True story these are two single women what about the wife I had a situation like this i was confronted by this lady friend girl she said my friend do not want your husband she just want you to know she can get him anytime she wants we were at work where some other employees could hear what was said I said I don,t know who you are and don,t pick ok I said you go back and tell your friend when he came home in snow deep weather he was " my husband" and not her man one week later he came home looked at me and I did his brains out this hood girl do not play I was raised up where men had a faithful wife, and the other woman side this woman had no choice but to sing the song by soul children " I,ll be the other woman" because this woman his wife did,nt care👏👏👏👍👍👍👍💯💯💯for real
She really does, her woman to woman album has some Aretha covets (Ain't No Way, Respect & Rock Steady) & they all sound in pocket (yet not identical) to Aretha
Shirley revered the Queen, as did all singers. Shirley emulated Aretha's style but sang beautifully in her own way, but they all trail in the Queens wake and as Melba Moore said, eat the crumbs that fall from the Queens table.
Sorry, but the Barbara Mason cut is a pretty poor imitation of the Shirley Brown cut. Woman to woman has a totally original slow jam musical arrangement, with a hook that grabs your attention. The spoken part does the perfect build-up for the singing part and Shirleys vocals are on point. From his woman to you, in comparison, just sounds like your bog standard, vanilla arrangement that's on about a thousand other nameless slow jams, with no hook in sight, way too short a build-up, and vocals that are just not as good.
Back in the day when I first heard Shirley, I thought she was a fool for this man. I thought she should have shown him the door!!
Barbara Mason
Shirley and Barbara arguing over a broke-down piece a Man, they better check out who Betty is. Check out Shirleys singing “ Who Is Betty”?
