As a Sadako main who’s mained her since before her rework, I can confidently say that survivors still don’t know what to do against her. Just last night I had a p74 Ashley J Williams with a full meta build that died to condemn bc he didn’t pick up a tape once the entire game.
yeah lol all the time ive gotta tell someone to get a tape, otw my buddy kept cucking me by inserting a tape into a tv when i needed to pull the tape out, if onryo doesnt have that iri, you always want to let someone grab a tape b4 you shut off a tv

I see this series as a unique format of "How to play against [insert killer]!" You're a killer main, so rather than try and play survivor to demonstrate counterplay, you play killer to show the dangers of not knowing proper counterplay, and you usually say what the proper counterplay would be. I also think the question of "Do survivors know?" kinda gives you insight into where the DbD community stands in understanding killer-specific counterplay. I really like this series and find it edu-taining 😂
I am on the contrary. I wish the killer’s power would be unique in mechanics every match. Example: Let killers have 3 powers out of a list of 24, resulting in 12K possible power combinations of said killer, randomly selected for each match. The fear of the unknowns is what would keep the horror in the game alive. Survivors knowing how to deal with killers’ tricks and killers knowing how to deal with survivor’s tricks is just…. The opposite of what DbD stands for. Imagine playing a Spirit that phases through walls and requires flashlights being shined on her to counteract that, whereas picking up crests of her family buffs her. And the next game picking up crests of her family takes sweaty her power instead, flashlight being shun on her allow to instantly down a survivor with her teleport ability and pallets are now the only thing she can phase through. Another game with a spirit and now she can permanent movement speed buff (phasing mode is always on)… but she is incapable of seeing survivors AT ALL during the game. Etc etc. Endless possibilities with endless random variations of counterplay.
you are backwards. thats not what dbd stands for. but that is a cool idea for a game. combining rogue like elements in an asym would be cool as hell. but what you described is the opposite of dbd. dbd is about knowing how to loop X killer or knowing how to stop said loop@@kingol4801
This series is good for 2 reasons. 1 is to see how people handle a strategy beyond what the survivors are strong at (chase and loop to give people on gens time) and it teaches all who watch the series how the counter most likely works and gets people thinking about how the game should work.
Being an Onryo main has helped in my SWF during the rare occurrences when we see an Onryo. Because my teammates still don't know how to properly counter her so I'm constantly giving out directions to my teammates on what they need to do. She is so fun to play as well.
The way I see it I have over 8k hours and this game is starting to wear me down a little with repetitiveness. If the devs aren’t gonna give us new game modes (which we desperately need) then they should continue this path of making each killer play differently and unique like how Onryo plays. The tapes actually give survivors more to do. Just like how the void is for this event. It’s still a little lack luster but a step in the right direction to mix things up
To me this doesn't count as giving ppl something to do. Just holding down a button doesn't make diverse gameplay. Totems hold a button, plague hold a button, skull merchant hold a button. I'm not interested in playing this game until they give survivors actual fun extra things to do in game that isn't a variation on hold down this button and sit relatively still. I do want diverse fun killers but survivor needs a huge aspect of their gameplay modified
@@onepeice01 asking for the devs to give something that isn't specifically hold button down in asking a LOT hahaha I dunno, the SM promptpresser when disabling a drone was actually kinda neat, maybe variation of that idea would go a long way. like some kind of musical killer (trickster doesn't count) that you can somewhat suppress their power by doing a Guitar Hero type of minigame at a speaker or something. rhythm minigame type beat.
@@onepeice01 The point isn't the mechanic itself, but the fact that you have side objectives beyond just gens, which adds another layer of thinking and prioritizing to the game. Any standalone mechanic that doesn't require multiplayer interaction is going to be boring on its own, whether it's hold a button, press a button or press a series of buttons.
Mikaela was first depositing a tape, when you hit it you broke the tape and so she then started grabbing a tape out of the tv which has a similar animation as taking one out
dbd having niche playstyles techs etc. can be fun but they just keep adding them on top of eachother to keep us entertained but is also making the game very hard to learn especially without using outside resources such as streamers for information. While niche little tricks are fun and cool having too many will make the game a harder and harder pill for newer players to swallow and learn. I think these videos are a good display of how dbd has become so intricate with a lack of learning resources for both sides (K&S) from developers.
