Another question I found important through my college experience was asking how your roommate feels about company, friends, and boyfriends in the room and also communicating how you feel about it. Some people don’t mind. Some people do. And some don’t care, but there are certain times and contributing factors that’ll play a part. Should the two of you establish times where its best if company is and isn’t desired in the room? If their friends are extremely loud and I’m a person where my space is sacred, what does that look like for us? I had a college roommate who was in a relationship and sometimes I would come in and they would be boo’d up on her bed. But sometimes I would want to shower, change clothes etc.
Anyway, it’s a question that brings so much clarity and peace to rooming with another person and respecting a shared space.

i agree ! i wouldnt want to live with someone that has different/ random guys come in often or having people over soooo often to the point its like they live there & i wouldnt want anyone to move in like your roomie having their friend or bf move in

In the event that each room has a thermostat; ask what is their preferred temperature. I’ve been in situations where my roommate liked the room hot. Sis had the heater on in the summer time.... in GA mind you. So ask them how they like the temperature

A Question I think you forgot to ask was to ask of their religion. That would matter to me because I love to worship by Praying and listening to Gospel music you wouldn't want to make the roommate uncomfortable

I really wish my roommate would get to know me. I feel like i'm the only one trying and she doesn't even talk to me unless i text her first, but I don't wanna come off as annoying or controlling. What should I do about that?

im a homebody lol i’ll definitely be in my room the whole time . i enjoy just being to myself. pet peeves for me is mostly cleaning after themselves, making sure the house is clean in the am and before bed and then i have a son so i wouldnt want someone that’s disrespecting that by being loud all the time at night or during his nap times. ohhh & i hate a person thatll eat my snacks or food i got specifically for myself that i didnt want to share😂

this may be a dumb question but you choose your classes after you pay tuition right? cause im going to college in feb or march and i cant seem to find what courses i can find on their website. and when do you get a college advisor, first week of college or do you have to go and find them or are you assigned an advisor thatll help you
I believe you have until Add/Drop period ends, but contact your specific school for that info! I knew & spoke with my advisor before picking my classes
