I saw "YES" in 1976 at the Inglewood Forum in Los Angeles. I was 16, and it was my first concert. It was magical and majestic to me! I've seen them 5 times since. They played this live in 76......and the song sounded fantastic. Great reaction!
Stan, I think many Yes fans are looking for signs that you are ready to take the next steps because with Yes their songs have the power take you on an amazing and emotional musical journeys like no other band. I can promise you an incredible ride if you start with "The Yes Album" and move forwards onto "Fragile" then "Close to the Edge" then "Relayer" and "Going for the One" where "Wonderous Stories" comes from. I think you are lucky as you can experience these amazing works for the first time. For Yes fans we like to see and hear how a new generation reacts, we have heard these songs hundreds of times but still they sound fresh, amazing and up lifting (another great thing about Yes). Go to "The Yes Album" and try "Yours is no disgrace", "Starship Trooper", "I've Seen All Good People" and "Perpetual Change" they are all great entry songs. The next step is not to be overawed by long 20 minute songs (these are all Yes epic masterpieces) and try "Close to the Edge" that is a ride like no other. For me the number 1 Yes album is "Tales From Topographic Oceans". Have fun and take the Yes ride.
Yes are an English progressive rock band formed in 1968. The band has undergone numerous line-up changes throughout its history, up to nineteen musicians have been full-time members. They have had a lot of great songs such as "Owner Of A Lonely Heart", "Going For The One", "Masquerade", "Yours Is No Disgrace", "Heart Of The Sunrise", "The Gates Of Delirium", "And You & I", "Close To The Edge" etc. Sadly drummer Alan White passed away recently.
On the album; the next song is one of Yes's greatest...Awaken. The segue from the end of wonderous into Awaken is so perfect...When you've heard the album a few hundred times; the expectation of what's to come is sublime...Nice reation!
Nice to see you back on the YES Train 'Life With Stan'. You have barely scratched the surface with this great band, the greatest band to ever do it. You really need to listen to their epics, 'Close to the Edge', The Gates of Delirium", 'Awaken', etc... You will not be disappointed!🤩
Well done in listening to the whole song without stopping the video. Far too many reactors disrespect the artist by interrupting the music. The artist did not make the song to be constantly stopped and commented on. You are showing the artists the respect they rightfully deserve.
Always listen to you. Loved your ABBA journey and reactions; you always explain your reaction, and that’s important. Plus you’re entertaining. For Yes, I forget what you’ve done but Close to the Edge, Gates of Delirium, Awaken, and for me Machine Messiah are must-dos ❤❤ I’ll have to recheck as I think you may have done one of these?
The way I feel everytime I'm with Nature! Look some of us were blessed to have grown up with YES in the 70's. I' saw them Liv then and many times after. You still have many more YES mountains to climb. Just dive in with YOURS IS NO DISGRACE, HEART OF THE SUNRISE and if truly ready then go to CLOSE TO THE EDGE Album!!!!!! You have no idea what you're getting into! LOL YES gets intense!!!!
There are so so many great songs by Yes. In fact I have to think hard to find a song I don't like. But try Starship Trooper, And You and I, Close to the Edge, Long Distance Runaround, I've Seen All Good People, A Venture, Perpetual Change, Yours is No Disgrace.
Ladies and gentlemen YES the greatest show on earth. Just so you know Jon Anderson singer, Steve Howe guitar and Chris Squire bass are all self taught! Crazy eh! 🙏🍁
Stan, my man! A year without doing any more YES? If you want your mind blown, listen to the "Close to the Edge" album. 3 songs... "Close to the Edge", "And You and I", and "Siberian Khatru". True masterpieces! There is soo much more, but that is an excellent place to go next. Do that, and you won't regret it!
OK, it's been 11 months since this reaction video - so if you were so impressed by what you've already heard by Yes, why haven't you done more? A logical next reaction would be for "And You and I". 1970s Yes were magical - every song they crafted is a self contained masterpiece - there are absolutely no 'filler' tracks. Do yourself a huge favour and do some more exploring into this remarkable band.
Going for the One was the gateway album for me to get into Yes. This song is just ethereal.

Great reaction!
What a group 👏
Rick Wakemans keyboards add so much to this wonderful arrangement.Great song.😅
In case you were wondering that is a Portuguese guitar Steve Howe is playing.
That, That Is from 1996 Keys to the Ascension, it’s a long song but another YES MASTERPIECE.
Yes for more Yes. Nice reaction and thx 🤙
"Yours Is No Disgrace" is a great one from Yes

Musically, you have watched one of the greatest live performances of a studio album song, wow amazing perfection.
It is a great song Paul but there is at least a little lip synching going on 😊
Just go down that rabbit hole Stan. You won't regret it! 🔥🤘✌
YES IS ABSOLUTELY THE BEST!!!

Jon tends to enunciate pretty clearly. Another one would be I've Seen All Good People.
Stan, In the presence Of a masterpiece YES song
