My favorite Adam D story...somewhere around 2006 or so, some musician friends and I decided to go Christmas caroling on Xmas eve at like 11:00pm. Walked all around town with candles and lyrics and such. At about midnight or so we see a tall figure walking in the distance toward us walking a Chihuahua. As we approach, we see its Adam. We stop and proceed to sing "Silent Night" and Adam is critiquing our harmonies and whatnot. Funny and memorable. Bebe Perez howard has had a rough couple years with some personal issues and type 2 diabetes, and he then decided to leave as his heart wasnt in writing music, but he is doing well for himself now
I love how the music sounds super angry and aggresive but the artists are the complete opposite! It's very unfair that people who listen to this style of music get prejudged as angry and/or depressed.
I consider the Killswitch Engage concert I saw as one of the best evenings in my life. They really helped me a lot with their music on a personal level. Thank you. Greetings from Germany :)
one of my favorite things about this band is their ability to just be themselves and not compromise shit. I'm a fan from the original KsE days man, and I'm still sad to have seen Howard go, just like I was sad to see Jesse go. But fuck I'm glad to see Jesse back man!
With every vocalist a new chapter is revealed with a fresh new voice... no matter who the vocalist is this band still manages to pump out magical material
In my Opinion, this is the best metal song of 2013. Many new albums were released, many good, many bad, but Disarm to Descent is the ultimate album of the year. It showed the society, what massive potential Killswitch Engage has. Before that album, I've heard of them, I've seen them live, but after hearing "In Due Time", they got me totally and utterly sold. I will defend these guys because they truly deserve it. Not Avenged sevenfold, not sevendust, not dream theater, Not even Trivium ( which is my favourite band) managed to outshine this beautiful diamond. All hail KSE, they may not win in a mainstream competition, but unofficially, they hold the best album/single of 2013.
Amen, it really bugs me that of mice and men won that song of year shit. Avenged sevenfold's hail to the king is good but the only song that really strikes me as amazing is coming home
Andrés Dávila I was really surprised with this record, I put it in blind except for This song and Always and it is much heavier than As Daylight Dies or End of Hearteache
I've been playing music my whole life and absolutely hate when people down bands. None of you know the trials these guys have been through and for them to be playing an awesome song and making a video showing high spirits is amazing! Many props to Killswitch for sticking it out no matter what and portraying a positive attitude! \m/
I agree. Believe me, I'm a huge fan of Jesse Leach. He may be my favorite singer ever. I still don't ever put down howard other than saying I just don't like his style nearly as much but I always see other fans saying "jesse sucks", or "howard sucks" which is not only incorrect but just retarded. The problem is, the difference between people who play music and the people who just listen to music is massive. I'm sure you know that if you ever listened to music before you learned to play. I didn't learn to play til I was 14 and I remember my comprehension of music before i learned pretty clearly. I honestly feel like people who don't play music shouldn't even really be able to comment on it. A TV network isn't gonna hire some football fan with no credentials to be a commentator right? Almost the same situation in my opinion
***** You can have an opinion without being a disrespectful piece of shit though. Anyone saying Jesse or Howard suck are not only factually wrong but they're being douchebags as well.
One of they best songs..IM not a great fan of this band but some tracks I like a lot how they mix the clean voices with the heavy sound..Th End of Hearteache, The Curse and Rose of Sharyn are my favorites too!greeds from Argentina!
This is the first song I heard from Killswitch Engage . I am happy I found them. This song gives me incredible amount of energy to live , thank you so much for your great work !!!!!!
I feel like I relate to this song because of my anxiety disorder and how It’s affected for as long as I can remember. Helps me through when it’s at its worst
I'm a huge Howard Jones fan, I think his singing and KSE went together very well, but Jesse really grabbed my respect when in an interview he talked about how fans will come up to him and say, " Dude, Howard sucked, I'm glad you're back in the band." And he replies to them, " Dude, Howard does not suck! Howard is awesome!" He went on to say Howard helped bring the band up to where they are now. That really gave me a lot of respect for him. At the same time he's got a good voice too, so I enjoy him in KSE. I'm just glad that Howard is able to be in a band that I also enjoy, Devil You Know. It's different from KSE, more straight forward metal instead of Metal core, but I think it rocks. I don't know if they have already, but it would be cool for both bands to rock together on tour.
I remember an interview with Adam D a few years back saying rejoining the band was super intimidating for Jesse because, despite being the original vocalist, Howard was the vocalist during the bands more mainstream success, and he initially felt like he had to live upto this huge expectations. Apart from being a super nice dude, that's probably a lot of why he gives Howard so much respect.
@@ohalistair Howards cleans are very unique to him and Jesse had spoken of working extra hard to find a place where he was hitting it right while also putting his own twist on it. I made this comment 4 years ago. Since then Devil You Know(which had become one of my favorite bands) has changed to Light the Torch(fuck John Sankey), which I still enjoy very much. Howard and the guys have reconciled and done a few shows live and of course Signal Fire by KSE featuring Howard released last year(2019) and was amazing. This year(hopefully) they are touring together. Last four years have been good to KSE and Howard. Hopefully we see them collaborate more and Light the Torch continues to grow.
+Rikual Rose: LOL Nope, if you think that, its probably because u think all Metalcore bands sound the same, even worst, maybe u think that about all heavy music
i cannot believe this was after the 10 years tour of AOJB and now here we are with Disarm the Descent at 10 years old. Time is so damn quick. Jesse, you truly are underrated and you coming back and it lighting a new fire in KSE has helped me so much in the past 10 years with motivation and the words yall preach! I'm so thankful for you and Adam and the whole band for what messages and beautiful creations you put into the world.
The best part about DtD is that Jesse was brought back without compromising Killswitch's sound Howard came on board keeping Jesse's sound and Jesse did the same filling Howard's shoes. Both singers have shared the stage with each other. They respect each other and know exactly what they're shooting for.
I used to scream the lyrics to this song while in the throes of depression. Little did I know, the one who would give me different eyes through which to see the world and make darkness give way to light was waiting on me all along. Thank you, Lord Jesus. All glory, honor and power be unto you.
Now I'm 36. I've been a fan since a was 20 and always will be. Today I faced the changes i did when I had of my adhd diagnosis last october, so many steps... this song came to my mind this morning thinking of my journey through the trauma of my past. Recently I started to see this world crearly different because I am. the phrase "only in due time" never had so much meaning as it has now cause it is so true. Never hoped my life to change, never had a view of thrive but it all has changed that october. Now I put in the work all I learn from my past but with different eyes and it happened cause I said to myself this phrase ONLY IN DUE TIME. Thank you Jesse. THANK YOU KILLSWITCH ENGAGE. LOVE FROM ITALY 💚
First time I heard this, I was coming to the end of a difficult transition and upheaval in my life. This song gave form the feelings I had and helped me through.
I come to this video 11 years later, as I think of it often. The comeback, the turnaround of Jesse is an ongoing inspiration to bring hope back into my life. It's my time now.
As men, we are always suppressing our feelings in one way or another. It's difficult, but we understand in order to have order in a society we must keep the peace. Music like this allows us to express those suppressed emotions like a volcano eruption! GG
I was put in an ensemble group at a music academy I was learning guitar at. We did this song. Immediately as the vocals came in, a good deal of the crowd got up and left. The rest of the crowd that stayed thoroughly enjoyed the nice break from the various renditions of such classics as "I Love Rock n' Roll" and "Iron Man" that had dominated the last 2 hours. For four minutes, the crowd got to experience what they previously (and probably still) would incorrectly categorize as "Screamo". They would experience what the world of metal music had to offer beyond what they were familiar with from ye olde days. "Why, what is this? Is this... what metal has become?!" I thought for them. "I am proud. With this newfound fondness of metal music, I shall (maybe) explore this realm I thought had died when Metallica became mainstream." Some of the best 4 minutes of my life lol.

