"I'm not here to simp for Elon."
Spends the next 20 minutes defending every hypocritical decision he ever made 😂😂😂😂😂
Literally gargling elons balls
Guy is using a voice changer... he's never been a progressive in his life. Sam saw through it as soon as he opened his mouth
@@TraumaQueen65 Exactly. This asshat is no progressive and he's definitely using a voice changing device.
@@TraumaQueen65 "I'm progressive since I was 3" LOL
@@TraumaQueen65 Yup, pretty sure he used a voice changer as well. Either that or he was doing the cinnamon challenge while calling... While covering his mic with his hand...

these your goalposts bro?
I heard that, too, and chortled. 😅Guy cannot see the hypocrisy. Sheeesh
@@AwesometownUSAYoy just scored an own goal.
What a silly argument honestly. We ban other gender slurs… did anyone honestly expect Elon to let everyone call each other the F cigarette word?
It was like talking to a Trump supporter who wants to defend Elon.
I wonder how much Tesla stock he owns.
"I'm progressive and I want to speak of your elon musk perception..." I started to laugh immediately.
I wonder if the sheer number of eye rolls has sped up the Earth's rotation....
Yeah, always a huge red flag when someone starts their opinion of trying to pre-validate it using their supposed identity.
The more you have to repeat what you are, the more likely it is you are lying to both yourself and everyone else.
💀
I wonder if he's one of those 'progressives' who argues against all the most important progressive policies. You know, like a Pooliberal.
Its crazy how a "long time listener" could support Melon Musk
"im a progressive since I was three years old." Ah yes, all the three year olds I know have developed political beliefs.
The correct statement is "I'm a progressive BECAUSE I'm three years old."
@@dialecticalmonist3405 He already answered you with his answer.
Sounds like Michael Keaton from the show family ties
Me personally, I was a staunch libertarian as a 3 year old. It wasn’t until I was around 8 that I became a communist
Being a fan of a billionaire must feel like walking around a casino you don't own, and hooting like a badass every time the house wins, licking the urinals, and calling the trash can, "Sir".
Yo! 😂😂😂💯
This comment gives me hard Uncle Ruckus vibes.
Did you see lex Friedman at a casino?
Fucking BRUTAL. And I'm here for it! 😂
I almost had an accident laughing at this 😅
Weird how there are now so many “centrists” and even “progressives” who sound just like conservatives
That's what you get when Democrats and liberals are considered the radical left by anyone other than actual leftists. Capitalism kills
People like this usually say they're progressive because they think weed should be legal and gay marriage is cool. They basically haven't changed since 20 years ago and they think these legacy positions still count when they're basically centrists now.
You can thank the oil industry for that @dailywire and the other one.
Like this caller, many people are highly confused
Maybe they're Tim Pool watchers ? I wonder if the right has the same issue 🤔
I love that his argument is simultaneously "elon is defending free speech by allowing hate speech or undesirable speech" to "well its a private company" when it comes to the word cis
And free speech in turkey and India bans for opposition political parties on the platform, Elon defends free speech with censorship.
These people always get slapped down hard once they dare to venture from their echo chambers
"Companies are allowed to do anything they want"
*Companies do something they don't like*
"😖😥😥😥😡😡😡🤬"
I admire Sam for not hanging up on his call because the caller was interrupting him on almost every sentence.
What I love even more than that was how immediate it was. Usually you have to chase these people around a bit more before they contradict themselves, but this guy was doing it out of the gate!
and not like it took any time. he went STRAIGHT to it
Being a fan of a billionaire has got to be one of the cringest things on the planet.
You are just a statistic for them. They don't care about human life they just care about numbers going up and down.
It's like here on MR comment section there's only two options: either you're totally 100 percent on board..... Or you're a moron psychopath who hates humanity.
Maybe there's too much rage against musk. And maybe the argument is a bit less rage. Not that he's a god.
Maybe abortion is bad at a certain point.
I don't think on a lot of topics there's an objective concrete truth. I think there's opinionated nuance. Especially in something like abortion.
I mean... How can we hate someone for being completely anti-abortion? They believe those are babies.
I dunno. I've seen some pretty shitty areas of the world and some pretty downtrodden people. I don't blame anyone for anything that they think feel or do. Everyone's just a product of their environment.

