Hi Motofam, I liked the way the podcast was shooted, very nicely done. Love to see Ambassador back on Indian roads, but I wanted the ambassador back in petrol or diesel variant because the EV ambassador does not meet what we want.. Just my opinion

Now PSA group has merged with Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, and they own the brand ambassador, and HM is trying to bring the ambassador brand trough PSA group, as you said bringing a brand back and being successful is not easy.

Automobile industry has changed a lot during this long travel. So Ambassador could not be capture any car loving hearts anymore. It's already retired! But your analysis about it was Excellent. R. The advantage of re introducing an old legendary brand is it doesn't need any advertisements. From childhood itself, most people grow up with that brand name. For Ambassador, If they are really planning to bring the ambassador, they should do it asap. Otherwise whoever eagerly waiting for the ambassador might get old (the 80s and 90s kid) And the future generations don't know what really legendary ambassadors are up to. BTW, it was such a professional podcast episode. Keep doing. :)
when compared to 2k kids, 70s, 80, 90s kids are special in terms of cinema, music, travel, life style, food etc. When we talk about travel Ambassador is the unavoidable choice for trip if its a small family. Earlier the gear lever was beside to the steering wheel later on it has been designed as modern cars have. Driver kitta 3 memebers ukkaralam. And back seat la sollave vendam. Appo la mineral water cans illa. Oru trip pona yethavathu oru thoppu or garden kitta stop panni kondu pona saapaadu saapduvom.

Ambassador is the 1950s to 60s car. HM sold that car in the market for more than 50 years without any facelift. This kind of this happens only in the indian market. They take the Indian market for granted. The same thing happened for Mitsubishi lancer.

We own the ambassador grand 2000 (1995cc) ISUZU engine diesel-powered bought on 2013 which has power steering and power window,AC, seatbelts for all seats, back seat hand rest, vanity mirrors EVERYTHIS ARE FACTORY MADE (NO ALTRATIONS OR ACCESSORIES) . We bought the car because my mom had a surgery on her backbone for her smooth and safe journey we bought the car, successfully the car is running with no much issues till today. Now we are looking for a update, but after the news we decided to wait for the new update of ambassador. If the vehicle satisfies us then no doubt in buying it 👍

If hybrid with solid quality design within 15 L will be good.
There are some ardent fans, who still love ambassador based on "nostalgic emotions". It is considered as VW Beetle in India.
The Kinetic energy disbursement concept during collision was never thought during ambassador days. Having said that i agree the new ambassador should pass the safety test pass in reference to current standards. The attitude towards driving and road setup has changed a lot in India.
The rumours spread in Indian media is organic and is of distracting. It's tough to sustain in current market with too many branded cars and luxury sedans from the west dominating. The lookout will be comparing cosmetic stuff on the new ambassador, rather the genuine ambassador breed.
Ambassador is yesterday's car. As you said, if the design elements are retained as old, then it will fail like Tata Nano. Indians has a mind set of picking new and costlier products, rather than picking old and cheap products. People will buy if it gets some unique comfort and features.

Beyond the hype for the name ambassador, as a car I would definitely buy one if it is really worth the price which is not the case with some of the current mass market cars. And the way the podcast has been shot is really good 👍(not that the regular way wasn’t good enough). Great going guys👏🏻. Expecting more variety from motowagon😃😍

Ambassador car has been the best suitted car for indian roads. It is second to none. Now I am happy that it is coming again. No dout it will outperform other cars and again become the top selling car in india. It needs no marketing just the name itself is enough.

Ambassador's elements that lend nostalgia are probably the unique shape of the saloon and the logo itself. If these can be modernized and stylized to the present aesthetic aspirations of people, and still have a connect to the olden Ambassadors, rest everything can be fit to today's needs. That black Ambassador concept felt like a cross between the old Ambassador and a Bentley or even a Maybach. I liked it. If it would be priced at 20 lacs, I would buy it; it would be similarly priced as Seltos and it will be an Ambassador! which is cool.
Asir, actually when you buy the ambassador you need to do all body tinkering work in the car because the water will come through the wheel side into the cabin. The car will be unfinished one when you buy. They put ISUZU engine in that it was amazing. I have driven that.

As an enthusiast for motors I am curious how new ambassadors may look and feel. If it's quoted for 20 to 25 lakh. I may be fascinated to watch videos or drive possibly but definitely won't buy.

A general qn. Why is there not even a single 7+1 seater with a spacious comfortable 3rd row and a dedicated door for the third row plus a good boot space for a family. Why is it always a squat position in the third row? Is there a reason why not much of space is being offered for third rows?

What I think about new ambassador is a citron car that has a over all layout design of of ambassador as citron cars are already has that curved shape in their cars, and for rear seat citron has three seat design already and features other things are already in citron c5(features and suspension)

Whatever car they introduce it should have the DNA of Ambassador like Road presence, durability, comfort and emotional connect. Price should be in range of 12 - 15 lakhs. MW team, I am big fan of Ambassador car and used two generations of Ambassadors ( petrol & diesel Isuzu engine :) version). IMO I will not buy if it doesn’t serve my day to day practicalities.
