I love Kurzweil, had a K2000 years ago. Both sound great, Mark👏😀
Thanks my friend for your reaction
I think, basically these are two instruments with their own character & strengths.. None necessarily better then.. Although at times I find that Korg is bass heavy while Kurzweil’s musical flow is sonically consistent & spread out across all keys.. These results in my opinion between the two, is really subjective..it is a Matter of taste. And.. personally I favor The. New Kurzweil K 2700. A winner by TKO 😀
Yes.. The new kurzweil take the TKO. Thanks for your positive response.. Appreciated your feedback
WOW, that short jazz excerpt in your first demo. I am so engrossed with those kind of harmonies. This is one awesome flex hahaha, I enjoyed it a lot!
Its not me playing. Lol lol
Its mexkeys
Both keyboards sound great! I love your jazzy playing very much. Thumbs up, Mark!
Thanks
I enjoy listening to your jazz playing style! Fabulous job doing the video!!
Thanks my friend for your positive response
Nice demo of these two keyboards. They both sound really good! Thanks for letting us compare these two side-by-side!!
Thanks
@@MarkSomosoMusic You're welcome!
Definitivamente kurzweil win
To my ears, Kurzweil wins. It sounds more "organic", so as to say.
Kurzweil reigns!!!!
Korg is always my opinion
Kruzweil is better indeed..
Two different kind of piano sound... i mean... starting with just the presets and samples that are different. There are so many patches and paramentres on both the workstations that a real direct comparison is nearly impossible! Both are TOP keyboards! In THIS comparison the Kurz sounfs more mellow and yes... more organic... unless the playing dinamic start to rise. The Korg is more aggressive, billiant with a fast attack... maybe more suited to cut in a mix that for a piano solo! But on both the keyboars one can go back and forth simply changin the patch sound... or tons of parametres like the keybed dinamic curve, the eq and many others.
Thank you very much for the important video!
Thanks for your positive response
King Kronos vs captain Kurzweil…
I’m not even listening for the sound of the boards… I’m trying to figure out what those absolutely delicious riffs are
thanks man for leaving positive response
Kurzweil is realistic piano sound
Kurzweil is King!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fantastic work friend, sound spectacular 👏👏 a hug
Thanks
@@MarkSomosoMusic you're welcome
BOTH. The Kurzweil sound is beautiful digital while the Kronos sound more analoguis, but also beautiful. I will buy both some day very soon, but if the purchase is going to be in a sequential order, it will be King Kronos first
Interesting comparison 🎶 both sound great 😊 I cannot say which is better ✨but I enjoyed your playing 🤩so cool 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks my friend for your positive response
Kronos sounds very mid-heavy. The hammer sounds stiffer. Kurzweil sounds extremely well balanced.
In all fairness the Kronos sounds as you program it to sound... it has EQ and being a KORG it will be easier to use IMO. But I would say the strength of the Kronos is creating new synth sounds over emulating a piano where the knowledge base and skill of the pilot will likely outweigh any advantages using either one. Based on what I've read I think I would like the action on the K2700 the most but lets face it... using the original MIDI Standard (40 yr's old and 1/30,000 as fast as WIFI) without Poly AT and release velocity sensitivity we are still back in the 70s lacking basic MIDI polyphonic expression needed to emulate something as simple as bending a single string via the key in real time using AT.
Until Poly AT is brought back from the early days of synth design and implemented properly utilizing todays tech and progress I will continue to say a new MIDI Controller with Poly AT supporting MIDI 2 is needed far more than a new keyboard workstation. That way we have a horse to hook up to a new standard of cart design as well as almost all high-end synths made since the KORG O1W and Roland U220 because they support RECIEVING Poly AT... just not sending it. And they support receiving POLY AT because dedicated MIDI controllers like the Elka MK 76/88, Roland A80, and other synths like the early Ensoniq and Yamahas supported POLY AT which is even more important in 2022 with todays vastly more complex synth sounds begging for individual key control expression features where just increasing the volume of a chosen note can make or break the desired expression of emotion... as can bending a note where a foot peddle can come in handy to chose which choice is is applied.
