Bob, you got a great style of playing. You have all the ability but you don't sound pretentious when you're laying it down, if that makes sense? You just got good style, solo-wise, and obviously a great ear for the riff. Got my creepy face from brad sometime over a decade ago and absolutely love it. Awesome you can work with someone like him that could help you develop a custom pedal like this. Sounds beefy AF. 👍

I have an ever increasing collection of fuzz pedals but I'd trade them all in for one of these. Out of stock forever so I am guessing the production run has ended on them. I love other Creepy Fingers pedals but The Balch is my holy grail. Can't wait for the re-scheduled Fu Manchu gigs in London later this year and will try not to pinch this off your board!!
Brad recently posted on his instagram about a new batch of 10 pieces, but they were sold out instantly. I want one really bad too - next time 😅

Excellent, how does it compare to infinity fuzz of Ed Mundell since they both have same controls?
I have both, and the Infinity fuzz is cleaner, best way I could describe it. The Balch is GNARLY though. Check out our songs on our page to hear the Infinity Fuzz. (We also have a track featuring Ed Mundell coming out next month) 🤫

Is the cranked Rola the equivalent of dirty-channel amp or clean amp that’s cranked way up? I have an Orange Rockerverb and the clean cranked all the way sounds kind of like AC/DC, the Rola sounds more like a distortion channel. Anyways, how does this sound through a standard clean setup? Would I need to run this through a distorted amp to get the tones you’re getting here? Thanks Bob!
Colin Egan the tones would change out of a clean amp, I just dig having a a little dirt before anything else is added.

Colin Egan Do you typically use pedals with your rockerverb? Mine hates all fuzz pedals. It kills the body of the fuzz. I’d love to know what settings you are using if you use any fuzz in front of that amp.
I have a fender amp that I like to throw fuzz in front of but my orange just wants to be its own thing.
Brandon W. That’s odd, I find that my rockerverb (MK3 version) takes pedals really well on both the clean and dirty channels. For Fu Manchu type stuff I use the clean channel with the volume cranked to get some power tube breakup and kick on a fuzz. On clean I typically set the bass to just below noon and put the treble around 3 O clock. My current fuzzes are a StompUnderFoot Demogorgon (big muff) and a Danelectro Eisenhower (super fuzz)
Colin Egan thanks for the reply. My Rockerverb is a MK1 so that may have something to do with it?
@@brandonw.8091 Is it a 50 or a 100? The 50 has 6v6 tubes instead of el34-s. I have the mk1 50 and it takes distortion pedals extremely well on the clean channel. Wampler Pinnacle is almost spot on Van Halen, Diezel VH4 sounds amazing too. Haven’t tried it with fuzes though.
