Do you think this is the best Ducati Monster ever made? I do! Comment below.
Hell no
@@MrRGM10 So you agree it is?
@Rembo USMC I dont.. For me the monster 1100 or 1200
@@MrRGM10 This new one feels well balanced. I rode a 2002 Monster 620 in the mountains around Bologna last year and that too felt great.
Certainly not. I have no idea why you would think so other than quid pro quo to borrow it. My '14 Monster in the garage makes 130HP, has a SSSA, and an exposed trellis frame. It's a peach with 6K miles and I paid $7K for it. The '23 does have a fuel gauge so I suppose that's worth another $8K. How does it compare to an '23 MT-09 at $9.5K?
great review as always. I love my SP. That engine is so proven. I have a V2 Pani as a dedicated track bike and the Monster SP for daily riding. It’s the goldilocks bike for the street, in the same way that the Multi 950s is for touring (same engine) The Ducati twins are just special. I also have the Supersport, another Goldilock bike for light touring
Very nice! Nice setups.
@@RemboUSMC grazie!!!
Good "real world" review. I pick mine up this Saturday. I have been a Triumph guy for years, but this new SP Duck really grabbed me by the feels. Can't wait! I live in Tennessee and we have some epic riding around here. looking forward to it! Semper Fi, jarhead 👍
Good choice! I am jealous of the riding that you have in your area.
Keep looking at this bike. Current FZ09 rider that I bring to Jennings (was at the military track days in the fall and a couple others in January) quite often. Had 2 FZ07s prior to that. Seems quite comparable to the FZ09 in many ways (weight, power, handling). I absolutely love my fz09 and have had Corsa in Clearwater do some amazing work on it, that triple is an absolute peach. I also LOVE twins, I loved when I took my FZ07 up to Jennings and just love a nice thumper of a twin. Drawn to the more premium bike in the ducati and have also liked the monster (especially that gorgeous 1200 with single sided swing arm). Not in any sort of rush to get another bike but definitely would like to take a rip on these new monster 937s
It’s a fun bike for sure sue in part to its low weight and torquey motor. It’s ideal for suburban driving. Fast as a rocket til 110/120 where it looses momentum approaching top speed.
Just what you need for the street to keep your license
I have the plus model, I love it other than I am 6'2" and feel like the bike is a bit on the small size for me.
But other than that the power is great and feel is nibble like you said breaks are powerful took me some time to get used to how powerful they are.
Fair enough!
You got this video out quick!
I am off today so I had time.
You killed me with Polish “Dupa” reference 😂 great review!
Glad you like it.
Great review Bro ❤
Thank you so much 🙂
I'm 180 cm tall and I say I'm 5' 11" - I guess you could say you're 180-181 cm tall, the 170 is like 4 inches less :) Great review, love the Ducatis!!
Thanks for the info!
Being a bike that the rider sits up on like the MS, yes you can compare the two. Do you listen to the dealer on never running the new engine up to max rpm? Every new machine I bought I took to max rpm. Never had any issues with the engine or trans.
Good video, BTW.
Not sure about the RPMs
Thank you for the review. I'm in between the Monster SP and the SF V2.
Hmmmm. Tough choice. Which one suits you more with the type of riding you do and which one feels more comfortable to you?
@@RemboUSMC right now I'm on a Harley Lowrider S. I test rode a V4 Saturday and that was insane. I don't need all that.
My Dream Ducati ❤
Its about 14kg (wet) lighter than a Hyper SP with same engine and be an awesome track weapon - I’m tempted
I didn’t say so, but I almost felt like I was on the hypermotard
Rembo, I love hearing you say “ let’s take this out on the highway…” that absolutely cracks me up every time! As in fact, where you live in Florida has nothing but highways! The most curves I’ve ever seen is that industrial estate you start your test rides that has a ring road😂😂😂😂 You absolutely crack me up! Just remember when you rode that old Monster on Italian roads! Imagine that is my back yard 😉 This SP is made for those roads. Not highways.⭐️
I’m originally from Pennsylvania up in the mountains. Riding in Florida is good because you can take your motorcycle out all year around even though the riding itself sucks.
This SP has the same engine as the Supersport , but the Sport is roughly, 60lbs heavier, so this Bike must Boogie pretty Good ,??⚡️⚡️
How would this compare the Triumph Street Triple 765 ,??
For smoothness, I love the 765
Is it two seater?
Also comes with a passenger seat
@ 11:46 ??? is that how you guy ride down there?
hate to see someone cut you off.
don’t trust anyone, ride safe.
btw, you pronounce those italian words pretty good.
It’s a Florida thing. Grazie
greetings from Poland ;)
Thanks for coming
Great vid... Question/thoughts: I'm noticing allot of motorcycles vlogs out of Florida showing riders lane-splitting. Having completed four AD tours in Cali (12 years), I'm used to/comfortable splitting (conservatively), but was curious if you are seeing more of it in South FL or all around FL and is it becoming more generally accepted by automobile drivers and/or law enforcement. I'm currently in the panhandle and spend most of my time on Eglin AFB commuting, so I don't see it much up here, but would love for it to become more socially accepted on the road and maybe legal some day. BTW- You may know this, but in talking to the CHiPs in our annual safety briefings, they told us it is neither legal nor illegal in Cali.. it just is what it is.
Your thoughts?
It is tolerated but not legal. Lane filtering is more widely accepted in south Florida because of the insane traffic we have. The cops here have better things to do. The FHP, however, are the only ones that may not be quite to busy.
This bike on bumpy roads do you think will be hard? Or can be soft and comfy ?
Anything Ohlins for sport will be a bit of a harder ride than stock which is often a bit softer.
i believe this is a L2 not a V2, same engine as the Hyper 950SP
Engine heat on traffic depends on the weather if its 24 C and lower you will probably not feel it
Great point
Like so many bikes today, gorgeous from the right. A plumbing rat's nest from the left. I could live with it as my bikes are parked where I can only see their right side in the garage. Termi's are a great touch. In any other year, this would be high on my list of hot bikes, but Triumph dropped the bomb with their new 765s and done it at a stupidly reasonable price. Unless they're sold out everywhere, I can't see a good reason I'd buy any other sporty middleweight currently.
I agree. The street triple is number 1 and then the Monster on my list for possible second bike.
I agree the street triple is an awesome bike
How does it feel? Very hot 🔥
You talk about “heat” while standing at a light where another motorcyclist rides his bike with Bermuda shorts. 🤣
Yes, the Monster SP is too hot and it is unbearable while standing at a light. The price is also too high, unless you have money to burn 🔥
This suit for tall riders?
I guess it depends on how tall you are and what seating position you are comfortable in. Most very tall people prefer larger, adventure, bikes.
nice review. flat straight roads with traffic is not moto nirvana! boring for all. i feel for peeps in florida, oklahoma, LA, etc. and for us that watch reviews in such boring locales. i might not even own a bike if i lived there...
I agree.
Need.
Still no cruise control 😢
Nope
I know it's not legal in FL, but do bikers are still filtering in traffic? I see you were hesitant, but, not doing it on a little Duc is a sin :)
Not legal but we do it
I'm surprised you didn't comment on the CHUMP with ZERO sense regarding his choice in gear when you were at the lights?? Gives biker's a really bad name.
And of course...Ohlins stickin with their same ol' pretty gold forks😅😂
5'11.5" is about 182cm.
there is a brainless squid on your left.. hahahahahahahhaa
15.595 buckaroozies !!!! 🤣😂😂