The fact that Elon Musk STILL has stans is such an embarrassment
@DemoWarlockI don’t think we can function as a society and civilization anymore.
r/elonmusk has been pretty entertaining this afternoon.
Have you seen the Jordan Peterson tweets to Elon? They all want to be him AND be "with him". Perhaps they didn't take the warning about the water from Alex Jones serious enough?!
Probably Tesla owners or stockholders lol
Let alone "progresive" fans.
Thank God he's progressive because if he were any more to the right, he'd be goose stepping down main street.
When he works hard enough he's going to buy some Hugo Boss clothing and Drive a early 40's Mercedes
dude he is a progressive
he's advocating to progress more to the right
@Matt-ru5rwBS.
Lmao
It’s only the darling Ukrainians that are doing any goose stepping
It only took two minutes for Sam to identify the contradictions between his claims and what Elon realy does.😂
There's something so off with the caller lol. Like he can't just admit that Elon lied about supporting free speech.
Sam cited only example and argued that the one example means Musk is no more free speech.
It is a dishonest argument. It ignores frequency and degree.
It’s like arguing that because Majority Report bans use of the N-word, Majority Report is every bit as stifling of speech as the North Korean government.
Uh, no.
This guy isn't a real progessive. Real progressive's preferred Twiiter Pre Musk . When it was heavily moderated . I preferred it when the origin of Covid was a racoon dog and the vaccine stopped transmission!
@@jackeagleeye3453 He's a Musk fan. He can't believe that Musk would lie, or do anything wrong. He will bend over backwards to keep the image he has of Musk in his head pure. You see this kind of thing with celebrity fandom all the time, but CEO fandom is new so it seems weird. These people are no different than Chris Brown fans that will bend over backwards to explain away his abuse.
@@ABitOfApplause Is Chris Brown still a thing? I haven't heard from him since like 2012.

“I’m a day 1 progressive” **defends use of slurs as free speech**
“I’m a day 1 progressive” *since the age of 3(?)*
Imagine voluntarily exposing your own inability to think critically like this guy just did lmao
I’m convinced this is just Elon using a voice changer.
No Musk stutters a lot more.
Musk is also too in love with the sound of his own voice to ever do something like that.
'Hello Sam, this is Mister... Ksssum... yes, that will do...'
It sounds like that moron Aymon that was on
Lol I thought that too
Caller could have saved everyone a lot of time by just saying "Elon Musk is right no matter what he does, especially when he contradicts himself" and hang up.
hahaha😄😄
The irony of these shit-stains after Elon's decisions ended up causing Twitter to DDOS itself today is both hilarious and cringeworthy
He never contradicts himself because all of what he says is marketing and propaganda (which are contradictory by their very nature). I can't recall one time Elon Musk made a truthful political argument, except for some extraplanetary life stuff... It has always been a grift
Lol also would’ve been hilarious. And made him seem like he was kidding.
Imagine how tiring it is for Sam to debate complete idiots like the caller. He brought up the First Amendment and couldn't understand Sam's argument it has nothing to do with Twitter's censoring in America and abroad. Or how he didn't understand explanations how Musk's words and actions regarding free speech are literal and blatant examples of hypocrisy. Genuinely low IQ person
Funny how when Jack owned Twitter it was free speech
Now Elon owns it and it's a private company 😂😂
This stan didn't think this call out all the way
and now capitalist subscription based "free speech" is experiencing shortages and rationing.
Who will bring freedom to the people standing in the Twitter bread lines?
That stan is handicapped by Evolution.
Yeah when Dorsey owned it he was "censoring", but Musk is just "exercising free speech" cuz muh first amendment.
It boggles my mind how anybody could be this blind to a glaring contradiction they made. This is not about a finer point or subdiscussion. That was his whole premise for the discussion. Astounding.
I feel like I just lost so many brain cells listening to somebody doing soooo much mental gymnastics to defend a person who doesn't know he exists, and could care less if he died tomorrow.
He knew that using Cis results in a suspension, not a ban yet minutes later acts like he's not familiar with the details.
The hoops this guy jumped through to make nonsense arguments
Cirque du Coliet level shit here
That’s Sam’s way on every issue.
Sam Seder isn’t exactly a bright person. I would smoke him in an IQ contest.
