Joe have been showing what you want from this show, someone who can’t dance at all to someone who has evolved incredibly, worked hard and been so passionate about the process. That’s what you want from Strictly, and seeing him step into a whole new side of him IS about the dance and how good he’s gotten.

OBSESSED WITH THIS DANCE. The dynamic, drama and fluidity were just amazing. I'm in love with this and am completely baffled with this score and i've danced for most of my life.
Had this dance been a few weeks ago they’d have been on their feet singing his praises. They wanted more emotion. They wanted him to SELL the dance& to get into the character and enjoy it.
He absolutely got into character. He looked like a peaky blinder. Acted like a peaky blinder. Angry but sensual. Harsh but soft.
This was sensual, the chemistry between them was sparking like crazy!
Disappointed in the judges. Not his best dance. But definitely not worth a 6. This is leagues ahead of his samba and cha cha cha. But because they were fast paced they focused on what he did well which was have fun!
But because this was slow they seemed to ignore everything they wanted him to do In the past!
Regardless of the scores this was my family’s favourite dance of the night, the passion and the chemistry between them is insane 👏🏻❤️

But I do not come from a dance back ground, but from a figure skating one instead. In figure skating we look for extensions, back (frame), lines, and commitment to the performance (not so hung up on masculinity in the traditional sense - Because figure-skating - lol). The lines that Joe was able to create were amazing. And his commitment to the performance was believable to me. There story came a cross to me and made me feel a bit hot under the collar. The fact that he was not able to dance 3 months ago is astounding to me. The first 30 seconds of this dance was a stand out for me especially. Technically I have no idea, but emotionally I was there with them.

He’s 5 foot 8 inches and the Judges expect him to ‘control’ the dance. I’m nearing 6’1 and I still struggle!!!! The judges need to appreciate this is a different side of Joe using unique skills to this dance which only maturer amateur dancers can pick up more quickly! Severely under marked. It told a story, it was entertaining and it would be easily watchable again!!!

HOW the heck did this get a score of 30?? the performance was SO sharp, passionate and powerful, exactly like a tango should be! the choreography was brilliant and Joe and Dianne's chemistry was phenomenal as always.
i understand taking off a few points for the techincal part if it wasn't perfect but Joe MORE than made up for the little techincal inconsistencies with that OUTSTANDING energy, passion and fierceness that he brought! it's undeniable that the overall performance was INCREDIBLE and absolutely deserved a higher score!
i hope now more than ever that they go to the finals and make a grand comeback from this! the finale just won't be nearly as riveting and full of charm and amazing energy without these two! #JOANNE TO THE END!
Sara the Alien I couldn’t agree more with you! This is one of my favourite dances he’s performed. He was so confident, sexy, powerful and told the story perfectly! The expression on his face was just everything. It irks me that last week when Stacy performed Les miserable Craig mentioned that it wasn’t ‘technically perfect’ but still praised her and gave her a good score! I can’t appreciate that Joes AT wasn’t perfect but GOD DAMN it was fierce. The same goes for his VW, that was the most true, affectionate and beautiful dances. His dances were the highlight of the night for me. And that’s coming from a strictly watcher, not a ‘Sugg fan girl’. I personally think it’s incredible how many of his loyal fans are behind him on this! Ashley and Faye stumbled in their routines and still get amazing marks? Whereas when joe makes a little mistake he gets 2 or 3 marks taken away, even though he sells the performance every week. The judges have definitely knocked his confidence bless him, after all those hours he’s put in. I think the BBC are definitely pushing for a girl winner this year. Anyway, I’m team Joanne all the way! I’ve loved watching his progress every week. Dianne and Joe are the partnership made in heaven♥️

This dance is what got me to fall in love with Strictly.
I watched Joe and Diannes journey to the final comp for Joe being a fan of his content. And when I got to Red Right Hand, I had to pause multiple times in awe. For the entire next day, it was all I could think about. It to this day is still my favorite performance on the entire show. Mainly for the talent of these two amazing people, but also for how much it means to me. Strictly has been one of the most fun pieces of content for me to watch in such a long time. Im so so thankful for this performance.

So under marked. The footwork was clean and precise, perfect for an AT. Also it was completely overlooked how he nailed the seductive side of an AT. Yes it wasn’t as aggressive as other traditional AT, but neither was the music. I thought him and Dianne were just going to start going at it there on the dance floor :D for what he lacked he made up in seduction and footwork. Good on you lad!

None of the celebs have danced before.
faye n ashley have dancing experiece - but it's harder for male celebs to have to lead a dance like this therefore this type of dance is more difficult for joe than stacey because joe has to lead but stacey doesnt - if you get what i mean?

Oh that's lovely but these expectations went out the roof for xyz couples on that same night.
The choreo for this dance was incredible!!! You could tell how much effort they had both put into this routine and it paid off!! Joe was a strong male lead figure in this dance, maybe not as much as he needed but he lead a lot of this dance. The chemistry and connection between them is exactly what is needed for this dance. I'm so proud of them both 💓

I love this dance so much. This is one of my favourites of theirs (along with their Viennese Waltz and Quickstep). Can't believe how low the judges scored them tonight, I don't think we were watching the same dances. Well done Joe, you're fantastic every week - and have only been getting better.

