I was about to say the same thing. I doubt the give a F
They literally said people have come back to return back the stolen items after being blasted and also after being identified on IG 🙄
This business owner is SMART... I agree with this 1000%

@@D.VA_00 Yes they have, however, their photos haven't been this big.
@@ch1ckmom217they have, the reason why no one has taken the time to make huge posters about it like that is because no one is gonna do anything it really doesn’t matter by the time they get away, you just need to have it known these people are no longer welcomed into the store regardless
This is gross behavior from the privileged store owner and they’re going to push someone off the edge.
@@CcC-ct9tb Pushing a thieve to the edge is doing society a great service. Finally, no longer bluring or protecting these aholes.
Accountability is what CA took away now its up to the people to treat these people like adults.
Amen! Well said!! Thank you

They don't😂

I don't think these 3 people work for a living. One poster said the shoplifter was found with a trunk filled with stolen goods. Another is a serial offender, and the third is a 70-year-old who volunteers at AA.

Back in the old days, news announcers at radio stations in small towns would actually say the names of the accused shoplifters on their broadcasts. Shame is a very powerful deterrent.
Today that'd probably be considered harrassment or "hate" or some stupid sh.. .
@@thetaekwondoe3887 This would largely depend upon the jurisdiction in which the crime occurred, and how the courts would interpret such a statute involving harassment and hate crimes.
In many coastal woke progressive areas, shoplifting is rampant because almost no one is going to jail for shoplifting, nor are they forced to pay restitution if they end up in the criminal justice system.
Michelle and Kenneth Mack should be names you know
Unfortunately it's nearly impossible to shame someone who's completely shameless.
@@MYNAMECHEF_FilthyFrank Then they just repeatedly should see the inside of a jail cell, and while they're there for a few weeks they should be put on a *strict* diet of nutraloaf.

Excellent! Keep up your refusal to accept criminal behavior as the new ‘Customer Is Always Right.’
Years ago there was a business in my area that posted the names and phone numbers of people who wrote bad checks. If you came back and made it right they would take your name down. If you didn't your name was left on the reader board and twice a year he published the name and addresses of the people who wrote bad checks to the business. One guy tried to sue and the judge said that telling the truth doesn't count as defamation. The plan worked quite well. The people who wrote the checks usually came in to settle the issue within a couple of days from the time their name was posted. Several people throughout the community complained that they lost their job or were passed over for better employment because of the reader board. His comment was "If you don't want your name to be shamed publicly don't write me a bad check."
Years ago, before the 2020 Summer of Love, cops were allowed to do their jobs in California.
A few businesses did that where I live also. I live near a state line and I believe it was illegal in one state to do this.
"Telling the truth doesn't count as defamation". Too many in the public eye tend to forget that. (Note to political campaign outfits: passing falsehood via omission is another story.)
oh I would love to sue that store!
@@KingPossum it clearly not from usa or canada. In Other part of the world, people can buy new phone number that was as cheap as lunch money.

Yeah, it’s because everybody will see it and if you’re for friends, see it coworker boss it your life can be ruined or guess
It's hilarious
They return the items to get a refund for the stolen items.
No, they're returning the items to get money. There is zero evidence to show that shaming them is working.
@@mediocreman2 You obviously didn't listen to the video because they even mentioned how people have come back to return stolen items AFTER they were shamed. We'll wait for you to do better.
We used to see people’s checks with INSUFFICIENT FUNDS stamped across them on display right where one checks out. That was back in 70s and 80s.
I’m an accountant. I’ve had the pleasure of seeing small businesses grow throughout my career. The fact that thieves do this to people makes me sick.
I'm was a retail clerk and I feel the same.
They soothe their conscience (what’s left of it) by saying the stores have insurance. This is how leftists always defend l00ters.
It’s the sense of entitlement that gets under my skin.
The fact cops can't do their jobs, and the DA's let these freak shows walk after the 2020 Summer of Love "fiery, but mostly peaceful protests" is the most disgusting part.
Not sure you can shame people who are shameless
Well, using the 'N' word is out. That just shames people of color!
They can face legal *consequences* for their criminal actions, though -- depending upon the jurisdiction in which the crime happened.
Then they won't mind either 🙂
It's either jail time or facing a lifetime of people looking at the picture and judge you without mercy.
Someone may recognize those shameless faces and hopefully report them.
If you tried that in New York, the store owner would be arrested. I love It.
The video on social media is beast. I think all businesses should share this system
Public shaming was the original form of punishment in the U.S. And in small towns everyone knows who is a criminal but these days in big cities criminals can be anonymous.
You mean public shaming was the original form of punishment, full stop.
@albertrodgers7477 You've reminded me about the word "pillory", supposedly a device used to put non-capital offenders on shameful display, and its latter-day use as a verb, connoting, "to shame"

That $950 misdemeanor rule is crazy. 100 "misdemeanor" thefts and your business is now six figures in the red on it's first day. And it will take 10,000 honest sales to break even depending on your upcharge. This is why some neighborhoods end up with nothing.

Toys 'R Us in Fresno CA did this to me as a 10 yr. back in 1985 when I tried to shoplift a GI Joe. I never set foot in there again until I was grown, lol. Never shoplifted again, either.
I shoplifted an eraser when I was a kid and my mum found it in my pocket when we got home. Watching my life flash before my eyes as my mother walked towards was reason enough to never shoplift again!
My brother stole candy from my Uncle's store and my dad found it. My parents made him dress in his church clothes and back to the store he went. The march of shame he called it. Could barely make his feet move and he was shaking like a leaf. He said he could see the grief all over our uncle's face and in his words. When he got home he felt dad's justice on his butt. But he never stole anything again.
When I was in middle school I stole a black magician Yu-Gi-Oh card from target. Didn't get caught but there was a little boy who saw me and just thinking I showed him how to steal made me feel bad enough to never shoplift again lol

@@morbidmanmusic You see the same behavior of the same groups in different geographical regions. Clearly there must be some biological underpinnings for this. I'm going to give 1 example of shared behavior that in isolation is widely accepted as true, but surely will be denied here. Jamaican and Caribbean restaurants as a whole are well known for their crappy service. But then when you go to Sub Saharan Africa you find out that customer service is basically non-existent there. And when you go to the DMV or a fastfood place in the US, and you've a high level of melanation going on you know the service is going to be terrible there too. Am I to pretend not to notice this? One's behavior has to do with where one grows up and what behavior one sees around, and both of those things are directly linked to how much money one's family has.
