17:09 reminds of Isaiah 65:1 (KJV) I am sought of them that asked not for me; I am found of them that sought me not: I said, Behold me, behold me, unto a nation that was not called by my name.
33:31 sorry for disturbing you but i would like to request that on the next service could issue a prayer for the unsaved. The pastors who are deceived, the people who they have deceived and the many who know nothing about the gospel due to false religions. If its okay with you. I know we have preach to them that God may humble them so that they may understand the truth and accept the gospel.
Some people that are in the free grace community say you don’t need to believe details about the cross to be saved or that you don’t have to believe the death burial and resurrection to be saved i don’t understand how you could be saved if you don’t understand who Jesus is and what he saved you from am I missing something?
You must understand that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God who did die, was buried and did rise again to fully pay for your sins. When you believe in Him for those reasons, you receive everlasting life. This took me 1 minute to type. It’s ridiculous to remove the details. If there is a person (like children) who really have little to no understanding of Jesus, then it must be explained. Jesus could be next door. It could be Joshua down the street. It could be Yeezy up the block. You gotta explain it… - Trent
Challenged, sure, but we do not do much debating. We are also pretty firm in our belief concerning the pre-tribulation rapture teaching (mostly due to the purpose of the tribulation as layed out in Daniel and Jeremiah). The rapture placement views are secondary to the gospel message. - Trent
Hello pastor Jesse I want to believe more in salvation through faith but the passages of a 2 Corinthians 5:10 and and revelations 20:12 have me second guessing it is purely through faith. Could you help me understand these verses which talk about God judging us at his throne
Revelation 20:12 is about the Dead being judged for their works. Those who aren't saved .. dead in their sin.. 2 Corinthians 5:10 is about us and our work in the body after being saved. We will be rewarded for our works after salvation. Salvation is free and our works are rewarded. 1 Corinthians 3:15 says even if a man's work is completely burned up at the judgement seat, he himself shall be saved. 0 works 0 reward but still have that free gift of salvation that cannot be lost, given back, or taken away.
2 Cor. 5:10-11 can be tied to 1 Cor. 3:10-15. Believers are judged at this judgment for what they have done for Christ. This is for rewards, not salvation. Revelation 20 is regarding the Great White Throne judgment where unbelievers go. Notice they are called “dead.” Believers have been made alive (Eph. 2:1-8) spiritually. Unbelievers are judged on their works by which we believe there may be levels of punishment in hell. They go to hell because they never believed (John 3:18). Which judgment you end up going to does not depend on your works, but it depends ultimately on whether you have believed in Christ alone or not. Salvation is a free gift to you if you simply believe Jesus died to pay for all your sins, was buried and rose again. See Romans 3:20-28. - Trent
I overthink so much. Someone please help me. I believe that Jesus death paid for my sin but I didn’t know his resurrection also paid for my sin. This has confused me and is causing me to get scared because I’m worried I believed wrong. Am I still saved if I believe that Jesus death only paid for my sin and believe that he rose again for the reason of defeating death ?
Ok. So just to confirm I can believe that only Jesus death paid for sin, not his resurrection and simply also believe that he was buried and rose again proving he is god and therefore I am saved ?
The resurrection is like the receipt proof of his payment, so yes. You’re saved. Don’t overcomplicate or worry. If you left out details, that’s the only point to be concerned. The focus is that He is the Christ who DID do these things. Believe it. - Trent
Christmas actually has nothing to do with Jesus Christ. It’s actually Saturnalia and Brumalia celebrations. With a bit of Yul and Krampus sprinkled over it. Jesus Christ, the real one wasn’t even born in December. What is being celebrated is pagan. Don’t believe me though, search for it and know also. Celebrate what thou wilt…, but don’t think it’s our Saviour’s date of birth.
Sure, there are pagan roots tied to the holiday, but we don’t idolize or worship these things. We worship Jesus Christ, and we preach him crucified. Ideally, every day we should celebrate his life, death and payment for sin. - Trent

That why the long face joke was under appreciated. Jesus was very funny after the resurrection.

Are you willing to be challenged on the Pre Trib view?

Yes, you’re saved. If you rejected certain details, then that would be concerning. If he didn’t rise, then obviously his death was pointless.
