg3_ Yeah I saw that clip. And he was still just the happy go lucky guy. Didn't even mention his band or anything. Although he did shout out to his dog.
And parkway drive, try vice grip
They just look normal, not stupid and pretentious like most bands 😎
KSE with Howard - more melodic KSE
KSE with Jesse - more fucking hardcore KSE
agree
Stop both are melodoic and heavy as fuck..Some of Js music is very soft to the ear visa versa
@@troyschmitt5244 ear of the beholder
@@deliriousmysterium8137 no doubt
I agree with chomik. I dont have issues with one or the other. Still loved the music. Just can feel the difference. Its not a bad thing though. At least IMO
If I ever make it to the UFC, this is my intro song
You won't do it...
Now I'm rooting for you to make it there!
Dude this is my theme song on the independent pro wrestling scene!🤘🤘
Right on
It's too happy. This is one of my feel good songs. You need something darker
I can't express in words how much I love this song! I'm 47 years old in a couple of days, and this song makes me want to reach out and pimp slap my Momma! Haha
Seriously though, I'm sad that I didn't pick up on KSE earlier, but they freak'n ROCK! God Bless and Godspeed! Don't be surprised to see this old fart in the pit at a KSE show in Tampa Bay someday! ;)
Ive been with them since i was 12 now im 29 its been a great journey!
this album got me through a very dark time in my life. i owe my existance to killswitch. fucking legends.
"Where does my help come from?" - a question worth exploring.
Killswitch Engage still sounds good. Howard and Jesse are both incredible vocalists. I'm just glad KSE is still around making music and not fading out.
Still making music.
Jesse and Howard should sing together.
AlphaLeader772 They can't do that because then the world would explode.
sciphan
Actually the world would be better.
+AlphaLeader772 I don't know if the world is ready for that level of epic.
They have performed my last serenade together live before.....
joe cormier
For a song, it would be different.I want to have the song in my playlist.
My favorite band to see live. These guys always destroy it live, shit is too much fun.
+DraculaXHunter101 I saw them live with Howard back in 2004, awesome. Then my band at the time got to play a show with Seemless, Jesse's band after he left KE, I think around 2006. He watched our whole set, and stuck around to hang out after. Great guy, and one of my all time favorite metal vocalists.
+Nothing Wow... What was your bands name i want to see if i like the music.
+DraculaXHunter101 My body is ready for tomorrow.
+DraculaXHunter101 I have shirt of your picture
Howard chose to step down. Thank fuck Jesse came back. Imagine someone else taking their mantle
Man, I remember when this came out. Still makes me feel amazing all these years later. Arguably one of the best choruses in Metalcore in my humble opinion. Long live KSE
Yeah huh, same here. It was so inspiring that i put the chorus as my ringtone on my tiny pocket phone way back in 2013. Long live the K I N G S ov metalcore!
Yeah I fucking love the chorus.
Well said man! KSE never disappoints ✊🏼
what the fuck??? its only showing my views, where is everyone elses?
This song is legendary, at least in my book.
+Nihlus x my book is "how to get away with Necrophilia volume 2"
+ross mcfadyen They can keep a secret.
+ross mcfadyen callate la boca idiota
In mine too, broda!
+KenjiKussano You're white af you can't say broda.
Some people will state how this music will make angry and fill you with hate, but the smiles on the bands faces, show something completly different!!
The band is important. Some do communicate anger in an infectious and harmful way. The lyrics of KSE for example make that judgement unsustainable.
@@andrewhinson4323
The biggest difference between heavy metal and metalcore for me (except for aild) is that heavy metal is too depressing and negative and yes, it does fill me with hate and anger.
Metal in general I just think is a very masculine genre and a great motivation for sport.
Its just heavy, its not evil.
It's a release to be raw. It's not so much "bad" or "dark" as it is primal in that way. It's simply raw expression.
@@wilhelmscream6834 one word sums it all up: visceral!
