I once had a classmate who didn't know how to say "embarrassed" tell the whole class, "Estoy embarazada por mi español." "Embarazada" does not mean "embarrassed". It means "pregnant". And, since "por" can have different meanings, depending on context, "I am embarrassed by my Spanish," became "I am pregnant because of my Spanish."
