Electric vehicles are all the rage now and continue to be a very cool new idea. Electric Vehicles are made with a lot of help from robots, just like most vehicles that run on gas. Robots do about 80% of the work that goes into making an EV.
Even though most of the steps in the making electric vehicles have been automated and are now mostly done by robots, there are still some steps that can't be done by machines alone. More complicated operations still need a lot of supervision and input from people. So, both robots and people work together to make EVs. Before an electric car can be considered, it has to go through 4 main stages or processes of making. Some of these steps include preparing a space frame, painting it, putting it together with a motor base, also called "marriage," and testing it before sending it to the showroom.

The manufacturer designs every electric automobile. Given EVs' limited storage capacity, they must be made from lightweight materials. This also requires that as many safety precautions be included in EVs as lightweight materials don't give as much protection as robust materials utilized in many gas-powered cars. The space frame is the first EV component planned and produced.
In the body shop, five robotic arms are utilized to prepare the spaceframe. Sub-assembly is the process of connecting skeleton components together. Aluminum makes EV skeletons light and strong. Car weight influences performance, speed, and power usage. EVs are more efficient with aluminum frames. Robots assemble body shop pieces. These robots tighten parts in one position before moving on. This automated stage makes the whole process faster and smoother.
This is mostly done manually. A team of experts paints bones. Any mistake in painting spaceframes could ruin the job. The team inspects a skeleton from the robots for faults and loose fittings. Each member then washes one of the acceptable skeletons with a cloth. Dust or dirt on the body can delay the painting process. Pre-painting cleaning is done carefully. Team members wear gloves and other protective gear to avoid any frame damage.
Five robotic arms dry coats. One arm opens and closes the back and front frame while the other arms suck the sealant. Directly painting the coating ruins the color shade and depreciates the machinery. Thus the painting must be dried in a mainly automated and sensitive procedure. Once the coatings and sealants are dry, the skeleton is painted. Depending on the manufacturing, this may happen where the coat is dried. Moving a vehicle's body takes time and can harm the frames. Most EV manufacturers apply the initial coat in the same spot.
As skeletons progress through phases, critical elements are added, preparing each frame for ultimate integration. The electric motor powers an EV. Unchecked flaws can cost EV manufacturers a lot of money. All EV manufacturing procedures are simultaneous, with the most delicate electric motor testing. Engineers record and analyze test data when the electric motor spins at maximum rpm. Faults are rapidly fixed.
When the battery and powertrain are linked, integration begins. The marriage process includes fitting the space frame (vehicle body), battery pack, powertrain integration, and interior. Fitting the inside involves placing cushion-covered seats.
The car's symbol or corporate logo is added as the final fitting, bringing it closer to debut. All interconnected pieces are finally tested. Success at this level clears the EV for showrooms. The electric car's suspension and throttle are heavily tested.
Batteries power EVs. These batteries are connected to the EV's electric motor, which operates the wheels. Most EVs include a built-in solar collector that recharges the battery. EVs control the amount of electricity to their motor and gearbox, which drive the wheels.
With EVs came to a lot of other electronic transport gear like E-bikes and even electric scooters. Electric scooters work in a very interesting way, and we’ve detailed all of that in this video. You absolutely want to check it out. And as always, give this video a like and subscribe to the channel. Stay safe and Love all😍😘
