Peter Irvine socialism is the most mediocre political and ideological system one can think of, clearly Karl Marx was high when he thought of it. In capitalism you can make a living of anything people are interested in buying and you can be your own boss. The reason why capitalism has killed so many people as you claim it has is because it has existed since the beginning of time while on the two centuries that socialism and Marxism Leninism has existed it has killed more people, which have died due to oppression of the state in this case the bourgeoisie and famine like what happened with Mao in China, than capitalism in 500 years. I am Cuban and know what a communist dictatorship is like and let me tell you, it is the most hypocritical and mediocre political system of all time and before you point out that communism and socialism aren’t the same just remember communism is based of socialism. Cuba used to be the second most advanced country of the world right behind the best which is the US before Fidel Castro took the power. I’m not saying capitalism is perfect because it has its flaws but it is indeed the most advanced and just political, economical, and ideological system ever. In socialism you can create the vaccine for AIDS and still earn the same as someone who sweeps the floor which is not fair because you should be awarded according to what you contribute to your community and country. It is unfortunate what happened to Ireland but remember that wasn’t only capitalism but also an absolute monarchy.Hence it is erroneous for you to say that socialism is the way to go when approximately 1.8 billion people in history can say otherwise.

So if you were going to live to 77 yrs as per the average in my country, you know have 62 years of life etc. That's why doctors say to quit, because you prolong your life by some years if you stop smoking soon enough.

My Mom's uncle was head of The Marshal's personal security detachement from 1976 to his death in 1980, and he said that he managed to obtain some classified documents while working for the president. More than thirty Serbian and Croatian nationalists and Stalinists tried to kill him during the 50's and 60's. My mom's uncle even showed me a picture he took from a folder of Tito at a meeting in 1952, wearing an eye patch over his left eye. It was supposedly taken by some polish spy. A few days prior an unidentified man shot two rounds at Tito, but since he was wearing a bulletproof vest, in fear of more soviet assassins, he survived the first shot to the chest, but the second shot hit the wall next to his head, and small pieces of the wall chipped off and scratched up his face and eye.

During the autopsy they found water in his lungs, so even after being dumped in the Neva River, drowning was the only way he died.
ajamhs I mean the assassination that killed him involved attempted poisoning, being shot, being bludgeoned because each one didn't work. It wasn't until they pushed him into the river that he died. Since it all happened one after another I consider that a single assassination attempt.
Rasputin survived only few attemps but was a badass tho. He was poisoned = Survived, Got shot and was thrown to lake = drowned. What a guy.
