I've played Plague javazon in S9. And did NOT enjoy it... I had like 23k dmg, and it was just slow. My equipment was all skillers, torch (no anni yet), gargolyes bite, +3 java gloves, shako, +2 all skill steelclash (as spirit wards for Amazon are the most expensive), peace RW chest (+2 amazon skills and extra valkyrie), ravenfrost for cbf and carrion wind for poison creeper, rare belt and war travellers for mf. I don't know what I did bad with this build, but looks like without Bramble RW, this build is just not good. But would really like to see your take on it!
Meta builds are the ones that typically do well and are good season starters though, to be fair. I'd rather have meta build and a bit less wealth than a rare build and more wealth but struggling to farm efficiently

Allow me to disagree - (I have two kids) when will I play Poison Necro if not "now"? My time is more expensive than the skillets.

My usual season starter is FOrb but I went Inferno this time. What a shock, the lifers are 1/3 to 1/2 the price!
oh yeah fire is stupidly cheap, but TBH that's fair. I think fire sorc is the hardest to play. it has the highest "twitch" factor
Brother started summon Necro and has spent all of his currency on gear rather than buy plain skillers for a gul
