  • The Lakers will heavily explore the trade market this offseason, could they bring back Brandon Ingram? A recent rumor links LA to their former 2nd overall pick; Trevor Lane breaks down what a deal would look like. Plus, is Jonas Valanciunas the guy to target in free agency to play with Anthony Davis? And the mailbag brings plenty of questions about D'Angelo Russell..

knowing def rebounds is one of the big issues for Lakers, playing AD at 5 and Bron at 4 will continue to possess a major problem down the road as Bron is NOT able to help with def rebounds anymore. If all of this talk is just heresay and hypotheticals, why not throw someone really worthwhile in the mix, like Jalen Duren, a physical big who actually plays big in the paint?
Or, hell, bring back Dwight Howard or someone who could actually anchor the D.
I'm sick of seeing this team centered around a fragile AD and an aging Lebron's future, and Pelinka crippling the cap with third tier options, just to fill out the roster and put them in another play-in.

I really, REALLY hope that none of these trade rumours so far come to fruition. Always got love for Trae but I'd argue he is the direct opposite of what we need, and now we're potentially looking at a very injury prone wing who has never turned up in the POs?? Not to mention the money/cap issues involved. It sucks to say this again, but fringe moves for real depth is the only thing the FO should be concerned with. Address the issues of a physical big and decent two way players.

so much to say about this. every year we start with the saying "the Lakers can get outbid" and it never happens. I heard that with AD. Yet, the Celtics, who had all of these assets, never pushed their chips in. Yes, other teams have assets but they never use them and outbid the Lakers. When was the last time that has happened? Lastly, it will cost more assets but I'd rather go after Donovan Mitchell. I'm tired of injury prone players on the Lakers.

LMAO, this Ingram possible trade to the Lakers is ridiculous and Impossible especially for Bust Free Agent in Gabe Vincent and Overpaid Vanderbilt. No one wants them.
Also this all goes back to Bum Pelinka/Kobe Agent getting totally robbed by the Pelicans bidding against himself for the 4th Overall Pick, Ingram & Lonzo and control of 6 of the Lakers First round picks for 1 year of AD when Magic Johnson end negotiations with the Pelicans wanted more than 3 First, Ingram and Lonzo for a year plus a half. Meaning if the Lakers didn't fire Magic the Pelicans would got no more than the same deal with Magic replacing 1 of the first with the 4th Overall Pick.
So the Worst GM Ever came to the table after Magic like a Complete Sucker giving them everything they wanted and the Laker is still paying for it.

Murray should be at the top of the list of stars, or borderline stars, to get. I'm not a fan of any of the other possible trade candidates simply because everyone else is injury-prone. Murray has shown he is not afraid of big moments and that he has the ability to play good to above-average defense. On top of that, he has a fair to undervalued contract, which is why a player like Reaves is so sought after.
Murray for 2x 1st Rd Picks + Max Christie (Sign and Trade) Rui + JHS. Likely a three-team trade.
Reaves for 17th pick for Caruso and Torrey Craig.
I’m a big fan of both Reaves and Christie, but if the Lakers are trying to maximize LeBron's possible last year of playing at an elite level, they need to go all-in on creating a starting five that can play well with one another and has very few holes. This is under the premise that the Lakers do not re-sign DLo, allowing them to aggregate contracts, and it opens up the MLE of about $13 million, which will allow them to bring in another good role player. Hopefully, Isaiah Hartenstein (wishful thinking) or Valanciunas to fill that backup center position, which the Lakers have been desperate to fill since Dwight and McGee left. This would be my ideal outcome.
    Starting 5:
    -AD
    -Bron
    -Vando
    -“The Bald Mamba”
    -Murray
    Bench:
    -Hartenstein
    -Wood
    -Torrey Craig
-Vet Minimum Player or Bronny - Not likely to play much in the playoffs.
-Vincent (which I’m expecting a bounce back year)

I wouldn’t be opposed to him even being the starting 4 with AD at the 5. You get vando or reddish at the 2 to defend and reeves at 1. Woods is a versatile scorer and can play in the low post. He’ll consistently be going against the second best post defender since ad is starting

  • @garyblubaugh2517
    @garyblubaugh2517 19 дней назад

He was already here with LBJ and it didn't work as he was shipped out in the trade for AD.
So why would it work now?
    Needs
1 a sturdy big that can rebound, defend those like Jokic and Embied in regular season, and a plus rebounder.
    2. With that big as a back up to AD you need a 3 that's a solid 2 way wing.
    3. A SG that is a 2 way player you can start and move AR to a 6th man role if hes not traded.
    4. Is G Vincent capable of being the starting PG if Dlo leaves?
    5. With Wood, Prince, Rui (if not traded), Vanderbilt, AR (not traded) makes the bench better.
    6. I still prefer a reset to youth of current players and this year's draft pick as core.
    C. 17th pick this year
    PF Vanderbuilt
SF Rui, signing, or asset from trading AD
    SG M Christie
    PG JHS
    6th man AR
Then vet mins, Trade assests coming back in AD trade (J Kuminga from GS), FA from cap space by letting LBJ walk or sign and trade.
Reason being most of current West Conference teams are young and ascending, while Lakers are aging and on decline as the bench is weak currently.
If you go young now you change your window of opportunity to be in a few years from now when those teams have reached there max potential while Lakers should be improving at that point.