One detail I noticed is Tofu seemed like he was expecting Feng Min to scream from Face the Darkness during the first game. The thing is that Face the Darkness forces every OTHER Survivor to scream, but the one whose injury lit the totem doesn't, so he was never going to hear Feng Min while FtD was up from her.
Sadako is in a very...interesting place. She's a pub-stomper, full stop, because her power will highlight to the killer *exactly* which survivor is the weak link in the team. Any one survivor that does not know the counterplay very well and doesn't loop very well *will* be caught by the power, and they will get condemned and killed very quickly. Younger survivors don't realize that every time Sadako teleports, she is advancing her win condition more than getting hooks does. This may be why even players of higher skill dislike going against Sadako. She forces every member of the team to be competent, otherwise the entire team suffers. The team is only as strong as the weakest link. Funnily enough, Tofu, I think that while the iri add-on is still extremely powerful, her best add-on is actually the Mother's Comb. It seriously takes all of the mental load off of Sadako, turning your TVs yellow when they're off and giving you a loud noise notification when a survivor turns off a TV so you know when and where survivors are exactly whenever they interact with your power. That is my must-run add-on, flexing around the 2nd slot as I please. While I think full on slug is viable, I think hooking can accelerate the game and against smarter survivors will add more pressure than slugging does. If somebody else is nearby for me to continue a chase I will absolutely slug, but if nobody is around I will gladly hook a survivor asap and then get back on teleporting just to force a survivor to get off a gen and deal with the hooked survivor. Correct counterplay: Pick up tape as soon as tv turns on. Hold tape forever. When hit, Sadako will eventually peel off--go get another tape. Try to heal up if possible, but regardless just hold onto the tape. If you are healthy, take the hit again and when she peels off, go get a tape and *now* turn it in. If injured, hop in a locker and force her to grab you out of the locker. You'll get downed, but deny the extra stacks. Always bring down your condemned whenever you hit 4+ stacks.
@@kingol4801 exactly, it's why tunneling is such a strong strategy barring anti-tunnel mechanics and why people should always ignore the person wanting to be chased. Sadako just takes that base concept and brings it to the front of the game.
Something to get from this, is that when her rework was first going through, even after the buffs from PTB to Live, there was a large amount of people saying "She's still worse than before, and has basically no power, as long as the survivors do these steps, which are very easy!", but despite how easy the counter-play was purported to be, the vast majority of survivors, even at high MMR, don't fully understand it, and will die. Is this an issue with survivors not wanting to learn how killers work? Well, no, we see people picking up on the basic counter-play of new killers very quickly after their release, and sometimes before their release. I think the 'issue', like Twins, is that Sadako simply isn't a particularly popular or common killer to play against, and even if it's been months since she came out, I reckon many survivors have faced less than 10 Sadakos since the rework and haven't even been able to well-practice against her. There's also a lot of players who seem to know the counter-play, but only halfway do it. In my games I see many survivors who insta-pickup tapes before your first Projection, but then they... immediately go deposit it, or something. Or survivors who pick up a tape whilst in the lullaby range, and are close enough to be immediately turned towards to be worse off than if they did nothing. Survivors like the Nicolas in this video, who hold a tape forever, but even if getting caught with that tape means death, they just hold it instead of depositing to relieve pressure and getting a new one. Then, among those who really know the counterplay... there's a large amount that get stuck ONLY doing the counterplay, when it's unneeded. Survivors who neurotically grab tapes, and if they aren't being directly pressured, make damn well sure thier condemn stays at 0 at all times, some even jumping into lockers while *healthy*, just to avoid the 2 stacks. Survivors who are on Death Hook, and thus dead anyway the next time thier caught, never doing gens or healing because they're too busy running tapes. I'm not sure how long it'll be until the general populace really 'gets it' with Sadako. I think it's more interesting to play against a team that's difficult to condemn and pressure, but they're so rare that I get why people think she's 'broken'.
