    put a steel pin in a vise....grab a grinder and grind it down to the length and angle you need. Worked for me anyhow. Was a pain, stop to check, grind, repeat, but works good.

    I make them the same way except I get my jigs etc from Janns Netcraft. Wondering how you put the bend in the blade?? Enjoy your video's except the one where they tore apart your boat. Pretty sad.

      @ThatGuySkimpy  5 лет назад +1

      I bought them like that. Cant remember where? Maybe Ebay?

    Do you bend your own blades because the ones I ordered came flat?

  • @BassManStrikes
    @BassManStrikes 3 года назад +1

    I noticed the flat eye arkie mold has a different shape than the standard straight eye trokar version, the flat eye version is more like the sparkie mold.

    Any change in the action with connection with split ring?

    • @ThatGuySkimpy
      @ThatGuySkimpy  4 года назад

      It has a little bit different action than putting straight on.Not a worse action or anything, just different. Hard to explain but maybe more of a "wobble"

  • @mackfrizzle5045
    @mackfrizzle5045 4 года назад +1

    As far as the action do you like the blade directly to the eye or to the O-ring? Which one has more vibration?

    • @ThatGuySkimpy
      @ThatGuySkimpy  4 года назад +1

      I like both. Hars to say really. About the same vibration I think. Hard to explain but I think having a split ring is a wider action and without is tighter action. If that makes sense lol

    This seems like a dumb question but is there any downside or negative to using the pro swim jig mold to make these instead of having to buy two separate molds? Thanks for any response. I've been making them with the poison tail but the hook punching sucks, in my opinion. They look nice but that process is a pain considering hooks breaking.

    • @ThatGuySkimpy
      @ThatGuySkimpy  4 года назад +1

      I like the pro swim !!!! Yeah hooks can break trying to open. Something you can try is to heat up the hooks first. Not all hooks work as good as others

    • @justinwood683
      @justinwood683 4 года назад +1