What's interesting is coming out with a new MIDI 2 Keyboard Controller supporting POLY AT and release velocity will not "out date" older high end MIDI 1 supported synths, but rather open up their potential and likely increase their resale value.
I would go for the Kurzweil but man oh man you play like a boss! How long did it take you to learn to play like that?
10 years... Thanks for your positive response on my video.
Wich one has the best keybed for a piano player?
SOUND CHARACTERS
Nord - metal sound ... feeling solid & precise
Kurzweil - wooden sound ... feeling warm & natural
Japanese brands / Roland, Yamaha, Casio, Korg.. - plastic sound ... feeling somthing artificial
Piano sound of Kurzweil is always top yet, acoustically realistic.
What a beautiful and realistic hammering of Kurzweil, Japanese brands could'nt do.
I can feel even trembling of wooden piano from Kurzweil.
Japanese brands sound artificially and synthetically, as character of Japanese senses.
Japanese sounds couldn't hide electrically made.
Listen to Yamaha, Roland, Casio....., May always same.
Arbor ko na lang yung new Kurzweil mo! 😅✌ Out of stock na Kronos 2 88keys eh. Bwahahahaha
Super
Thanks my friend
Two different rooms?
Two different sound speakers outputs?
Don’t know if it’s the same player
This will NOT do justice for either one
Kurzweil
Which do you love the most Bro. Mark? Korg Kronos or Kurzweil K2700? Thanks and God bless you! 🙏🙂
hindi yan sa akin kurweil. never played it lol... download ko lang sa friend ko
@@MarkSomosoMusic Aguy pastilan! I can't believe you pranked me 😆😂🤣😅✌ Bwahahahaha when you're in Manila, I'll take you to the dealer in Quezon City my dear Brother ❤
I find the K2700 to sound dull and lifeless, and a bit bass heavy. In many passages, the higher notes are almost completely lost. All of the notes on the Kronos are distinct, and easily heard. With that said, there is a fairly major flaw in this comparison. The listener position is vastly different between the two -- the K2700, positionally, is heard from the audience perspective, while the Kronos is heard from the player's perspective. The Kronos should have been set so that its listener position matched the K2700 (an easy option to change on the Kronos). It's possible that, had this setting been made, that the two would have had a more similar response, even though the underlying samples are vastly different.
I also wonder what the point is in comparing an 11-year-old discontinued instrument with a brand new instrument. A better, though similar, comparison might be against Korg's newest performance workstation, the Nautilus.
The performance, on both instruments, is beautiful, though, and I'd happily sit and listen to the musicians play either or both for hours.
Appreciated your time commenting on this video. Thanks alot for your constructive feedback... Appreciated
what difference does it make when the product was released??? Would you not compare tannoys of the 50's or 60's with any of the new speakers no matter what technologies were used to produce the new speakers? Still, after comparison, become disappointed in any of the newer ones... Or, would you not compare 500 years old stradivarius to the newer violins/strings? at least to know which of and where the new ones are... Absolutely doesn't matter when anything was released...
Kurzweil wins again for me.
If anyone is really a pianist will know for a fact that Korg has a problem with the Middle "C" tenshion around there is no match for Yamahas or Kurzweil / Roland. comparing a Kia to a BMW, no point in this Video !
Both sound great but kronos stole it on depths and having a piano engine with multiple samples showed through.
Thanks
Kurzweil win. K2700 distrugge Kronos con due note. La credibilità sonora di Kurzweil è insuperabile.
Both are same
Korg Kronos WIN!
I don’t understand….Obviously Kurzweil sends Korg to the trash bin. Am I the only one?
no mate, you are not the only one, The kurzweil sounds more live and natural over the korg. Yeah korg do the everything, but sound wise, i think that's roland and kurzweil.
Kurzweil won.

I think the Kurzweil wins on sound, and on looks.
Kronos blows it out of the water lol.
