For those curious (spoilers), in the novels it actually takes nearly 10 books later before they share their first kiss after Lawrence reveals he had a marriage contract made for them and proposes. Holo is simultaneously enraged, bewildered, smitten, overjoyed, etcetcetc. Even as she feigns resistance, Lawrence pushes her against a wall and the author ends the chapter, leaving it up to the reader's imagination. While it might seem frustrating that it takes so long, the series is not bereft of intimacy between them. In fact, they start handholding in half the time it took to kiss. Scandalous and lewd I know. But the reason being that they both have obviously fallen in love with the other by book 3 and are both able to figure out why the other doesn't want to commit. Holo doesn't want to watch Lawrence, the man she loves, grow old, die and leave her lonelier than she has ever been in her centuries of life. Lawrence, for his part, wants to honor her wish to part with him, but fails to realize that Holo would actually be happier if he decides he wants to stay with her. Holo only falls harder for him when he continually demonstrates just how far he's willing to go to be considerate of her desire. It isn't until Holo FINALLY admits she'd immediately find him again after they part ways and their contract is technically fulfilled that he drops the proposal and macks on her.

Lowrance gets his shop, and they have a daughter together Myuri who totally takes after holo and is a full wolf girl, she wants to go on her own adventures, if you have a vr headset, get the spice and wolf 2 game and you will get to meet them, and they will catch you up on what they have been up to
another question why wait all to the end to tell Holo he loves her when he could of been tell her in the anime she gives Lawrence so many chances Holo was even waiting for Lawrence to kiss her in the anime
Because Lawrence is an idiot with girls. That's why Holo says he is much like a child. I was hoping for more from the ending. Now I just want to see them get married and the anime will never have it. The book continues on though.

Holo wants to end the relationship with Lawrence because she realizes she is falling in love with him, and doesnt want that feeling to wither away, similar to when you like someone but you are scared that said person will stop taking interest in you. Holo also wants Lawrence to accomplish his dream, but Lawrence doesnt give a fuck and wants to continue his adventures with Holo either way. Both of them are clearly in love with each other, but Lawrence is terrible with girls and Holo really hasnt felt this way with anybody for atleast several centuries. The ending of the anime is not even half way through the full story. In the end of the story, Holo and Lawrence get married, open up a bath house up north, and Holo gets pregnant and they have a daughter together.
Has to drop season 2 ep 3 for my own sanity ,too peak 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭if I continue I’ll be mad they don’t even have any advancements into their relationship (no kiss etc)and dissatisfied ending
Ducky Duck no one really does the anime season isn’t finished yet, season 3 will hopefully come out soon, but the novels cover the story more in depth but it skips over the wedding and holo getting pregnant so the authors really need to listen to their fans.
i can guess what happened and why they not showing season 3 they travel to the north found a house got married and live a normal life that what I'm guessing why they not showing season 3
Major Cummings there is a bit adventure in-between, but yeah, that basically how the Holo/Larry journey ends. They eventually settle down in a northern town, marry, and have a kid.

They're pretty hard to find, but getting them on Kindle via Amazon might be easiest, but you can find them in Japantown perhaps.
