When people ask me where my cynical attitude about life came from, I simply tell them I grew up hearing George Carlin, Richard Pryor, and Sam Kinison. I get human nature well, laugh at myself as much as other people, and have a wicked sense of humor. I learned from the best. 😉

We are not drawn to things by chance. A seed of that cynicism must have been in you already

@@marcodallolio9746 No doubt.....we used to go downstairs of our local library, 13/14 years old and listen to Carlin, Cheech and Chong etc on cassette tapes...Hoping the librarians didnt come down and catch us

    My favorite George Carlin bit.....
(This was after his friend, Richard Pryor, unintentionally burned most of his body in that horrific and well-known "free-basing cocaine" incident and after both men suffered 5 heart attacks between them.)
George Carlin: "Yeah, our careers, Richards and mine, mirror each other's. We both are comedians, we both have starred in movies, we both have written books and we both have sold millions of albums. What a lot of people don't is how much our lives are so similar too.
    Heres an example.
Richard Pryor had a heartattack..... so I had a heart attack.
Richard had another heart attack..... so I had another heart attack.
Richard decides to burn himself up and I said, FUCK THAT, I'm going to have another heart attack."

I do not consider him a cynic at all. He is a realist. He thinks deep and feels deep, and his observation skills are galaxial and profound. He is brutally honest and speaks HIS truth.🙂

Yes I think you guys were fortunate enough to miss out on the on the era of what I called Yuppie Slogans; essentially people that think an entire philosophy can be put on billboard or a t-shirt. It wasn't just latent Marine Corps mentality as George suggests.
People ate it up too. You know how Cross-Fit people talk and act? That is the modern equivalent imo.

If you're interested in doing something a bit longer without the editing headache of reacting to an entire movie, you guys could react to some of the classic Christmas special. My suggestions: Trailer Park Boys Christmas Special and The Garfield Christmas Special.

When did Carlin turn into such a hateful comedian?