Survivors not understanding what to do and die is….. what horror is all about. Why would you ever want to play a horror game where survivors know what to do? That would not be a horror experience anymore… that would be a “tag with friends”.
@@kingol4801fr, sad thing is they are going to nerf her so im probs gonna stop playing if shes no longer a good killer lol. got to used to her playstyle now and when i try something different i get slammed as killer with them all escaping.
13:00 the Micaela (could be misspelling her name) prolly was grabbing a new tape instead of inserting the one she dropped. I think she didn't realize she lost her tape.
I really like that builds like this exist, and having to collect a variety of knowledge to survive a killers hunt because you never expect to be hunted or what by, feels very lore accurate
It would be nice to pair the videos in this series with a showcase of people playing against the killer that DO know what they’re doing. Maybe you could find a main for the killer and a competent survivor team and sort of explain the strategies of the survivors as a spectator.
13:10 Hi, Tony Stark here, am i'm going to explain what happened So basically, Mikaela was doing the "insert tape" animation, and when mr. Tofu hit her, it destroyed the tape But since the TV was still on, the Mikaela then started doing the animation to take out a tape from the TV Hope that explaination helped. Tony Stark out!
I see these videos as proof of how strong it is when these add-ons are working together. I say when someone finally plays against this build right, then you can finish it. Otherwise, these videos will teach people how to defend against it. It won’t be easy, but it will be worth it.
I don't play onyro like this just because i like to hook but i do still teleport and stuff just for the condemned to be slowdown or something else they have to worry about.
I find you don't really need to slug any more with the Ring Drawing change. I find survivors a lot more willing to pass stacks to each other if I let one heal get off under hook.
For that first Mikaela to die on the second game, she wasn't putting away the tape after breaking it, she was actually grabbing another one since the first tape broke, the animations are just similar with the exception of the tape going in or out. Her trying to "put the tape away" after being hit is something you'd do against old Sadako since hitting a survivor with a tape didn't destroy it and you'd thus still be able to insert a tape to get rid of stacks And honestly? That's all the proof you need that there's still survivors who don't know how to play against her condemn strats. That, or maybe she did know and was just like, what ever, lemme grab another tape anyhow. Which is a fine move. Even if she's full condemn, taking a tape will turn the TV off and prevent you from teleporting it for a bit longer.
*THOSE* ppl don't know how to play against this. Play her consistently, and pretty quickly EVERYONE you see will know what to do. Especially if you play in the early am hours. Then you get frigging ninjas who rotate turning your most valuable tvs off the whole dmn match. Except bodyblocking. Fsr even high iq survs try that shit and idk why but God(s) bless them because it is a struggle lol. I'll take the whole crew not on gens to pointlessly waste time and tbag furiously as i get my hard earned condemn. Thank you kindly survs you are my favorite perk
The main reason i think people still haven't properly learned to counter play sadako is since her pick rate as a overall killer is severly low compared to other killers. It is true that she is deceivingly strong if played well but she still has powerful counterplay (for e.g perma holding tapes and keep looping or holding w etc.) that balances her overall state, it's just survivors not really counter playing what makes it easier for sadako to be called "an overpowered s tier killer".
Tofu, one cool thing you could do with these series is if you go against a when you play TTV, you could reach out to them after the match and offer them coaching and do a part two within this series of you teaching the best way to play against the killer?
I played against this multiple times yesterday, running Knockout and Borgo offerings. After the third time in two hours I really was tempted to start DCing.
When I play Sadako I notice survivors just ignore the condemned enough to where I get at least one kill per game. Regardless of perks or add-ons. So without watching this video I'd say no, they haven't learned
If you want to make this video series more "educational" then I would recommend adding a 3rd game where you (and/or some friends) play as survivor and show what precisely should be done against that particular build, then put clips of that in the video. You can show it either before or after the two "observation" games, but showcasing what a survivor needs to do from their perspective will help.
