@@1MarkKeller How do you come to that conclusion? Musks very point, as was Inigo Montoyas, is that no money, or power, or anything, will suffice to shut him up, deter him from his mission, his belief. It was an appropriate analogy.

Magneto wasn’t just a Jewish survivor of the Holocaust. He wasn’t just a “bad” guy either despite being the main antagonist. He was analogous to Malcom X, while the protagonist (Professor X) was the placeholder for MLK Jr… And the mutant groups they led represented the minority population that was discriminated against. It was essentially Marvel comics taking on the social/race issues of the 1960s-70s
Exactly what the X-men stood in for . One was the more peaceful way ( professor x ) and the other was the more violent way ( magneto) that would fight back if attacked . But overall magneto just wanted to be left alone and for mutants to live not in fear

It’s funny when you see the daily schedules of ultra wealthy people in various puff pieces. They wake up at 3am and spend 6 hours doing weird crap. Then they get to work and read the news/post on social media all day. The idea that these guys are somehow intellectual titans who carry the weight of the world on their shoulders is laughable. Two hours on any social media site and you can see for yourself how braindead the so-called “cognitive elite” actually are
No it wouldn’t, halfway house complexes are being demolished because of all the problems associated with that and crime. If being homeless gets you a regular suburban house for free, suddenly everyone is selling up and homeless, now u have a 2008 crash x10.
Can you give an example of this. I'm pretty sure there are lots of examples where crime is reduced when basic human needs are provided to the homeless. This includes mental health care.
@caronadams4486 well you'd need to prove it. Since Gavin Newsome spent 14 billion dollars in the last 3 years on homelessness. The evidence is not in your favor
I know in California alone there are more than 3x the number of unoccupied housing than there are homeless people, at least a few years ago when that statistic was conservative and that number has absolutely increased post-pandemic. Most are owned by out of town investors who keep them empty and sell high. It's the gap that is the problem.
For some kind of reason, i believe he uses Tucker's ball frying machine daily on the highest setting (i am not sure it has settings). And when does a CEO of 3 companies have so much time to watch all these movies and tweet stupid senseless stuff?
to be clear Magneto being evil is a very surface level reading of him he's one of the few actually sympathetic villains. not that i think musk understands that.
Magneto wants to create a world without discrimination of mutants. He's not really evil it's just the way he believes he has to go about it thats bad and is the entirety of his conflict with the x-men who have the same goal but want to do it peacefully. I don't really consider him evil like dr doom or red skull
It didn’t take long for the cops to corroborate the pictures on the website by, you know, looking at the guy’s corpse and seeing the tattoos (and probably looking at his computer and phone and stuff).
One other thing to add, coming from a latin country, there are darker skinned people in my country that even we ourselves wouldn't even consider white, that actually see themselves as white. There is gigantic identity dissonance with latins, that I believe comes from how mixed we usually are throughout our histories. There are a lot of dark skinned neo nazis in my country, we make fun of them because of how stupid they are.
Did he just have that serious long pause for a simple question and then responded with "I don't care!" He is clearly a ego maniac with that response. Its scary.
To become a billionaire, you'd have to be a ruthless, narcisisisic, ego maniac. Think of all the people you'd have to step on and over accumulating all that wealth.
lol, the long pause! For a moment there I thought Elon was going to burst into tears. But he pulled out of it with a really terrible analogy! What a sad little boy he is.

For the record, the character Magneto's birth name is Max Eisenhardt. He was born in Germany in the late 1920's. He is Jewish. He is a Holocaust survivor, having been sent to the Warsaw Ghetto and later Auschwitz. Musk knows these things; he's not just throwing out the comparison of George Soros to a comic book character he happens to see as evil, he's making the comparison because both the fictional character and the real-life person are both Jewish. And I'll take it a step further than that. Magneto was never explicitly written to be "evil." He was actually based on Menachem Begin, with David Ben-Gurion serving as the inspiration for Charles Xavier. In fact, echoing Begin's transition from militant to political leader, Magneto transitioned from a villain to a hero later in life. Magneto's initial violence was never even painted as having been unjustified. An angry mob burned down his house and prevented him from rescuing his daughter, all because he's a mutant. He was convinced at that point that the only way to achieve equal rights for mutants was to, quite literally, fight fire with fire. That has also led to the character being compared to Malcolm X (and Xavier being compared to Dr. King). All three pairs had righteous motivations, even the more violent side's actions were (debatably) wrong. So for Musk to be comparing George Soros to Magneto? It's pretty obvious to anyone who's actually a FAN of Marvel comics that Musk is just making the connection only because they're Jewish. He literally just painted himself as one of the TRUE villains of the X-Men franchise: the bigoted humans who hated and attacked the mutants simply because of who they are.
I just found your videos a few months ago. I keep coming back because it is so refreshing to hear intellectual arguments. I even think he can be proud of that interview.
As always, it's "impressive" how this guy who claims to work 80 hour weeks somehow also spends so much time on social media. As someone with a real job I can tell you I do not have time for that.
Musk can’t explain anything he says or does. He’s got tunnel vision and just reacts to things. And yeah, that sounded like a disappointed dad talking to a rebellious kid. That should have been a private conversation, not an interview.

