Rome wasn't built in a day mate small steps or you fall flat on yer face, he won us our first trophy in over 40 yrs & we have been in Europe for 3 seasons running, why wasn't he backed with more cash as that's what's needed to compete with the big boys, the team has gone as far as it can go with the current squad, you can't make a ford focus compete with a Ferrari no matter who you have driving the car 🇬🇧⚒

@@TheWESTSIDE1967 moyes has decimated the squad, we’ve got such an old squad on high wages and it’s tiny. He was offered loads of players in jan but decided Phillips was all we needed. I accept going to the next level takes time, but we could’ve kicked on this year after winning the conference league. His mentality is wrong, plays against a clubs history and not their current status. For example, he fears Man Utd and Chelsea when they’re no good anymore so we can compete with them. If he was braver I would have less issue with him. West Ham are a maverick kind of team people shouldn’t want to play but we’ve become all too predictable. I thank Moyes for the trophy and some good memories but it’s become far too stale, I can’t keep travelling up there every other week watching the crap on show. Btw the board are just as much to blame as Moyes for the lack of ambition.

Moyes was offered a contract and the contract probably said going forward you must do the following:
    ●Use youth players
●use the whole squad. At least 17 of them
●no more than 5 defenders on the pitch EVER
●buy a striker this time that actually suits the way you play
    ● stop letting players you dont like rot on the bench and losing value
●stop sitting back and defending against 95% of teams
    ● stop playing defenders up front to save the game
●stop giving the opposition so much respect
    ● and if you cant do any of these points at least use youth players
He read this contract and said il be. Damned if im doing that.
    Tim said ok.
    And showed him the door
    The end.

For a manager who boasts about his defensive teams, then to have conceded 70 goals this season with our goal keeper having at least 10 MOTM performances and still have Man City to play. He sold Fornals, Benrhama & Thilo in Jan and didn-t replace them, three players that were vital in Europe for us and are much better players than we have on the bench now!!
We were nearly relegated last season with Rice. Yes the Conference league whilst brilliant to win, we played one good team in that whole campaign and that was in the final, where they were far better than us, we did a smash & grab job on that night for sure!!.... We are also 17th in the form table since January, which would find most managers out of a job!!....

I will always think of his time at WHU as successful, and have fantastic memories of all 3 European campaigns. But, if Man City can get promoted from third tier football and 25 years later be European Champion, why can't West Ham hope to be top 6 contenders rather than a Premier League Mid table team. Think this is the best thing for the club long-term.
There's clearly tension between the sporting director and Moyes because Moyes is an 'old school's manager who wants control of everything, particularly transfers. If it's true that he turned down other January deals and decided that Phillips was all we needed then I think that's a perfect illustration of why he needed to go.
The signings made by the sporting director, Kudus, Alvarez, Emerson, Paqueta, are the best players in the team right now. By disregarding other 'club targets' and giving the manager complete control you become beholden to their judgement, when it works it's great, but when it falls apart or they leave then there will always be massive reprocussions.
Massively grateful to him for giving me my best memory as a West Ham fan, but I think it's right that we part ways now. The football has always been workmanlike under him (to put it nicely), but we're bringing in players that can play a more attractive style and still do so effectively. If that's the club's aim then Moyes has shown that he's incompatible with it.
Genuinely hope he can go to another club where he gets the control he needs because he could still do a great job for another PL side, and he seems like a top guy!

Tell me why david moyes has a fantastic cv? One trophy in 25 years of management, 70 goals conceded in one season so far for a defensive manager relegation battle last year , low block even at home against any team top or bottom of table , sacked at Manchester United for being the chosen one , in all but a couple seasons at Everton he was in a relegation battle or at least bottom half. Please tell me what other fans in premier league want him as their manager? All these pundits on sky sport or talk sport aint got a clue they see one trophy win and expect that to be enough for moyes to stay regardless of league form over the last 2 seasons.

Why do Sky pundits keep banging on about "what he has achieved" - his CV is utterly non-descript he has one ONE trophy in more than thirty years and that was the Inter-Toto Johnsons Paint trophy of Europe. In what world is that a good career Sky? He has frittered away many tens of millions of pounds in highly talented player value that the owners have lavished upon him. What West Ham should have done is kept hold of the 200 million pound squad and got a decent coach in not one who thinks the centre forward wears number 4 on his back!

We also had Declan Rice. Like losing 3 players when sold to rivals. Outsiders including sports presenters like this do not understand enough about West Ham to comment as they have. Second hand info is all they used in this video. Speak not of what you know not. What a load of waffle.
