I believe they had an average age of 16 or 17 when they started in 1990 and it is amazing how good they were and it sucks that they broke up over money because some members wanted to just sell albums and some members wanted to make music and that sucks For my money this band was better than Pearl Jam when they started so if they could have stayed together they could have made some great music It goes to show that no matter whom you're friends with when you're a teenager those friendships normally don't last except for a couple of them maybe

as much as I love Silverchair, 3 piece rock bands, and a great rockin male voice... that dude is struggling with that guitar solo in every live video I just watched of the song! There couldn't be a better/easier chord progression to rip up the electric to and he totally blows it. I'm going to go ahead and call it.. he did not record the guitar solo on the album version! I'm trying to give him the benefit of the doubt but still dissapointed :( No way any of you muscians out there can tell me that he tore up that solo. sorry for the rant, but no one had mentioned it in the comments so I had to throw it out there.
Chad Whitaker wrong, not all live shows of his solos were bad, he just forgot how they go, watch the snl show, he plays it perfectly with good sound, and the show they played on top of a balcony in nyc (idk if it was in nyc but I'm guessing)