My favorite part of this interview is the corporate media guy trying to gently walk Musk through the concept of NOT SCARING OFF YOUR ADVERTISERS BY SAYING DUMB CRAZY SHIT.
Kinda sounded like a lot of Trump's FOX interviews.
And it's just not working. 🤣 "Have you considered only being a racist nutter in private?"

Sam: The guy has swastikas tattooed all over his body.
Elon: Magically. He _magically_ has swastikas tattooed all over his body, Sam. If that doesn't scream "psyop," then I don't know what does. 🤔
Its the people who dont have swastikas tatooed on themselves who are probably the Nazis! DUH!

The right doesn't do subtext, no matter how obvious it is.
Exactly what the X-men stood in for . One was the more peaceful way ( professor x ) and the other was the more violent way ( magneto) that would fight back if attacked . But overall magneto just wanted to be left alone and for mutants to live not in fear
Ironically superhero comics with rare exceptions portray the problems of the world as solvable through physical violence
I believe Elon Muskrat has had some type of AI gadget installed into his frontal lobe. He just goes blank at times. He acts like an old ACER desktop after it’s got eat up with malware. Maybe he needs PC Matic to give him a good check up.

Two hours on any social media site and you can see for yourself how braindead the so-called “cognitive elite” actually are
Maybe, but then it might expose that he doesn't know too much about the car and rocket making businesses he's a part of.

$44 billon couldve singlehandedly ended homelessness and we are here now
No it wouldn’t, halfway house complexes are being demolished because of all the problems associated with that and crime.
@caronadams4486 their source is : trust me bro
For some kind of reason, i believe he uses Tucker's ball frying machine daily on the highest setting (i am not sure it has settings). And when does a CEO of 3 companies have so much time to watch all these movies and tweet stupid senseless stuff?
The higher up in a company, the less you really do on a day to day.
to be clear Magneto being evil is a very surface level reading of him he's one of the few actually sympathetic villains. not that i think musk understands that.
He doesn't even understand the fantasy world he lives in.
Magneto wants to create a world without discrimination of mutants. He's not really evil it's just the way he believes he has to go about it thats bad and is the entirety of his conflict with the x-men who have the same goal but want to do it peacefully. I don't really consider him evil like dr doom or red skull
Magneto = Malcolm X
Charles Xavier = Martin Luther King
Professor X is the real villain. He violated reed Richard’s and said to him “I want you to remember this, my violation of you”
Magneto is also Jewish, I guess that was important to the comparison.
Elon Musk after a long pause
"I'm reminded of.." proceeds to wipe out completely on his reference...
Like dude, that's not how the line goes.
The schmuck doesn't even get the princess bride quote right. He stares off into the distance for half a minute and that's the best he's got.
It didn’t take long for the cops to corroborate the pictures on the website by, you know, looking at the guy’s corpse and seeing the tattoos (and probably looking at his computer and phone and stuff).
The reason he talks to him like he's 10 is because billionaires basically are emotional children.
Think of all the people you'd have to step on and over accumulating all that wealth.
for a guy being sued by shareholders his attitude wont help him any,
I don't get how that works. Wouldn't anything they get from suing come out of their shareholder profits?
He’s trying but failing to be cryptic and mysterious. It’s embarrassing.
I love watching Elon talking to actual adults.
lol, the long pause! For a moment there I thought Elon was going to burst into tears. But he pulled out of it with a really terrible analogy! What a sad little boy he is.
Maybe the shooter got those tattoos because he wanted to be reminded every time he looks in the mirror about the horrible tragedy of WW2 😉 Harlan Crowe style.

Knowledge is power, money is a tool, authority is destructive. He always seems to be on the verge of admitting the third part but backing out just to earn 5 more minutes to play before bedtime.
I love that Sam is always vaguely aware that pop culture exists, but only enough to get the references hilariously wrong. Although Magento might be a cool villain
I think Joe Rogan talked him into micro dosing all the time. This guy is high. Going off his rocker.

I don’t think that reporter was ás soft as most are saying. (though i certainly see the point: it was def not a hardtalk interview, that’s a different format) In my view he was superficially complaisant, admittedly reserved and subtle, maybe even glib, but it was a clever and brutal reveal of Musk’s dumb way of thinking. I even think he can be proud of that interview.

Musk can’t explain anything he says or does. He’s got tunnel vision and just reacts to things. And yeah, that sounded like a disappointed dad talking to a rebellious kid. That should have been a private conversation, not an interview.
Musks "I dont care" sounded better in his head and the Avengers theme played in his head when he said it
