Let me know what you guys think and what you would like to see next. Much love. Хобби
‘… I gonna put some material in, where I think the eyes are gonna be …’
I immediately see 2 eyes :)
You make it seem so easy. I really love your work. Thanks for the post!
As a clay sculptor, I learned a similar approach, belatedly, work fast and loose, and in my case, turn the piece at least every 4 minutes. Don't fall in love with any aspect early. Refine the parts you find, and want, to be important. And I'm talking, mainly, about works on subjects other than portraits. A delightful, inspiring look at 2 dimensional art form. I now want to buy paper and charcoal.! Thank you!
Wow!
I really enjoyed your commentary... For me, you were effortlessly imparting a more sophisticated ideological view of drawing.
this is hypnotic watching, its stunning to see how this unfolds. Absolutely love it
I love your work, it's fascinating. Thx 4 the procedure.
Awesome! More of these dude.
Preferably where you show and explain how you translate the Photo reference to your paper in order to keep the likeness of the person.
Always fun watching your vids:)
Just discovered your channel today I’m so excited because charcoal is my favourite medium thank you so much for sharing I’m going to watch all your videos and begin drawing again I’ve stopped drawing for the last 18 months because I became an accident and emergency gas on now it’s time to get my life back and this will be a fabulous way to begin thank you so much
Love your work👍 amazing how those two strokes for the shades in the ear made it more readable 👌
I really appreciate your way of teaching and the words you use!!! Your good at describing the flavor of your Artl! ZEN!
There is so much great advice in this video. Thank you!
Beautiful,nice sharing friend😃✌️...
Your art is wonderful!
Your work is so inspiring man !
Nice job. Exactly what I tell my students. I even make my own charcoal :)
How do you make your own charcoal
He burns wood
@@yournewfreind6823 www.tonyswaby.com/Making-charcoal.html
@@---oq2li using some kind of glue to set it together ?
@@susanarodriguez7067 nope, you are talking about compressed bars of charcoal, he is just making charcoal burning wood and pushing away oxigen (sorry for my english, im spanish, dont care)
This is art, feeling the drawing. Most people nowadays just copy images like a printer, i used to do it but just figured that's not what art is.
love your instruction and talent!
I bought charcoals months ago, watched other tutorials but just wasn't gettibg the concept. Found your "Beauty from Chaos" video and did the first picture I am actually happy with. Wasn't as good as yours of course, but I'll keep at it. It was the chaos part, I have all of this chaos swirling inside me. Before, I was over thinking my strokes. So I just let that chaos fliow out through my hand. Thank you so much!! Have you watched videos of people doing gun piwder art?? It looks cool too.
Encore une super explication! Thanks a lot.
Your approach seems sculptural in that you use charcoal to block in broad planes, then remove it like you carve out form. It is very beautiful and the gestural marks create a liveliness and dynamism.
I am a huge fan of your art! You're so good at it, absolutely astonishing! May the force be with you! Thank you, appreciate a lot your videos!
Wow….hypnotised art. Keep sharing man !!Cheers
Love watching you draw! So inspiring - your style is very inviting to any viewer. Thank you.
Really good stuff!
Woah, I just want to go draw now! thanks for the video you are amazing snd very talented.
Nice job. We can use the remnants of a bonfire if purchasing isn’t an option. The pressed blocks do adhere better than willow I find. And are generally darker.
this video was amazing.i learned a lot.thank you so much

How would you handle making the eye hi light? With a small eraser or using a white chalk?
A lápis ✏ também tem vantagem ao fazer um retrato
It is best merci
I am a fan! Pls put the ref photo in the corner of your videos. Thank you
what do you use for lightening - rubber and what?
thanks
Gracias por la clase..... Por favor SUBTITULOS EN ESPAÑOL......
Can you do it like Scott Burdock wet and dry way
Do you use a fixative.. if yes could you please share the details
It seems that my charcoal just doesn’t stick to the paper, and when i blend it it just goes on my finger. Am I doing something wrong, maybe there’s something wrong with my charcoal? I tried different types of paper.
What type of paper do you use?
Literally could have stopped at 3:12 and it would have already been a remarkably portrait.
Where to find reference for charcoal drawing
Where we can buy this compressd charcoal can you provide any online link
Haha this is 🔥. But I kinda liked it better when I could blame the tools for my dumpster fire art 🤷🏻♀️
🙏👏👏👏👏👏👏……..
Hi i just have a few cheap charcoal pencils😅
Why doesn't a kneaded eraser lift the charcoal off the paper for me? 😢
What kind of paper r u using??
Okay who's from his server? 🙋
Compressed charcoal + kneaded eraser + pure natural talent = the work of art you just produced. Your an incredible artist, but your no teacher. Do yourself a favour, and concentrate on being an artist and forget tutorials.
im assuming you need a very very good understanding of anatomy to draw like this lol
Shame there is no reference