Even though it's not his best if you look back at his previous performances Joe has improved sooo much. He used to be stiff and "wooden" and now there's so much more fluidity in his movement and honestly that's what strictly is all about. He deserves to be in the finals regardless of this weeks weak performance
Legit one of my favourite Strictly dances EVER, and I’ve watched the show since the very start. This must be the fiftieth time I’ve played the dance because I just can’t get enough of it. Everything came together so wonderfully: The theme, the staging, the costumes, the music - and most importantly, Dianne’s fab choreography + Joe’s brilliantly intense attitude. He really gave this dance the drama and intensity it deserved, and really captured the feel of the Argentine tango, just as he always does for every dance. Of course it isn’t technically perfect, but he works so hard, and he led it so masterfully and had so much chemistry with Dianne that I totally believed in his character and the narrative. It was completely different in tone, character and technique to his other dance of the evening, and shows just how far Joe has come. He and Dianne were the standouts of the semi finals for me and I’m rooting for them to lift that glitter ball next week! ♥️
I’m just so annoyed that the score was rigged. It was definitely undermarked the judges are just trying to engineer who they want to be in the final. Joe has never danced before and it would be such a shame to have someone like Ashley who is already a trained dancer to be in the final when strictly is all about trying something new and seeing how you’ve improved. Joe definitely deserves to be in the final and I really enjoyed his dances tonight. You could see how hard he had worked and there was so many beautiful parts of his dances as well as chemistry between him and dianne. Hopefully he’s in the final

Then you weren't watching properly. His technique was sloppy, the tango was dull - except to his young devoted fans - and he deserved his scores. Although Craig's 6 should have been a 7.
His technique wasn't sloppy....he led Dianne the choreography didn't demand him to do a hundred ganchos it was quite simple and that wasn't Joes fault.
So unbelievably happy there through. They deserve to be on every inch of that dance floor until very end. Dianne crying when they announced it made me tear up a bit, theres just something so pure and beautiful between them and dianne is so refreshing for joe.I love how shes genuinely so happy for him and proud of him and every week joe says "i cant let Dianne down". They improve so much each week and joe gives it 100%. Watching their progress and chemistry build up through the whole series has been amazing. I really truly hope they win the whole thing.

This dance had me so captivated both when it was live and just now that i was shocked when it ended. I feel like i could’ve watched it go on a lot longer as it was so well done. I loved their characters and how both Joe and Dianne portrayed them. Seeing Joe like this was so intriguing and would love to see more of it. Their chemistry is undeniably amazing and I hope they get through to the finals. If they don’t then I hope their friendship continues and doesn’t fade away. They are amazing and have achieved in so much with how they have changed and how much Joe has improved. Keep up the amazing work! Hope to see you in the final!!
There’s an incredible inconsistent with comments from the judges. I agree there were elements of the dance that could have been better but a 6 is ridiculous. To say that this dance is only a mark better then Lauren’s samba where she repeatedly got on the wrong foot and forget the routine is abysmal! I would have like a bit more flicks and kicks from joe and maybe another lift! But for a male celeb this is always a hard dance and I personally would’ve given it an 8 or a 9

The choreography wasn't his decision but I felt like the choreography suited the music... he was given a peaky blinder theme tune while ofcourse judges gave Faye got a nice traditional AT music which enables choreographers to do wonders. Still preferred Joes due to the intense chemistry it was too good.

My favorite dance of the entire season!!
I’ve rewatched this dance sooo many times and I know I’m a bit late but that was extremely undermarked. He was actually leading that dance and was sooo strong. Without him dianne would’ve fell. The judges were really wrong and I don’t really like saying that but it’s true. Like he SOLD that character. And, Craig, in what world was that ploddy? I would’ve expected him to get 8s and 9s definitely.
the attitude in Joe during this dance was out of this world, he deserved better scores
sure, Joe may not always have the techincal part perfectly on point (even though he still is very close to perfection with how much he has improved since the beginning and how much confidence and love for dancing he's developed) but him and Dianne always, ALWAYS make the entire room FEEL their emotions and energies and chemistry and THAT is incredible and special. even some of the best dancers who don't miss a beat don't have that and you can't force something like that.
Joe was outrageously undermarked in both dances and all I hope for now is that the audience still manages to get him to the final so he can make it outstanding, entertaining and full of charm, like he does all of his performances.

This was completely and utterly undermarked and it’s just stupid that the judges think they can get away with this. I’ve been watching the show since I was 6 (I’m 13 now) and have never seen such bad marks for something as good as that! Honestly, one of my favourite dances along with the Foxtrot and Charleston he did. A 9 from me. :)

It was totally under-marked - the dance captured the theme of Peaky Blinders so well, and I was amazed at how good a dancer Joe was, considering that he had never danced before the programme. I was so pleased that he made it to the final as I think he very much deserved to be there.
I love the choreography - all this spins, movements and tension - it's how exactly tango should be. I think they did an amazing job.
I loved the Peaky Blinders theme and the darkness of it, amazing chemistry and Joe totally nailed Thomas Shelby’s look and manner ❤❤❤ and Dianne’s gorgeous 1920s look 😍

This has to be one of my favourite dances joe and Dianne have done, it was amazing, joe has worked so hard each week and you can see that in every dance he has performed so far. I just love them both so much and I ship Joanne more than I did before the two dances he performed last night 💓

I loved every moment of this and I disagree with the judges. It was moody, intense and each time I watch it I love it more and more. This was worth more than 30.
This was soooo amazing, and it showed a complete new side to Joe! They deserved much higher. I thought it was incredible and both dances took my breath away! 😍❤️xx

My God, Dianne really is an impressive dancer! Beautiful to watch! And Joe's hard work is so evident. I'm sure the judges have their reasons for scoring as they do, but the scores for both of their dances tonight seemed incredibly harsh. I truly enjoyed watching this dance so much! ❤️