I don't mind videos like these, but keep in mind: For the more casual playerbase, they don't read patch notes, and this is true for any game. Onryo rework, Alien tail nerf + turret bug fix, Sombra rework (Overwatch). Depending on your BHVR matchmaking, you might run into people who know what they are doing, and those that don't, or in the case of the first game, people who know but the overall skill level of the lobby is low. If you are going to do another one, as a person who experiences the pain of SoloQ, *PLEASE* do Tombstone Myers. See how many people play around it (i.e. as an experienced survivor, you should know how long it takes to Tier up to T3 as Myers. If the Myers is taking too long, its one of two things: Infinite T3 and/or Tombstone.)
I think it's good for the health of the game for these sorts of videos to exist. You're not crapping on random strangers and insulting them; you're explaining what they are doing wrong to avoid losing the match. Someone else could easily make them badly, by just calling the survivors names and clowning on them, but that aint this.
Survivor mains have to know the inns and out of tons of killers. Every release they seem more complex too. The knowledge a killer needs is simpler. I'm a casual. You can't expect casual players to know the abilities and add ons of every killer. Top survivors probably know what they're facing, but everyone else doesn't. It makes unique builds like this even more brutal for casual players. Edit: Just finished the video. Yup. Exactly.
In my opinion ohtofu, you should do what you are doing at this point. Also give the counter play against the killer so the “survivor mains” also get to learn how to play against the killers. Nice video.🙌🏼
I lowkey main Onryo but most of times I play against her as survivor because it feels like my teammates just die too fast so I believe I would just do what ace did. like yeah he knows what he is doing but what is the point if his whole team is lost?
I just started playing this game and Sadako is the only killer I've used extensively. I'd say maybe 20% of playerbase is aware of the changes; I regularly get one or more condemned kills per game without much effort 😂
It's a good thing killers have different counterplay. They keep making killers whose counterplay is just looping or W keying. This is way more fun imo, if there are some different killers too. However for a casual player this may be just too much time spent on learning how to counter every single killer, so idk
I kinda don't think was a fair play, since you are using her Iri addon. Sure, it IS a playstyle, but it's not her default. I think this series should be about the killer addonless.
I don't necessarily think *addonless*, but iri and purple addons are certainly not fair to imply as normal. Condemn Onryo requires this iri addon apparently! Man condemn is practically her entire kit, if it *required* an iri addon then she was a total failure.
@@greggp4840 Not really. Myers needs tombstone as well to be Myers. And that is ok. You can still play Sadako as a teleport/stealth killer and she is still decent at that.
Hot take: i actually like facing the twins because i actually know what to do against them but obviously not everyone had played for 7k plus hours like me so of course people aren't really trying as much to learn everything about this game.
Part of the problem is that with the killer teleporting constantly and all 4 survivors trying to grab tapes it quickly becomes difficult if not impossible to even find a tv you can take a tape from. It's a really unfair strategy because even if you're doing everything right you can still get screwed by it.
….. That is lore-accurate. Ring movie is literally about a hot potato game when people try to pass curse onto others. Survivor sandbagging other survivors is not a bug, it is a feature, as it embodies the spirit of the source material. Same as Myers’s Tombstone where Myers goes with “why wouldn’t I kill you at first hook” and breaks the rules of the game is….. intended. Or Bubba setting up ambushes and being territorial, as in the source material. Stop this nonsense. When you play against a killer, you play against a KILLER, with their uniqueness and all. You don’t play against a re-skin of the same enemy with slight differences. Sadako feels to play against exactly how she should feel - confusing, overwhelming and lethal.
@@kingol4801 You're also playing a video game. Which means the experience needs to be enjoyable on both sides because real people are playing both sides. If the game was pve where you're playing the killer against computer controlled characters then the only enjoyment you need to consider is the player's. Since all characters are being played by actual people everyone's enjoyment matters from a game development standpoint. Disregarding that is just someone thinking they are more important than everyone else and if they want to grief others then they should be allowed to do so. Griefing others is not a valid form of entertainment. This is not a movie it's a game.
