UPDATE: Someone wanted to claim I "cheated" to get the completionist+ trophy (the comment has been deleted if you try to look for it). So, to clear this up: 1) No, there was no cheating. The bug that caused the achievement to unlock existed for every player at launch of the game. This wasn't something that you had to go out of your way to do. If you beat any deck on gold stake, the trophy would randomly unlock for you at some point after that. This isn't something you have to intentionally do. This isn't something you can take steps to avoid. The trophy was just broken for a long time. 2) I didn't feel the need to go back and gold stake all the other decks at the time I was platinuming the game because I would rather have spent my time doing the much more difficult challenge of getting stickers on all of the jokers. HOWEVER, this video was edited and finished over a month before it was released. During the time between finishing the video and uploading the video, I have actually beaten gold stake on all the decks just for fun. I didn't feel the need to re-edit the video just to include this fact because it isn't exactly a hard challenge to do, so I didn't think anyone would care, but apparently I underestimated people... But yes, for anyone that actually cares about it, I have beaten all the decks on gold stake.
I just managed to get Completionist++ today on pc with 193.8 hours in the game. Mostly used the Hex deck to get consistently solid runs. I ended up with invisible joker being my last one I had to gold sticker, so it was a real pain to finish it out lol, absolutely worth the effort in my eyes though as the game is so much fun no matter how much I play it. Loved the video!
I'm not sure when the exact patch that fixed the completionist+ bug was, but it wasn't fixed on PS5 for awhile (PS5 version gets patches way after the PC version does). I got the completionist+ trophy on March 5th and, looking at the psnprofiles forum, there are people saying the bug was still present in April. Also, glad you enjoyed the video!
I don't really like baron. I recognize that it's incredibly strong and one of the best jokers in the game, but I don't think I ever had a successful run with it.
I didn't look at the settings until I had been playing the game for a few days, so I didn't even know you could change the speed. Most of the time that I played the game, I had it on x4 speed, but because I got most the non-grindy trophies (like completionist++) done very quickly after starting the game, a lot of the footage for this video is from when I had just started playing and didn't know the speed could be changed yet.
The biggest obstacle is definitely the gold stickers on all jokers. To make that way faster, use the anaglyph deck and stack double tags until you get the negative skip tag. This will let you get multiple new jokers done easily any run you get the negative skip tag. Once you get down to the last 15-25 cards, just use whatever deck you like best. Beating jokerless for the challenges trophy is the only other really hard thing and for that, just build your deck to be a 4 of a kind build and hope for the best. Beyond that, the trophies aren't that hard, just require specifically aiming to go for them. And I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
Nah, if you look at the later footage in the video, it varies between 2x and 4x speed. I believe around the 9ish minute point of the video, the footage starts to be 2x speed and the gold sticker footage is in 4x speed. But by the time I saw there was a game speed option, I had most of the trophies, so a large portion of the video was in 1x speed and most of the time that I played in 4x speed wasn't in the video because it was just grinding gold stickers.