@@CarterDavis-nu6ey i meant the caller, you should quit drinking
@@CarterDavis-nu6ey Call in and debate him on your pet issue then. Prove what a big brain you are.
He's in Elon Musk's Cult. Cults can have a very strong grips on people perception of reality.
It’s actually Elon with a 90’s era voice changer
This was my immediate reaction when I first heard the voice 😂
The voice is like the dude in Silence of the Lambs. It rubs the lotion in and puts the bottle in the bucket 😳🥵
Could be Larry Elder
The "I live in the bottom of a fish tank" voice changer ?
Probably. 😂
I love the old “oh, I didn’t know that happened so it can’t be used as part of this debate” argument. It’s absolutely my favorite.
it’s like when stupid people say “oh I wasn’t born then” to try and cover their ignorance of widely known historical facts like Watergate, the Cuban missile crisis or when WW2 happened
"Well, I'm not familiar with X."
Okay well I'll tell you what happened...........(tells them)
"Look, I don't know about that situation, I haven't read about it" like bro let's just say it's true for a moment😂😂😂😂 it's obviously a cop out
Like Ron Desantis fence sitting on January 6th. When asked his thoughts on it he said “I wasn’t there, I wasn’t even near Washington” like that means he didn’t see what happened or can’t have an opinion on it? Such a blatant copout answer and people really should push him on it. Can you imagine if you asked a politician to condemn 9/11 in 2003 and their response was “I wasn’t even in New York then so I don’t really know.”
next to that for me is the "I don't understand this, it must not make any sense" argument.
@@legrandexsuch a classic. Although, I honestly wish I encountered it more and significantly less of the related Dunning-Kruger style, “my unfathomable ignorance means my incredibly awful take should be taken seriously.”
it's fascinating to me that these people call in and think they're going to do something and then expose themselves as never having a coherent thought
Sadly, they're right. When you spew propaganda, it's not for the enemy. It's to reinforce indoctrination. Idk I could be an idiot though.
Sam is goddamn sharp. No wonder Tim is terrified of him.
At this point Elon Musk is trying to solve problems that don’t exist. In fact he’s creating more problems.
The only problem Elon Musk is trying to solve is: Why do people stop liking me and think I am a huge a***le.
"at this point"????‽???
He IS the problem 😂
No, Elon is lying about these problems existing as a cover for his bigotry and massive ego
@@paulwei6596😂😂😂💯
It always amazes me how someone like Elon can make a single statement half a year ago, act completely opposite of that, and people still believe the original statement. How do these people even form opinions in the first place?
They pick a single source randomly and then repeat everything they misinterpret from that source.
I'm amazed these people even know how to tie their own shoes
Cult of personality is a helluva drug.
Remind you of trump ?
Elon Musk is all for free speech only unless you don’t criticise him ,he’s as thin skinned as Trump
I love the “progressive since I was 3 years old” line. The irony is that all 3 year olds are progressive, they will play with anyone regardless of colour, nationality, religious background etc.
True!
I interpreted it as "I haven't evolved my opinions since I was a toddler". Not a brag, guy.
Same thing that caught me. It’s the “lucky” position. Its more valuable IMO to work your way to progressive positions because it requires constant introspection and logical evaluation.
Perhaps 3 yr. olds are SO PURE, they are the perfect people to decide what progressive actually means.
@@liesalllies well hes arguing like a toddler so.....
I’ve noticed that whenever someone says “Let me preference this by saying I’m a progressive”, we’re probably about to be in for a wild ride…
The double think from that guy was amazing.
I don’t get the Elon fanboys. Like I like Tom Hanks but I’m not willing to justify EVERYTHING he does. Like they are obsessed with a guy they don’t know. It’s almost cult like. Why are so many people willing to join every potential cult they see?
There's a very large crossover between Elon fanboys and Trump supporters. So it makes sense that it feels cult-like.
They hit the notes religion hits, banking on wilful ignorance and echo chambers.
In Tom's defense, he has been ranked Most Trustworthy American before, so 👀
He's saving humanity, bro. If we don't have free speech on Twitter then humans are going to starve to death. If we don't space then how gonna eat?
Immaturity and lack of education. Previous generations understood that there are no "heroes" and people left uncheck will abuse their power 9 out of 10 times. At work I have seen it, in society I have seen it. I have seen the change in my life time. I always suspected that as the WW II generation died, society would repeat the same mistakes.