I have just recently picked up sadako and I’m a player with about 312 hours and when I play her my games are significantly easier. Today, for example, an ace tried to body block for their teammate but I was de manifested. He continued to try and body block until I downed the teammate and moried her. (The ace was prestige 70)
I’ve played a little against the new sadako and she isn’t too hard to counter. I think it’s just the iri that people don’t expect and it’s a bit harder to to counter
God forbid survivors have to learn how to interact with a killer. Isn't this what everyone asked for? Other objectives? Side objectives? But anytime a killer has one, they refuse to actually learn and adjust their gameplay. It's the same thing with Pinhead, where survivors will just not even try to do the box half the time, and he's been out for like 3 years at this point. I main Sadako, but I don't do this strategy where I target people for condemn. I just use it for passive slowdown and focus on map control and stealth. And even so, I'll have people getting condemned fairly frequently. The contrast between people who actually interact with her power and do tapes, and those who just refuse to, is night and day.
I don't think there's anything wrong with gauging the general knowledge of the players you're going up against re: tactical acumen. I think two games is a small sample size for actual science, but like, actual science isn't what's happening here, so that's fine.
Tbh, as a Sadako main, iri tape makes getting condemn kills infinitely easier. The strat isn't braindead. It requires your close attention, but it still is an easy strat. Not the easiest, but easy. Now chase Sadako, 👀 that's a fun way to play her. Though, like all things, doing gens is a surefire way to counter it.
What you’re doing is educating the viewer how to counter play unusual situations. It has nothing to do with shaming the team you’re playing. It’s a community service. Also, I believe the thing that led to a little confusion in the video is that iridescent videotape, while it does require a specific TV, isn’t the addon that makes the TV farthest from you. That’s the purple Tape Editing Deck, which makes survivors start with a tape and their TV is furthest away. Iridescent videotape is subject to rng, which on Ormond could potentially be miserable… but I’ve picked up an Iri tape and had my destination be the next TV over.
I'm fine with killers playing differently, and I like the idea that she encourages a playstyle that is unique and does not require hooks. However, being on the receiving end feels horrible. Half your team probably does not know what to do and dies within the first couple minutes and then even if you did what you were supposed to do, you are probably going to end up slugged for half your bleed timer. I think unique playstyles are fine. But they should be fun and involved for all players.
… That is the idea. Welcome to a JAPANESE HORROR movie, where people die left and right. And even if you know what to… your demise is pretty much a destiny. This is not western horror where good guys win. Japanese horror is “you are cursed == you are dead, prepare for a world of fear until you will definitely and inadvertently die”.
@kingol4801 I'd agree with you, except this is a video game, and balancing is required. If we made the killer your way, there would be no playing the game as a survivor. You would simply die. It's the same reason Nemsis doesn't have a rocket launcher. It wouldn't fit the game play nor the balancing of dbd.
Why would new killers ever need to be added if they all did the same thing though? Isnt that part of the fun... That each killer is unique and challenges you in a new way.
nope people on my level including me suck when it comes to this killer (sadako getting 4 mori every single time I match with this killer )😂 plus I havent played that much lately and not alot of people use her
anecdotally, all my matches against sadako go like that first one, 2-3 people grab tapes right away, one people plays exactly like that nea and dies instantly, and even with the people who grab one person (me a lot of the times cuz I suck) gets jumped from stealth or generally gets hit right away I've had a sadako use that terrible addon that spawns everyone with a tape and even then as soon as the tvs turned on 1 person put the tape away and was the first to get mori'd, after 2 people died, the last person was condemned but instead of moriing them sadako kept teleporting around the map (she had brought a gideon offering) even though I had a tape in my hand, so the game went on for another like 4 minutes of slugging I REALLY dislike what her power encourages currently
The thing is, you dont want to grab a tape because you cant use ur item that way. Atm beamers are popular and after the healing nerf everybody brings a brown medkit at the very least. Its not that they dont know any better, either way you lose. I recommend not picking up a tape but when u reach 3 stacks then start taking care of it
current sadako is my least favorite killer in the game it’s not that she’s op or anything it’s that i feel it’s boring how she’s rewarded for spamming tps and dominating newer players instead of taking chases with survivors
i personally think that the problem with sadako is that NOBODY plays her. i literally never see her when i play survivor. when a killer is not being played often, and also has a different playstyle than normal, like sadako does, it doesn't allow people to learn how to go against it. if i wasn't a sadako main myself (i'm a survivor main and she's literally the only killer i play), i would not have known how to play against her because i NEVER do.
