Get a quality big and wing with a focus on defense. Follow the Minnesota template. I’m a fan of the JJ hire. What also made the 2020 team work so well was the collaboration between bron, rondo and the coaches. I think hiring JJ with his high basketball IQ and a great supporting staff would work. If he takes a pay cut now, he's never getting more than that pay cut again, that's practically 100% certain. I think Chicago might as for a 2 year deal with a team option and could be willing to entertain keeping him at 27M for that, provided he takes the two year deal instead of a longer more risky one. I can see them giving him up to 4 years with a player option at the end, if he takes a cut to 20M per year. Anything below that seems highly unlikely. There are probably a great number of teams that will gladly give him 50M+ for two years and the Lakers aren't among those teams.

who realistically believe the lakers have a chance to win a championship within the next 2 years with AD and an aging lebron? lakers should seriously consider going into rebuilding mode and build a team the right way this time instead of revolving around 2 stars and revamping the rest of the roster virtually every year. as for LBJ, he should just sign with the Cavs, and go on his farewell tour while he's still relatively at the top, rather than continuing to play until he's become merely a shadow of his former self like many star players do.

Don't worry whatever Bum Pelinka does you can bet it will be a Trash Bust Move and the Lakers trying to hire another Bust Coach they believe will keep LeBron will be even more of a reason for LeBron to bounce. That trying to blame LeBron for the Lakers Organization Incompetents is over.
Also LeBron doesn't need to see anymore B S from the Lakers because he seen enough last season when the Lakers chose to keep a pick by not getting Kyrie, to then draft a Bust in Jalen Hood.
So it's Completely Illogical for LeBron to stay with the Lakers.

For the 1st time in my life, I’ve had the urge to find another NBA team,I’ve been a Dodger, Ram, and Laker fan my entire 52 years on this earth but these are not the Lakers I know. I can honestly say until now, no player on the Lakers was bigger than the team. Even the GOATS, Magic & Kobe were not treated like this. The Lakers aren’t try to win as much as they are just trying to make LBJ happy. They have become a team of mercenaries, the league has always been mercurial to some extent but what the Lakers are doing is just sad to me. I honestly am grateful to the NBA for the rules regarding trading away 1st rd picks or else LBJ would have the Lakers with no picks for the next 25 years, then he’d retire and never give a rats ass again about the organization. Jeannie Buss is foolish when she says they live LBJ and call him family. All the Lakers are is a platform to him and once he’s done he’ll never look back. Any decent coach would not come within 100 feet of this job. Dr Buss would never have traded for AD when he was going to be a FA in a year. He knew, everyone knew , no matter the player, that the Lakers were the destination, and players would come. Trading away everything was foolish, when they could have had him in a year for just a contract and still had there picks. They traded for him because they knew they were not the organization anymore they were under Dr. Buss leadership. What Kawhi pulled with Paul George, you think that would have happened with Sr Buss at the wheel? If the damn Clippers had anyone other than Kawhi I’d root for them.