It’s honestly impressive and sad just how much propaganda have affected these peoples mind. I can’t believe there’s people out there that really defend billionaires like they are kings. Bootlickers
And also identify as a "progressive". It's hilarious/delusional.
They are caught up in the fantasy. It's no different than a LARPer.
@@diallo1347what exactly does progressive mean? I see the American left use this term all the time
@@JG-es5djIt's generally a catch-all term for left-leaning policies. Anything that bolsters the social safety net or supports public institutions. Universal Healthcare and Social Security are both good examples.
That's just some very effective propaganda.
This guy let us know right at the outset that he hasn't changed his politics since he was three years old. This totally sounded like an argument with a three year old
Twas definitely composed of hot takes and one dimensional understandings of the Constitution. The caller was a total idiot and couldn't even bring himself to actually answer Sam's questions!

This guy has drank the whole damn pitcher of Elon's Kool-Aid!!! 🤣🤣🤣
When I was a teenager I had the same opinion of Elon musk then I started looking into him😂
looking into him? like how?
thru his mouth, his eyes, or thru his anus?
If you actually look into Elon Musk, you'll find a dark void, with a tiny child at it's centre crying at the injustice of his pants being wet after he pissed them.
“I’m progressive” LOL
Yeah there is no such thing as a Pro-Elon Musk Progressive as the two are mutually exclusive from each other because Elon Musk believes in all of the crazy QAnon conspiracy theories. So if a person supports Elon Musk than that person automatically also supports QAnon there for that person can never be a Progressive. A Pro-QAnon Progressive is like being a pro-bacon Muslim!
TBF, i thought i was a progressive for the longest time, when in reality, i was a leftist but didn't know it.
I knew he was full of it when he said that
It’s just a tactic. It’s another distraction to add to the pile of contradictions he was spewing
I'll say it again. The word progressive means as much to the left as the word libertarian means to the right. Equally nebulous.
If someone informs you of something you didn't previously know that alters your argument, you shouldn't be allowed to argue your ignorance of it as an exception to your claims.
Right?? Dude was like, "I didn't know about the cis anything." Okay, well you do now. How does that factor into your argument???
Subtext picked up on by trying to argue ignorance as a defence to switch to another talking point: *He didn’t trust Sam, since Sam was the source of the new information.*
I don’t know about you but I don’t listen to a show for a long time that I don’t trust. Just a hunch here but the “progressive since 3” was probably bullshit too.

Honestly props to Sam for going so long with someone who's obviously having difficulty juggling two thoughts.
Yeah he's running circles around the caller, but I think he stays on out of a true desire to help properly inform him.
@@Pooshmaster47and it helps his ratings
@@Pooshmaster47 So I just got into Sam and from a collection of I'd say idk 3 to 5 videos here it certainly looks that way. There is a counter argument here. I've actually learned so much in the past few hours that I think at some point you have to level the burden of learning on the caller, or in my case, the viewer.
It feels very heated right. I think you're right in maybe what I think you're getting at, that he could maybe tone it down a bit and be more careful of either the callers sensitivity or their information on the topic at hand. I think that would be a great thing for even someone like me who doesn't understand broader politics. (IE anything beyond common news outlets in america or here on youtube where they REALLY hammer that drama and entertainment value much harder than Sam.) At the same time, for someone who really values learning more about it uh... I think so far I can work with that. It's a double edged sword like that. If he let the caller rant about what seems to be affirming their own beliefs rather than listening to his counterpoints (I can admit this is somewhat presumptuous but to me this is affirmed by these trailing thoughts you can hear as he speaks over them) I genuinely do believe I'd learn a lot less.
Also, I'm not sure it's even great for the caller. Sam really does seem to get straight to the point. Again, so far.
I'm still thinking about all this but to me the recent video on Ukraine really illustrates the point I'm trying to make here. I mean I was googling shit left and right man. And I just hope these callers are doing the same, even if they felt hurt or even straight up don't want to take him at face value.
Elon *is* trying to solve problems, but he's not qualified to decide what's a problem. He's trying to make the world more comfortable for him, personally.
It is more that he is a guy that thinks in product presentations and so every solution needs to be a buzzword monster to even be considered.
