Tenoch Huerta a a famous Mexican actor will be playing Namor, his character will be king of Atlantis his costume will be the Aztec jaguar god, it’s a huge tribute to the native Mexican community
He was awesome in narcos: Mexico
Water Panthers/Jaguars are some of the coolest not discussed fantasy creatures. I’m so ready.
FYI, the actor who plays Namor is a Mexican actor called Tenoch Huerta! He is descent of Nahua and P’urepecha. Just like me and my relatives

Not only were the visuals and song choices amazing...I love the fact that Chadwick's presence was felt throughout the teaser. He will always and forever be our Black Panther. WAKANDA FOREVER
This trailer resonates (to me at least) not only for the struggles of humanity but the way we cope with loss, acceptance. I cried like a baby watching this. The way Disney put this trailer together with the upmost respect to Chadwick Boseman. I realized watching this trailer that we all haven’t fully moved on with Chadwick’s passing. I foresee this to be the one if not one of the most successful movies of all time
I like the Pre-Columbian Americas look for Atlantis. I think Black Panther put in a lot of pride and appreciation for the pan-African culture and visual expression. Perhaps we'll see some love for the Mexicas / Yucatan cultures in Black Panther 2. Representation matters. Not everything has to be Anglo-centric to make money. Listen up Hollywood.
Didn't they already state that the design of Atlantis draws influence from mesoamerican cultures?
"representation matters" gets used too much incorrectly. Namor was never shown as white, so they used it as an opportunity to smartly make him something that resembles him. This is smart writing. We need smart writing like this and not just inserting other races which we have been seeing

@@Ant-bm1qk As Tenoch said during Comic-Con, inclusion is very important. This is why (i believe) marvel has chosen to say Namor draws from Mesoamerican cultures as opposed to focusing on just one indigenous culture. This way Namor represents all of Latin America the same way black panther encompasses all of Africa.

Namor being played by the talented Mexican actor of Aztec decent Tenoc Huerta Mejia who you can see in Narcos season 3 if im not mistaken. So happy to see people of my culture acting in this movie. Maria Mercedes who plays Namors mother is from Guatemala where my family is from. Cant wait to watch this
I did not expect to cry this much from this trailer but here I am bawling my eyes out. I’m so glad I’m not alone in feeling like this. I still think it was a massive mistake to not recast T’Challa, but absolutely I love how beautifully they are handling Chadwick Boseman’s passing. Both Chadwick and T’Challa were my heroes. REST IN POWER MY KING!
Also we are getting both Iron Heart AND Namor The Submariner! As someone who is half Latino myself I can’t tell you how happy I am that we are getting a top tier superhero representing us!

If you notice earlier in the trailer there is some kind of explosion in Namor's home... I think someone provoked Atlantis and blamed Wakanda... I think that's a good way to do it because if the conflict is a misunderstanding they can put it aside in a neater way afterwards and turn toward the real villain who instigated it who I would assume would be Dr. Doom
When Wakanda Forever comes out, we should either wear white attire or wear white floral corsages and boutonnieres in solidarity and celebration of the life and legacy of Chadwick Boseman.

This movie is going to be a defining film for the next phase of the MCU... Marvel has done very well after Endgame, and this should be a culmination of their efforts...I got chills when I watched this over the wknd, and tears in my eyes, which I wasn't expecting, but I think the fact that they used Bob Marley's classic tune for the music made it more emotional for everyone
I don't think Marvel waited to drop this movie... they had to rewrite the whole movie since RIP Chadwick Boseman! :'c

We see that this namor in this Atlantis is gonna be totally different from the Atlantis in the DC universe where Aquaman is more technologically advanced I predict that the Atlantis here in the Marvel universe will be technologically advanced However their culture will be based more in Aztec and or Mayan or Inca heritage.

Some people were upset that atlantis in the mcu will be mesoamerican influenced and not greek like in dc. It makes more sense geographically for atlantis to be of mesoamerican culture anyways.

This is setting up the Midnight Angels with Aneka being introduced in this film. They were the wetworks team of the Dora Milaje. In the comics, the Midnight Angels were sent by T'Challa to help Deadpool kill Dr. Doom. We see both Okoye wearing the blue Midnight Angels armor when she's facing off with the Dora and Aneka wearing it too. I wonder if they're replacing Aneka and Ayo's relationship with Aneka and Okoye. I'm hoping Doom makes an appearance in this as the one in charge of sending that military squad to that ship to extract vibranium from the ocean causing the war between Wakanda and Atlantis. It also looks like Shuri is taking on that mentor role for Riri Williams (Ironheart) since Tony is dead.

the main thing I take out of this trailer on top of everything is 100% the cinematography, although Black Panther does have many memorable shots, it could've definitely taken more advantage of this new world Wakanda and its landscape to be a beautiful film start to finish, which I think this movie will accomplish
The inclusion of actors/actresses of Mayan and Aztec decent has made me even more invested in this movie than I was already. As a first gen American with family from Guatemala seeing Namors mother being played by an indigenous Guatemalan actress Maria Mercedes, Namor played by a Mexican native in Tenoc Huerta as well as Mabel Cadena and Josue MayChi. Beautiful to see latino america get a chance to shine here

I wanted the new Black Panther to be Okoye or M'Baku. I mean we'll see lol I'm not predicting anything. I'm pretty sure MBJ is also coming back, although we'll see at what point he shows up in the film. Fantastic teaser, super emotional (but I feel like Ryan's films usually have emotional trailers). Probably the most excited I've been since Endgame even though I've enjoyed the films since.

3:57 it’s kind of confusing since they actually shot 2 scenarios where Shuri is actually black panther or M’Baku since Letita who is shuri’s actress was anti vax and posted about it which may have caused problems during production plus she was injured for a while when she did a stunt so who knows
M'Baku being the Black Panther would be a direct contradiction to his belief system and would break lore so much - so I fucking hope not.