There's a growing problem with the absurd amount of knowledge needed to play well. You've got perks, maps, killers, items, add-ons, and occasionally events/tomes that affects gameplay too. I think BHVR needs to enable new players with better information so it's not so overwhelming. Maybe some quick-tip 3-6 panel info guide on each killer that pops up recommending some basic tips like "pay attention to where trapper/hag spawned (to know where they've probably trapped)" or "grab a tape well before you're halfway condemned" While I love this game, I've had friends ask whether they should give DBD a shot and I couldn't honestly recommend it. It's simply so much to learn and so easy to have an awful experience if you're not actively seeking out/learning on your own outside the game.
I disagree. Every killer should have 24 powers, 3 of which are randomly selected to play with each time, leading to 12k possible combinations of what killer power does and how to counter it.
I think really the only thing that needs to be changed for Onryo is her iri addon, it significantly makes things much harder for survivors and most of the times they end up dying due to it being very oppressive in time wasting or get hit. Would've been nice to see Tofu use other addons besides the iri cause I think that's whats pretty much carrying her to very strong OP levels.
I think this build should have a different name than condemn sadako. Like sure it's probably the proper name... but Sadako's Sad Slugs, Salty Slugs, or Sleepy Slugs could be a better fit. Every time I play the build the survivor reaction is always "ZzZzZzZz" or some form of upset insult directed at me. Also I'd just like to say, new sadako is kind of hard to see with while she is dematerialized lmao.
I hate Onryo, not because of the killer but because of my teammates. It’s so frustrating watching my teammates not get a single tape all game and then getting moried at 4 gens. Its genuinely so frustrating how clueless some players are at this game. Sadako should be a C tier killer yet she’s out here pub stomping
Because casual players are the majority of the game, and that is good. Killers (every last one of them) should generally have a way to just…. Kill survivors whenever by satisfying a secondary win condition. Myers with Trombone (pun intended), Pig, Onryo, Pyramid, Cenobite etc. Having a secondary win condition is not only fun but also makes every killer unique, as opposed to the same reskins of M1 base with slightly different things here and there.
@@kingol4801 I mean you can be a casual player and still generally know how to play against all the killers. You don’t have to know all the techs and macro, but players should know that they need to grab a tape.
i went against an onryo with no perks or addons and she got 3 moris. no we have not learned 😂 and i think the buff to her was overkill. all u have to do is spam teleport
Corrupt is one of the strongest delay perks in the game, if not the strongest currently. It is really a tie between corrupt and deadlock. It works regardless of what character you have, how lucky you are with finding chases, how lucky you are with pursing them. It is a stable, robust, reliable, constant sheer value.

@@onepeice01 asking for the devs to give something that isn't specifically hold button down in asking a LOT hahaha
I dunno, the SM promptpresser when disabling a drone was actually kinda neat, maybe variation of that idea would go a long way. like some kind of musical killer (trickster doesn't count) that you can somewhat suppress their power by doing a Guitar Hero type of minigame at a speaker or something. rhythm minigame type beat.
I don't think there really is a game that doesn't get repetitive after 8000 hours, but I understand what you are saying.
Mikaela was first depositing a tape, when you hit it you broke the tape and so she then started grabbing a tape out of the tv which has a similar animation as taking one out
That Mikaela thought she could still put the tape away but she actually started the animation of grabbing a brand new tape.
dbd having niche playstyles techs etc. can be fun but they just keep adding them on top of eachother to keep us entertained but is also making the game very hard to learn especially without using outside resources such as streamers for information. While niche little tricks are fun and cool having too many will make the game a harder and harder pill for newer players to swallow and learn. I think these videos are a good display of how dbd has become so intricate with a lack of learning resources for both sides (K&S) from developers.