Just using or implementing something that already exists doesn't get investors and neoliberal media hyped up.
It is basically rich people and upper management syndrome. You whole world is basically buzzwords and fancy presentations.
He was FORCED to buy Twitter. Let's not forget that! He said a lot of stupid things, tried to manipulate the market, and they took his offer seriously. He tried to back out and got himself caught up!

The timing of this is *chef’s kiss*
The universe takes, it takes a lot, but sometimes it also gives
Boy, I sure am glad I didn't inherit the argue-with-knuckleheads gene.
Wow. There’s a lot of culty behavior in this country.
It's honestly scary.
This caller is soo clueless it's absolutely embarrassing
Elon Musk is trying to solve problems?
It's a bit like an arsonist saying they're solving the "problem" of firefighters not having enough to do. Lol
Problem no. 1: I'm not getting enough attention.
He's only talented at convincing people he's talented.
Elon only cares about greed for the sake of greed - nothing more unfortunately.
Sam: *Says anything*
Caller: "I'm sorry?"
Damn, Seder cornered this guy within two questions.
I hope there's an alternate reality where Elon put that 44 billion toward ending world hunger and homelessness and was wildly successful.
Unfortunately given what we've seen of his mentality and skill set he'd probably fuck that up too
This guy has no idea wtf he's even arguing/mad about 😂
facts
Ah. An Elon stan with a voicechanger. Classic.
Yeah it really does sound like a voice changer - something sounds off...
Another impossible discussion would be "Elon Musk does some actual work for his various companies while spending loads of time on his shenanigans on Twitter".
I was permanently banned from Twitter for being sarcastic to Tomi Lahren.😅
When somebody suspiciously proclaims they’re left leaning or whatever before taking a questionable position, ask then what policies do they disagree with on the right. If they are unclear that’s your queue to call them out, then proceed.
Cue* but also yes
Tim always responds to this by citing medicare for all, but when you then press him on how it would be paid for he immediately recoils and backtracks. These people are jokes.
Good thing I don't support Democrats and their soft on crime policies
He tried backing out of buying it. Kind of an important part. I hope this guy has stock in one of Elon's companies.
Tesla is still going well and it is looking still ok, so having stock would not be as bad of a decision that trying to defend Musk on air.
@@Ismalith It would make his D riding more logical thats for sure.
@@bloo9699
Well I don't have any Tesla stock myself right now, because I see the lack of further development as well as recent shortcomings with the new batteries and the complete unwillingness to learn how long development takes them.
But even when I had stock, I still won't say that Musk is not a moron or praise him.
"Bill gates bad but elon musk god"
He sounds like he's talking into a pillow. Couldnt take it anymore.
"It's a private company " LMFAO
"hE'S tRYiNg to SolVE ProBlEmes" 🤡🤣
the caller is an AI, there is no other way
AI's can at least fake being intelligent.
Artificial? Yes
Intelligence? No
I'm sorry. The brain worms are widespread.
There are multiple Chinese nationals who are also billionaires, so the caller is incorrect.
It’s so wild that in America this caller can legit think he’s a progressive.
If this man licked psychedelic frogs as much as he licks boots, he'd be much wiser.
Excellent timing 😂. All those blue ticks paying for Twitter, logging in to see their limit is reached just as they manage to find a remaining leftie to ratio 😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂💯
Ahh, yes. Blackmailing people with very public information that anyone could find if they felt like looking for it. Of course.
😂 Poor Sam was so polite and responded with such good faith to that man's Dusty logic! His hemming and hawing while running around in circles trying to dodge the facts was so annoying. Just tiring
Caller came in HOT and sam took him from Luke warm to a freezer brick of ice in under 20 minutes. What sounded like it was gonna be a thought-provoking conversation amongst peers with similar views turned into Bloodbath - touché Samuel
Galaxy brain caller here. Top notch of him to call in to defenestrate himself.
3:48 I love the logic here, it's so ridiculous that it's legitimately hilarious to me. Dude basically said, "Yeah he was doing journalism, but this kid was the only one doing this particular journalism so it's okay to censor him and doesn't even count as censorship."
lol Did someone yell "No" in the background when the caller said "He's trying to solve problems (00.35)?
Yeah it's somone in the Majority Report studio sounds like lol. We all were saying it, or worse like me...
