Chuck, you can accept the orders first and then look the items. If is a bad order like a bunch of item or water you can cancel the order without penalty as long you don't start the trip. If you already start the trip it will count as a dropped trip.

I’m in the Atl metro area however with spark on this side, we have to show ID show exit pass at the door and they examine the cart whether good to go or not. Not annoyed it’s due to all the scams just takes more time.
Pedro DoorDash Santiago got deactivated from DoorDash the same day you did, and he absolutely HATES Walmart spark. ⚡️ it all depends on where you’re from. In St Louis it’s terrible. Also in Milwaukee it’s horrible!

14:47 I had a CVS DoorDash shopping order that took less than a minute today. Hey, I also had a first today. I delivered a muffler, and rotors and brake pads. Good thing I drive a pickup.
Surge orders are sent to all and up for grabs. Check money and mileage and hit accept. If you check address and item count, you will lose out if it's good
Hope your next chance with Roadie works out better. I just signed up for it last week and it's been pretty cool. I don't have a big enough vehicle to take advantage of the larger money opportunities, but I scalp the low hanging fruit of best buy/CVS pharmacy/walmart options. You'll have to do a quick little quiz before you can do the pharmacy pickups, so be aware of that. The pharmacy drops are some of the best dollar per mile ones. Since there are usually so many CVS around a lot of them will be 1-2 miles and the minimum I see is $7, sometimes as high as $16.
When I signed up for Roadie it took almost 3 weeks for my consumer report to be finished. I thought I'd never get signed up lol! Bit once I was finally onboard I did get my first gig I applied for so that was cool 😊.

Chuck: I've been on Roadie since August of 2023 and I've delivered 2 total orders. Very few offers make sense in my area and I live in a good area with a lot of consumers. There is a tire place close to my work and I've bid on 4 orders that actually made sense, but I was not selected for the orders. I do see some Wal-Mart orders here and there, but not often. Some of the best offers I saw were during Thanksgiving/Christmas time for Wal-Mart, but I was afraid to take those as I was guessing I would be waiting for 30 minutes to get loaded with how busy they would be. You might have better luck as you might not have as many people signed up for Roadie, but I don't see a ton of orders in my area. SHIPT is another I have, but I've done 10 orders in a year on there. You have to hope that customers tip after you deliver, and it only happened on about 50% of my orders and was a complete waste of time for the most part.
Hey Chuck, What I've heard, and found to be true in my area, is that if you cancel the order within 1 minute from the time you accepted it, and before you start the trip, it doesn't count against your dropped trip rate.
I dunno about the fastest shopping order I had a Walgreens that was 2 12 packs of coke and they were at the door right next to the register I was in and out in less than 45 seconds lol

Offers with no timer are first come first serve meaning they go out to all drivers at the same time. They don't count towards your acceptance rate if you reject them. Ones with the timer are for you only and do count towards your acceptance rate if you reject them
Walmart was having issues all day today nationwide. I took an order this morning. I delivered it. Every single spark driver saw that same order and so many people tried to pick up but couldn't
Also when it’s pending because you put a bit for the order. You have to wait to see if you’re accepted or denied. Pending offers aren’t given to you. The system is considering who should get the order because everyone sees it the same time. Usually those closest to location will receive it.
When a spark order comes through if you click the order it will show what you see in the screenshot at 21:09 40 items 50Qty. Spark does say that too many dropped trips could get you deactivated but metrics seem to move much faster on spark than DD. Mine was at 28% before my market switched over to completion rate instead of dropped trips.

A lot of my Roadie orders are larger items from Walmart like grills that they don’t put on Spark. Offers go up like on Spark if no one takes them. The best order I’ve had was a $54 medication delivery going 30 miles, and I drove 25 miles to the pharmacy just to do it.

I’ve had a lot less stress in my gig work days since regularly doing Spark in the mornings. Chuck, do you know what time the first round robin orders drop in your market? In my market they drop at 20 min after 7AM. I can always count on two good Spark orders in a row before I turn my other apps on.
On roadie pay attention to the tag at the bottom tells you the size. When you click on it you can view rhetorical weight and dimensions. Sometimes they send tvs or bbq through there so be careful
I did Roadie in the beginning when they had luggage delivery from the airport to the person home if they didn’t get the luggage due to on different planes
Roll the dice and accept the shopping orders. I shop fast so 20 items doesn't bother me so most orders fall in that range. 20 items I can do in less than 15 minutes as long as there is no softline items
I'm glad spark was acting up on a Tuesday, also my county declared State of emergency due to the extreme damage from high winds 💀 still without power 8 hours later. They are saying it could be potentially until Friday or later until power is restored here..
Apropos of nothing really (except that I happen to be up to a part where you were walking stairs) but I have to say I hate stairs! Especially going up. And especially when I’m try not to drop drinks etc. It’s so much easier when I have a pocket for my phone and keys, etc.
People are running illegal bots to grab orders, this is why they disappear so fast. We have that issue in the area I work as well depending on the day of the week and time of day. Walmart knows about this and does nothing about it unfortunately.

When a sparks offer shows up one at a time the Walmart computer sends them out based on your stats! Thats a fact, when you decline orders they move you down in rank so the good orders that come out has already been accepted by a higher ranked driver. Now a lot of people will give me crap but thats ok! Walmart is not your friend! They are customer driven and focused. Sparks drivers get handed the dirty work and I know because I have been threw this already! And ended up getting deactivated. I do believe the reason was for rejecting offers. See they dont wont you to reject nothing! They want you to be a employee and take whatever the big dog throws you! So just letting you know be careful because they will deactivate you!
I haven't seen in order from chelo's in over a year. I had to ask doordash to stop sending me orders from that store because they are extremely slow. I had to ask them about 3 or 4 times but the orders finally stopped coming from that slow ass store and I didn't get myself deactivated, I would have to be a real dumbass to get myself deactivated for something like that. 😂

Be careful with roadie walmart orders. They are always marked X-large. Walmart uses roadie to deliver all large items, such as 70inch tvs, 150 pound furniture, etc. Click the offer it will tell you the size and weight.
I HATE Roadie. Been waiting for a "consumer report" which is from checkr which I did back in April. Sent an email back in May about it and they told me that I should hear back in 7-10 business days. Well over a month later and still no word. There must be someone with the same names and stuff becuase I always have issiues when signing up for apps where I have to send stuff in 5 times (or with Uber where I have to send my drivers license until the day I die it feels like). Thankfuly I need to review my drivers license in a few months so hopefully this fixes all my issiues when signing up for apps.

I did my first Spark order Sunday finally pulled the trigger. Plan to do Spark in the morning just trying to learn how navigate the app..

Make shure the item you submit for will fit on your car some times it's bigger than what you can take.

Spark has both curbside orders (already shopped and you deliver) and shopping orders, which you shop and deliver.

I did 3 trips up to a 3rd floor apartment with heavy items last night in 95 degree heat. Tip not quite worth it. I was winded & went home after that.

Spark was acting up for me today. Every offer I accepted showed not started and then canceled.Spark kept sending them over and over.
This evening I got a notification from Spark that they were aware of issues with the app and they were working to fix it.