As a survivor main I love this series to help me play against the killers better. Let’s me see the other side and how to counterplay it.
Ironically enough, that is exactly what an asymmetrical game is all about.
Hit weak link until the whole thing plummets.
@@kingol4801 exactly, it's why tunneling is such a strong strategy barring anti-tunnel mechanics and why people should always ignore the person wanting to be chased. Sadako just takes that base concept and brings it to the front of the game.
@@drewhoffmaster2969 unfortunately its all going out the window as shes getting a nerf
@@kingol4801fr, sad thing is they are going to nerf her so im probs gonna stop playing if shes no longer a good killer lol. got to used to her playstyle now and when i try something different i get slammed as killer with them all escaping.
i see it as a info learning series, learn what not and what to do against each killer
Really valuable for me as both a survivor and killer player- I never bought sadako so I had no idea about this counter play strategy until this video.
It would be nice to pair the videos in this series with a showcase of people playing against the killer that DO know what they’re doing. Maybe you could find a main for the killer and a competent survivor team and sort of explain the strategies of the survivors as a spectator.
13:10
Hi, Tony Stark here, am i'm going to explain what happened
So basically, Mikaela was doing the "insert tape" animation, and when mr. Tofu hit her, it destroyed the tape
But since the TV was still on, the Mikaela then started doing the animation to take out a tape from the TV
Hope that explaination helped. Tony Stark out!
5:53 ya i always make sure to keep my stacks at 2 or less i cant risk getting stared at
I see these videos as proof of how strong it is when these add-ons are working together.
Was that Age of Empires 2 music in the intro?
It's a social experiment for sure. You should now get together a really good comp team to play against this build to see how they compare.
I like this way to play killer. I have to play more sadako
The Mikaela wasn't still putting the tape away she took another one instead that also got immediately broken 😂
I played against this multiple times yesterday, running Knockout and Borgo offerings. After the third time in two hours I really was tempted to start DCing.
I love these vids! Would love to see Knight next!
😂 That Feng picking up her medkit was absolutely bull shit
When I play Sadako I notice survivors just ignore the condemned enough to where I get at least one kill per game. Regardless of perks or add-ons. So without watching this video I'd say no, they haven't learned
The main problem is sometimes finding an available tv that is on with multiple people nearby.
I think knight would be a good candidate for this experiment
I play against the condemn style with the good ol DC tech. Works every time
I think it's good for the health of the game for these sorts of videos to exist.
Yup. Exactly.
At minute 13, maybe she was trying to pick a new one after you destroyed the one she had?
When you hit Mikaela it broke tape then she went to grab tape
This is just the iri addon doing its thing. It’s a rare situation to be using it, so I’m not surprised survivors aren’t expecting it🤷🏻♂️
Mikaela was pulling out a new tape when you broke her tape after hitting her. Same animation
Addonless? Maybe 4 years ago lol but now in general atleast brown and yellow addons are reccomended
@@greggp4840 Not really. Myers needs tombstone as well to be Myers. And that is ok.
You can still play Sadako as a teleport/stealth killer and she is still decent at that.
Onryo doesn't NEED the addon to this but it definitely makes it easier
13:00 so the explanation is that tofu is an idiot. Watch the animation to see that she is pulling out a tape the 2nd time. Luv ya tofu
I wonder something tho, how would this work without the ultra add one ?
i can win without any perks since people just dont know what theyre doing
I have just recently picked up sadako and I’m a player with about 312 hours and when I play her my games are significantly easier. Today, for example, an ace tried to body block for their teammate but I was de manifested. He continued to try and body block until I downed the teammate and moried her. (The ace was prestige 70)
I’ve played a little against the new sadako and she isn’t too hard to counter. I think it’s just the iri that people don’t expect and it’s a bit harder to to counter
Why would you slug? When they don't get stacks?