8 years later, STILL a banger
I consider the Killswitch Engage concert I saw as one of the best evenings in my life. They really helped me a lot with their music on a personal level. Thank you. Greetings from Germany :)
There Music Will Always Help People See The Passion Thats Inside Us All
one of my favorite things about this band is their ability to just be themselves and not compromise shit. I'm a fan from the original KsE days man, and I'm still sad to have seen Howard go, just like I was sad to see Jesse go. But fuck I'm glad to see Jesse back man!
check out howies new band... DEVIL YOU KNOw, single is on youtube :) enjoy
It would be amazing if Howard featured on a KSE song. Just imagine Howard's clean vocals and Jesse's "scream" vocals; would be epic!
they did last serenade together, live once..
Pure and utter brilliance. This song and production is art in it's purist form. The message KSE and hope they bring to the world is 2nd to none.
they look so happy playing and that makes the song even better
This song helped me get out of the hole of being a big time dope dealer...when I lost my daughter...thank you...this song and you guys ARE AMAZING.
The Signal Fire is alight! 🔥😍
Awesome tune🤘
Completely unrelated to this video. I can't believe your pointless comment has any likes at all.
@@Celestial_Being666 dude, I love potato salad too! So weird we both brought it up?!
wrong song bruh 😂😂😂
Yeah, wish Howard would come back again like in the 'Signal Fire'.
Music that makes your soul sing, a melody thats sets your heart aflutter with flames of hope in a hopeless romanticed world
Love ur words 😘
With every vocalist a new chapter is revealed with a fresh new voice... no matter who the vocalist is this band still manages to pump out magical material
THIS IS the real Metalcore.
+Adam Day Day What do you consider to be "Real Metalcore" then?
+Caleb Willis My guess is that he will say some hipster shit like "Fugazi" or something
umm yes it is
@I'm actually the Stig yes it is
*Converge laughs silently*
Awesome song.
Also Grammy nominated song.
This song is genuinely getting me through lockdown.
the real virus is the news. unplug and do some solo research fren. we are being lied to.
@@danl455 I meant it’s helping with my depression. But yeah thanks

