As someone who grew up in Tonawanda, I think your assessment is very accurate. Especially the part about water in the backyard! Niawanda Park and the Canalside are nice.
You're right about the issues with diversity here! That's why we chose to purchase our home in West Amherst/Sweethome. Not a lot of diversity but it's better in relation to the other suburbs.
Cleveland Hill, Cheektowaga Central, Amherst Central, Williamsville and Maryvale(Cheektowaga) are some other suburban school districts with more diversity than others. You may have some pockets in the Kenmore-Tonawanda SD and of course the West Side of Lackawanna, which is really a city, are other areas outside of Buffalo. Niagara Falls and Lockport are other cities in the metro area with a decent to high degree of diversity.
@ckh937610 very true. But we lived in the Cleveland Hill district before we moved to Amherst and I was not a fan, at all. Also not a fan of the schools. I couldn't wait to get out of Cheektowaga! I will never move back. People are nicer in Amherst and I feel safer. But you make a good point.
I wish the diversity was better. I grew up in OP and it was BAD back 20 years ago. I hear it's way better now than it was back then but I'm sure it could still be better.

Thanks for making this informative RUclips video to help me get an idea of the Buffalo suburbs.👍
When I get ready to move back to Buffalo I’m only going to you. Hopefully in 4 years 🙏🏻

Diversity is a weakness. Just look at NYC. so diverse that people are fleeing like it's the Titanic.
As a Torontonian I really enjoy coming over to Buffalo and it's suburbs. Nicer than the GTA.
Love the way you explained the suburbs 😊
I’m curious did you move to NC? I discovered your channel covering NC.
NC? North carolina?
I know you’re gonna be busy this year
