What is all that extra metal stuff that is on the old cam @ 3:47 that is not on the new cam. It looks like it is directly connected to one of the lobes.
Really thinking about getting the dhm camshaft and installing it, but I’m a bit worried about the install itself, do you have any advise on getting it done correctly now that you’ve done it?! Thanks
I would say just take your time. This was the first time I have ever done this type of work and it went just fine. Make sure you get all the right tools and just go for it. Taking out the stock cam will take patience but you at least have this video to provide support along the way. Let me know how it goes! You got this!
Hey, I love your videos on the grom, they are the best on yt in my opinion! Quick question on this cam, I've been thinking about getting one but have heard horror stories on the stock cam chain tensioner failing. Have you had any issues with your bike since this install? How many miles have you put on it since the upgrades?
Hey so i got the cams intake and ecu tuned. I installed it did like 30 mile and im not aure if i really feel a difference?? Do u think i have to reset the ecu?ty for any information i appreciate in advance
Dude this was such a good video! Please continue making content like this. Your explanations are concise and simple, love it. Cheers 🤜🤛
Much appreciated. 🙏🏽 Thanks for the positive feedback. Is there anything else for the GROM that you would find beneficial?
Good video awesome angles and good explanations
Thanks for watching!

My understanding is that this is the decompression lobe. This is not used on any of the aftermarket camshafts.
awesome video!! thank you for sharing!
No problem.
Great video
Thanks!
Hello friend, I have a 2021 grom, do you know what measurements are correct for valve adjustment?
For the stock cam setup?
@@btbuildthings yes
Did you not install the cam retention bolt back because it wasnt shown in the video
I mentioned @ 5:37

Just watch the video couple times then knock it out! It's definitely worth it! 😎
Pull the plug when you do this or valve clearence people, much easier!
Underrated comment
Thanks for the insight!
Did you use new gaskets
No. The bike is still fairly new and I have seen no issues since the install but feel free to use new ones if you please.

Hi, congratulations for the video, it's very clear... one question, did you mount the cams with the original control unit? 🤔
Thanks. After the install, I flashed the stock ECU in this video: ruclips.net/video/26q4NNWMUMM/видео.htmlsi=QC6BLpuoLLZO-AkR
@btbuildthings Okay.....with the Dynojet you can also return the control unit to its original state, right?
@lidanoserra3934 Yes correct, that is my understanding.
did you ever tune the bike?
Yes, I did. ruclips.net/video/26q4NNWMUMM/видео.html
Top speed ?
72 MPH after the tune: ruclips.net/video/dtJ818I0BK4/видео.html
Canu run the cam without the flash
You cannot. The stock ecu cannot support the higher rpms that the cam allows.
