Yes! Godzilla! BOC fuckin' rules! A band way ahead of their time. People give Zeppelin and Sabbath a lot of praise but BOC I reckon is the greatest band of the late 70s, and definitely in the big 4 of heavy metal, like the 60s and 70s sound: BOC, Zeppelin, Sabbath and Blue Cheer!
There's SO MANY versions of this song and they all SLAP! In addition to the OG and the Fu Manchu stoner version, there's a punkish one in Japanese by Fighter Ishida and GYM and one made for the credits of Godzilla: King Of The Monsters with most of Dethklok, Serj Tankian and a goddamn Japanese chanting choir.

I remember when this came out in the 70's , i think i was 12 or 13 and couldn't get enough of this song. Then i got to see them live in the early 80's at a small club. They used to play under Soft White Underbelly" so the place wouldn't be to packed. Great job as always Steve!🤘

The first ever doom song I learned and listened to! The tone was a tad too dark in my opinion, I think you'd have better results using a super fuzz style pedal like the jhs supreme. Running my Les paul into my plexi with that pedal gets the tone exactly right, so it might work into a matamp too.
I wish I could do the same but I don't have the know how. I have so much I can teach in all sorts of genres. What gear do you use for you videos production and such? So proud of you man!!! You've come such a long way with your channel and content in such little time. Cheers.
It really comes down to just starting and not worrying about the production. Try to make a new video every week and improve the production just 1% with each upload. If you go look back at my first videos on the channel it’s nothing but an iPhone. No mics, no lights, etc. I use a free software called Shotcut for video editing. These days if I was starting from zero I would start with YT Shorts / TikTok / IG Reels where production has minimal value anyway and organic reach is highest.

Would you rather recommend P90s or Humbuckers on an Epiphone SG for a Electric Wizard / Sleep -ish tone? Not sure which guitar I should buy but the pickups seem to be really crucial, any advice gladly taken!
I’d recommend a set of PAF based humbuckers for those bands in particular. Matt has been all over the map the last decade or so but Holy Mountain / Dopesmoker are Gibson 490R/498T. Jus has typically used some type of PAF style pickups until very recently when he has been using an Epiphone with P90’s.