Rip to onryo mains after this new patch including me 😢 just got a 4K condemn on lerrys with current sadako I’ll miss her forever
Honestly why im not to worried about how weak skull merchant is in chase because survivors in general dont know drones cant scan them if their still
I main onryo and I’ve gotten to the point where I can get a 4k with zero perks. She’s insane
She was grabbing the TVs tape
So plot twist deactivates corrupt? Must have been a bit of an oversight I guess.
I won’t forget how everyone was crying a few months ago when she was buffed saying she is useless now
She is still useless now VS experienced SWF. Which is only real robustness criteria that matters.
Randomemizer !
Oh ... Wait ... Not exactly
What a deliciously evil way to play her ❤❤❤
For this series you should play survivor against the killer, maybe have a friend play as the killer or something
I have only died once to condemn. She legit didn’t hit me only followed me so I couldn’t grab tapes and spam TP and no one helped me.
How about get a team that plays against it correctly to show how it works
The scientifically proven 2 game test. The answer was no
Pre viewer guess - No. No they have not.
Onryo main for years here. It was a nerf not a buff.
well this time its gonna be another nerf in that case
I think you should be able to adapt to different mechanics.
…
That is the idea.
I hardly ever get tapes and i still almost always survive lol the tapes are not that important if you amd your team can loop well
nope people on my level including me suck when it comes to this killer (sadako getting 4 mori every single time I match with this killer )😂 plus I havent played that much lately and not alot of people use her
So the answer is no they don’t know how to play against that still.
Hell yea
Your goal is to answer the question you asked.
How are new players supposed to know all this? I like looking on the RUclips
Just experience. You learn over time by facing the enemy, again and again.
anecdotally, all my matches against sadako go like that first one, 2-3 people grab tapes right away, one people plays exactly like that nea and dies instantly, and even with the people who grab one person (me a lot of the times cuz I suck) gets jumped from stealth or generally gets hit right away
I've had a sadako use that terrible addon that spawns everyone with a tape and even then as soon as the tvs turned on 1 person put the tape away and was the first to get mori'd, after 2 people died, the last person was condemned but instead of moriing them sadako kept teleporting around the map (she had brought a gideon offering) even though I had a tape in my hand, so the game went on for another like 4 minutes of slugging
I REALLY dislike what her power encourages currently
The thing is, you dont want to grab a tape because you cant use ur item that way.
Atm beamers are popular and after the healing nerf everybody brings a brown medkit at the very least.
Its not that they dont know any better, either way you lose.
I recommend not picking up a tape but when u reach 3 stacks then start taking care of it
I as a sadako main also recommend you do this :)
current sadako is my least favorite killer in the game it’s not that she’s op or anything it’s that i feel it’s boring how she’s rewarded for spamming tps and dominating newer players instead of taking chases with survivors
Correct but if you were half decent at looping and macro play shes actually pretty fun to face
It feels brain dead easy tbh. Get free kills for just teleporting.
i personally think that the problem with sadako is that NOBODY plays her. i literally never see her when i play survivor. when a killer is not being played often, and also has a different playstyle than normal, like sadako does, it doesn't allow people to learn how to go against it. if i wasn't a sadako main myself (i'm a survivor main and she's literally the only killer i play), i would not have known how to play against her because i NEVER do.
There's a growing problem with the absurd amount of knowledge needed to play well. You've got perks, maps, killers, items, add-ons, and occasionally events/tomes that affects gameplay too. I think BHVR needs to enable new players with better information so it's not so overwhelming. Maybe some quick-tip 3-6 panel info guide on each killer that pops up recommending some basic tips like "pay attention to where trapper/hag spawned (to know where they've probably trapped)" or "grab a tape well before you're halfway condemned"
While I love this game, I've had friends ask whether they should give DBD a shot and I couldn't honestly recommend it.
I think people just dont see her too often. They just dont have experience against her
I think this build should have a different name than condemn sadako.
Iri addons being completely unfair in public matches is nothing new.
When will you stop depending and overrating Corrupt? I'm so sick of seeing you using that useless perk over and over again.
How about he uses what he wants
