I feel like TMA never really had any Corruption statements about filth even though that was a main part of the fear. It was all just bugs and disease and fungus. But this is properly DISGUSTING.
They are in London-the most heavily surveilled city, according to Alice (reference needed). Oh, a thought just hit me. What if, now keep this as just an idle curiousity, What IF: the Fears were out with Jon and Martin and they found so many dimensions that each Fear could have a dimension unto itself? BTW, 5 episodes until the end of Season 1. I'm trying to prepare people so they aren't as shocked when Season 1 ends.
I think the meld theory holds the most water so far. But so fun to speculate further. I did Immediately think of Prentis and the Worms when the soup got mentioned. Just those little silver worms jumping at you off of your spoon. I do love the fact that we got a meat/flesh episode when Collin makes his grand entrance again. After his (ep 1 i believe) "I'm a vegetarian" line to Sam. Potentially Norris warning the OIAR that collin was coming with ill intent. The transmutation/transformation through line is cool to think about. Maybe these transformative processes are the 'Rituals' in this world? @schfuchs looked up the real world stats, London ends up with 68.5 cameras per 1000 citizens. Surprisingly Atlanta, GA, US is listed as 124 cameras per 1000 people. "FUN FACTS"
There is definately a lot more of body horror this series than there was in archvies and knowing the writers I'm almost certain that it's intentional. Also the whole world of tmagp seems a bit "off" in some way. Like, it definately feels like a universe paralell to ours
I've spent the last four years half-remembering a Nollywood movie with that plot, and the girl even had a secret night shift job to fill her second bank acoount. Just thought I'd burden you with this info.
After listening to this episode (so glad it's late so I wasn't eating), I saw something on Reddit about people scooping oil from a drain (?) to possibly be used in cooking, at a restaurant. As if I didn't feel sick already ha, I'm done for today.
I think if the previous entities have any role in this series, this is just straight up the Corruption, and I think the ending isn't a New You situation, but a swarm of parasites that are growing within the reviewer, kinda like Jane Prentiss

I wonder if that was just for our sakes? I'm sure there had to be cases of them but they might have kept them from us to protect us!
The junk yard episode 🤢
Another great review! I can’t wait for your video on alchemy, your explanations have helped me understand what’s going on throughout Protocol

Good point, I'll mention I had the episode count wrong in the next one
OMG CAPTIONS YES THANK YOU SO MUCH
So many episodes have been body horror or dealt with the self. I'm not sure where I'm going with this, but I feel like I have half the puzzle
It was awesome how they describe the food in this episode. It was like I could taste it and it was horrible

I wonder if Celia is sharing her body withthis universes Celia? That has a lot of implications though

i still vote for vampire baby
If jack is like evil baby or touched or something would that be why he can’t go back since ma has no entities now
I also feel like throwing up after that episode haha... Good to know I'm not the only one.
these episodes don't usually viscerally 'get' me, but this one? ugh.
