I first saw this in /v4c/ when I was 14 and it's seriously what got me into music and set me off looking for other cool bands and songs. Ordinaire EP was the first album I ever bought for myself, it's very special to me and always gets me nostalgic for having good times with friends. This song is also just insanely, unbelievably good and underrated. I haven't ever heard a band quite like Stepdad since.
Saw stepdad some time in the early-mid 2010s at warped tour. I was like 14 and VERY awkward. I walked up to the merch table not realizing Mark was right in front of me! That was the first time I had ever met a musician I liked face to face.. And I had no clue what to do lmao. I froze. He handled it like an absolute angel and I walked away with a sick shirt and some free stickers/tattoos 🤩Their energy on stage was excellent and Mark was giving it HIS ALL! Cherished memory.
When i was in highschool my half brother came back into my life randomly. That day after reuniting with us, he showed us this music video and it stuck with me since. Love ya bro.

honestly, living in Michigan and meeting these guys was such an experience. i had a friend that knew them personally who also made music and we all met up once and it was great. Bay City, Michigan is full of potential and talent and these guys are amazing.
im from michigan and my dad is a dj and he just came up to me and told me that hes waiting for stepdad to come up in my playlists bc of the type of music i listen to and i was like whos that so he told me the kind of vibe their music has and then he said i just think it would be funny bc ryan held you as a baby and i was like what are you talking abt 👁👄👁 he then proceeds to say that ryan had tried to start a band while he was in high school at the same time that my dad was trying to start a record label with his friend and so they were recording is a small studio in the house i was born in and one day i was sitting on his lap at my sisters drumset and we were just tapping on the drums. i thought that was pretty cool so i looked them up and their music is pretty chill and ahead of its time imo and i like it :P

That means they produced the music video, got a old used tape and transfered it from computer to VHS, played it in a VCR, recorded the output BACK to a computer, and that's the finished product we have here. The scanlines and the resolution are authentic. If that isn't hipster I don't know what is. Still love it. EDIT: they remastered it this comment is obsolete
