- Fusion Kitch'n is celebrating this season's Swedish Crayfish Party (Swedish Crawfish Festival). Join us to this celebration and learn how to make crispbread (Swedish: knäckebröd or fröknäcke / frökeks) with Caroline, which is an indispensable part of the Crayfish Festival. Enjoy this healthy, gluten-free fusion version of Fröknäcke recipe for breakfast, lunch, dinner or as a healthy snack meanwhile.
Serves: 6-8 pieces
Ingredients:
80g pumpkin seeds
50g corn flour (gluten-free option), alternatively any other flour
10g chia seeds
0.75 tea spoon salt (or to taste)
0.75 tea spoon turmeric powder (curcuma)
40g sunflower seeds
80g line seed
40g sesame seed
200ml boiling water
2 table spoons of coconut oil (or any other cooking oil)

How to make the dough:
At first, pre-heat your oven to 120 degrees celcius. Then, add the seeds, flour, salt and turmeric powder into a bowl. Mingle everything well and add the oil and boiling water to the mixture. Stir again, and let the mixture rest for five minutes and to thicken. Now spread the dough on a baking paper and create the flat crispbread shape. You can use another sheet of baking paper on top and a rolling pin to make the shape even more flat. Now you cut the dough into pieces of the size you wish to have and place the paper on a tray. Bake the crispbread for approximately 50 minutes (depending on your oven strength the baking time may vary).