This is masterpiece 👏 🤘🤘
Where has this song been all my life?
123cyclone789 on guitar hero live
123cyclone789 lmao
In my Opinion, this is the best metal song of 2013. Many new albums were released, many good, many bad, but Disarm to Descent is the ultimate album of the year. It showed the society, what massive potential Killswitch Engage has. Before that album, I've heard of them, I've seen them live, but after hearing "In Due Time", they got me totally and utterly sold. I will defend these guys because they truly deserve it. Not Avenged sevenfold, not sevendust, not dream theater, Not even Trivium ( which is my favourite band) managed to outshine this beautiful diamond. All hail KSE, they may not win in a mainstream competition, but unofficially, they hold the best album/single of 2013.
with Jesse Leach back in vocals, the band recovered their old beautiful shine.
lol you talking about avenged sevenfold as a possible best song of 2013 made me laugh. This is a great song but best of 2013? cmon.
Amen, it really bugs me that of mice and men won that song of year shit.
Avenged sevenfold's hail to the king is good but the only song that really strikes me as amazing is coming home
GetScaredGaming Holy balls, Coming Home was so driven, instrumentally and vocally. Definitely the best on the album. But KSE is pounding HARD here.
Andrés Dávila
I was really surprised with this record, I put it in blind except for This song and Always and it is much heavier than As Daylight Dies or End of Hearteache
Hugo Stiglitz great point
take my like
Robert Reed I've been playing music my whole life and absolutely love when people down bands. It's called social filtering!
This is probably one of my favorite songs with Jesse as lead singer really shows his vocal ability
This is a musical masterpiece
Greatest song of all time
I feel like I relate to this song because of my anxiety disorder and how It’s affected for as long as I can remember. Helps me through when it’s at its worst
0:37 "I SHOULD HAVE WORN MAKE UP!"

Hahahaha
LOL that's awesome
Katie B I HATE THESE KIND OF PEOPLE YOU RUINED THE SONG XDD
One of my favorite songs. Love kill switch.
Dudez this song has helped me through a tuff time being homeless with my husband, but good things happen In Due Time... Thx KillSwitch
Still listening!! one of the best KSE music! 💯
This song helps me a lot since i lost both my parents
This and "always" are my two favourites on this album
But this song is something special ❤️
It's good to know that kids still listen to metal these days. Gives me hope that we all won't be meth eating zombies in the future.
Nny Sang Things have changed in 2 years. The meth is upon us.
gucci gang

Declan Walmsley Get that shit out of here!
Nitroxium GET OUT OF HERE!
I think KSE is stronger than ever with their reprised front-man. I love em both, don't get me wrong. But I like their sound.
You can find that sound anywhere....
Rikual Rose LOL Nope.
Rikual Rose No no you cant. These guys were some of the first.
+Rikual Rose: LOL Nope, if you think that, its probably because u think all Metalcore bands sound the same, even worst, maybe u think that about all heavy music
This song is my battle anthem of strength and determination for my present struggle and sinking life ship.
i cannot believe this was after the 10 years tour of AOJB and now here we are with Disarm the Descent at 10 years old. Time is so damn quick. Jesse, you truly are underrated and you coming back and it lighting a new fire in KSE has helped me so much in the past 10 years with motivation and the words yall preach! I'm so thankful for you and Adam and the whole band for what messages and beautiful creations you put into the world.
The best part about DtD is that Jesse was brought back without compromising Killswitch's sound
Howard came on board keeping Jesse's sound and Jesse did the same filling Howard's shoes.
Both singers have shared the stage with each other. They respect each other and know exactly what they're shooting for.
Honestly, I get tears in my eyes 90% of the time I listen to this song, just because I focus so much on creating a better future for myself it hurts
It's a battle we all go through. Keep moving, brotha!
I used to scream the lyrics to this song while in the throes of depression. Little did I know, the one who would give me different eyes through which to see the world and make darkness give way to light was waiting on me all along. Thank you, Lord Jesus. All glory, honor and power be unto you.
Amen 🙏🏽
Killswitch engage FOREVER IN MY HEART!! Awesome fricken MUSIC!!
1:48 Can we just take a second to appreciate Adam D's EPIC roar?
I come to this video 11 years later, as I think of it often. The comeback, the turnaround of Jesse is an ongoing inspiration to bring hope back into my life. It's my time now.
As men, we are always suppressing our feelings in one way or another. It's difficult, but we understand in order to have order in a society we must keep the peace. Music like this allows us to express those suppressed emotions like a volcano eruption! GG
Oh 100% sir
Nothing but love for this song❤
With this newfound fondness of metal music, I shall (maybe) explore this realm I thought had died when Metallica became mainstream."
Some of the best 4 minutes of my life lol.
Been loving this song lately, just what I need to help with dark and darkening times. Thank you. Keep it up!
Un himno para cantar a todo pulmón. 🖤
Jesse and Howard should sing together.
AlphaLeader772 They can't do that because then the world would explode.
sciphan
Actually the world would be better.
+AlphaLeader772 I don't know if the world is ready for that level of epic.
They have performed my last serenade together live before.....

For a song, it would be different.I want to have the song in my playlist.

I love these kinds of videos where you can see how much fun they’re having being a band
