When u record in the studio they actually smooth it out and put the notes where they need to be. Well it's an option. Now they use triggers for live performance which is used for a consistant tone.. Groove metal is my favorite, but the ability to play the drum parts to bands like Deicide, Nile, Hate Eternal, etc. is just insane. Believe me, I am a huge Weckl, Colaiuta, Chambers, Rich, Roach, Cobham, Gadd, etc. fan. I love most styles, and anyone who plays something that I know is difficult earns my respect.
