I had clear Drip Drops 38mm in the 90s. Pebbles are deadly! Wheels started off that small. OJ Lil Bling Blings Mini Chubbies 99a 45mm might be good for curbs. I always put Swiss in my small wheels back then. Fast and durable.
4:20 wow its looks so crazy rolling up and grinding lmao, its wild how diff setups effect your skating from board/wheels/trucks and oh yea that bluish ledge looks smooth!!
he rides a quiver of boards, He has that set also. I'm the same i skate like 10 set ups and change them constantly. I set up more Christmas completes than decks. He skates a lot of Christmas completes.
I remember when this was the trend. There were .38 specials, 38mm, .44 magnums, etc. They would cone and flatspot very quickly. You could not keep your momentum up no matter how much you pushed.
Probably great for beginners learning tricks on clean flat ground. Smaller wheel means more friction, so slower. My OJ Super Juice wheels are all speed.
the ground in pa must be really bad, it looks cool in footage though. I skate a lot of crusty spots, its what I prefer. and my advice ''52mm OJ Keyframes 87a duro" that wheel will change your ride in the streets. It doesnt slide super well, but it will once broken in, and going faster, that's not what its for really, but it will allow you to skate "through some really bad areas" and still have your POP for ollies and tricks, and keep SPEED!!!
In 1992 I lathed my cockroaches down to 30mm, back then the smaller the wheels the cooler it looked, took me decades to like the look of bigger wheels again
I’ve always liked a medium size wheel to lock onto my grinds ,I would feel super wavy hitting a ledge frontside knowing I might not be locked in . IMO it’s a gimmick, unless you like quad flips 🤷🏻🤣🤣
Aside from the rough ride, small wheels make tech skating A LOT EASIER. Hence the huge leap in progression from 92-94 when everyone was skating tiny wheels.
Had them on for a few seshs but they didn't work out for me. The angle of pop resulting of the small wheels made every ollie based trick so awkward. I really thought it would improve my flips, cause they are so tiny and light, baut the pop was all messed up.
Honestly the proportions look wack to me with tiny wheels, and the spots I skate would be miserable skating those lol I guess the weight saving is a pro for sure though
@@jrickets5309 I should have been more specific. I've definitely seen them with 2 and 3 spokes on motorcycles and cars. Looks just like a small hub knockoff ( that's the part on a car). Check motorcycle parts.
Put those 38mm on a slick(everslick) deck and you're back in 93'
Pressure flip and late shuv were standard tricks
Ahh I forgot to do a p flip
@@spencernuzzi yo can we get Nuzzis in 38mm bruh... Love the shape of the 44mm
Thanks bro

That looks crazy
That looks like home to me. This is how we chill from 93 till.
Haha right it’s like floating
Takes me back at least 30 years 😂
1992
some would even consider this a big board, people dont believe 7.75 even 7.5 was considered a b ig board. anybody that road an 8 was a goon.
@@beatles42ohgg94 still got a 7.75 slick in my pile of old decks.
YES omg I saw these on the website! I gotta get a pair!

@@TRAVIESO_NAyee I’m hoping to skate it today tho!
@@TRAVIESO_NA same 😂
World Industries tee with them teeny wheels. What year am I in?
damn spencer still making content - cool! i remember his skinny pants era
You should do magnums on the front and your other wheels on the back like a hot rod. It would probably feel like your always going downhill.
Ahaha that would be a fun idea!
The crazy thing is, we use to skate them down past that, back in the 90’s. They are very slow in comparison to a normal 50+mm wheel.
Very interesting! I definitely would like to try these out for fun one day just to see what it’s like.

Used to rock these wheels called 38 specials back in the day. Think my favorite wheels were the hard times tho
🛹💯🙌
Came here to mention the 38 specials. Loved them back in the 90s.
Looks cool
Would you recommend tiny wheels for beginners?
Them are soo cute 😍
lol 🛹💯
Oh no, not only are big pants back, tiny wheels are back too. What's coming back next? Floating axle trucks and bridgebolts?
bro. those are ridiculous 🤣
respect tho
just shows how much you rip that you can even shred on those
🔥🤙🏼🛹
Had to buy some just simply because of the packaging lol
Ahaha right? I have some on a shelf for display
Hit a rock and it’s over….me and my boy used to have wheels like that when we were kids.

thats so stndard setup in '92.. the smallest i had was 44..but where we sk8 then,i crave 50s thou😂
I just copped the spitfire sliders 52mm. They are perfect especially for this NY crust
How cute!
Haha right!
My current diameters are between 41- 42 mm
I wonder how low to the ground u feel. Like i wonder if its lower than thunders with 49mm
looks like you could ride around and scoop up leaves with the front truck hahaha.
SW Krookie 5-0 on the curb was nuts
🙌🙏
I got a set of 45 Iv been debating to skate but right now I ride 51 and we don’t got good ground in pa:(

You ain’t lying. I grew up in Pittsburgh. I still skate there every summer too. It’s rugged terrain.
I'm in the Poconos and don't go smaller than 55 mm.
@@TRAVIESO_NAI prefer the OG Slimeballs 90 A 54.5 mm.

If they made the wheel a little wider to be flush with the nut I would buy them

Need Spencer in Gifted Hater YSL, show these fools wassup
Litterally a condom for the bearings 😂

I have the bc 38x103a truck bite on pebbles
i have some old powell wheels, they are 46mm X40mm wide
32mm days on north east streets were the wort thing ever
Looks normal sized to me.
Like kinda tho! Big fingerboard vibes
My wife's favorite quote
Haha i’m sure I’ve skated wheels smaller than that bak in 93👆🏼
lol I think they made 36

I believe a 32 mm UFO wheel was made in the early 90's. It's hard to find information about it but I've heard it a few times.
@@JoshuaNichols-rj9fv we used to lathe down old wheels at school in the early 90’s to get the size and shape we wanted. Saved a few quid as well.
probably they feel slow cus the wheel has to do more laps to cover the same distance so probably theres a lot of more friction on the bearings
The bearings look big compared to the wheel lol
Right?! It’s crazy looking
Oh fuck,, i really felt flash backs of 92
Have you watched Kasso RUclips channel? Who is your team to clear them obstacles?
I bet these would look even more hilarious on some standard stage 11 indys, that fatass hanger w the tiny wheel would look so funny

we all had that one friend who skated wheels that were power slid into non existence wheels lmao tell me im wrong

There’s some 36mm I saw on eBay I forgot what company made them though

Too bad somebody doesn't make 1/2" truck nuts that resemble winged 2-bar & 3-bar center caps for wire wheels. Lowrider skateboarding.
They do. It's called a wing nut.
They're not specifically for skateboards.
