I bought the 10.5 Carbon because it was dirt cheap, heard lots of great things about it and I love Wilson...still play best with my 77 Wilson Staff blades. I think it's amusing guys spend thousands on high end drivers and they are like 17 to 25 handicappers. All they would have to do to shave strokes is leave the big stick in the bag more, work on their course management, and get better from 125 and in.

I’m the same, Wilson is one of my favourite brands as well. Do some really really good stuff. Looking forward to see how the new driver will perform that is coming out this year….. even though let’s be honest it will be similar to the carbon that’s already out, which is great, as nothing changes that much over the years. Very nice regarding the Wilson blades. 👍
Agree, course management is the best way to reduce your score. You don’t need to be bombing it down a fairway 300 yards each time. Majority of courses you just need say 200 yards plus and be on the fairway. Then have a mid iron onto the green and hopefully a par shot at the end. Finding the fairway is one of the most important things to lower scores. If you are 3 off the tee each time or chipping it out the trees the score will just add up! Also technology has not moved on that far over the years, as it can’t due to regulations. Means you can get a driver for £100 that performs just as well as a brand new one costing £500! So I agree with your comment.
