Great video Doc. Sometimes, when things go wonky in life as they sure do, all we have to cling to are our core values. I was a foster parent for 25+ years, a single parent since 95 ( Husband dropped dead at work) and ended up adopting 6. Man, those years were nothing short of a ever changing carnival. People used to ask me "How can you do this? I'd go nuts..and I would just tell them my core values which one of them is " you do what it takes, for as long as it takes , no matter what it takes and things will get fixed. Foster parents ONLY get broken children. You do what it takes to start to fix them. You adopt them when the pain of losing them is greater than the pain of keeping them. I think that's really another core value:: Get to know yourself. You know what's right as well as what's wrong. Live it. Everyday in everything.
Peace
Wow! You’re an absolute angel on earth! Thank you for sharing a bit of your story! 🙏🏽🙌🏽🙏🏽
Claire, not only do you have great taste in books, you are an incredible parent! Your children are so lucky to have you! You are a beautiful person 😊
@@DrMudgilThis woman is incredible!
Dr. Mudgil, you are a wonderful and compassionate person.
Very important to be in tune with the patient's needs, etc.
Having worked for an ortho surgeon for 43 yrs in Montreal I always found it very important to be compationate and helpful. One must not forget that the patients that present to the clinic are in pain and is looking for relief.

Right on! One can never be too empathetic or compassionate in my mind! 🙏🏽
When those comments are negative about you asking a patients well being, they were brought up with no morals or standards. Thank you for being you Doc
That’s the only person I know how to be! Appreciate you! 🙏🏽
I feel you're spot on regarding Core values..seeing someone without these values drives home the importance of them.
BTW...You are RIGHT for keeping account of their pain levels.
And your music is perfect...a soft jazz..The Thomas Crown Affair type...excellent choices!!! I appreciate your level of compassion for your patients..this society we live in lately is becoming so hateful that caring people can sometimes seem "different".. sign me up!!!!!😂
Appreciate you! Many thanks! 🙏🏽
Doc, this is what changed my life when I read your book: My core values are 'Creare, Minutiae, Dependere, Empathia'.... my core values of 'Creativity, Detail, Dependability, Empathy'... I changed it to Latin to draw/paint an artistic coat of arms for myself a few years back... by the way I have an incredible recipe I created for a super nacho recipe called "The Mountain" are you interested 😂....
Love those core values! Latin is a nice touch too! I’d also love to learn more about “The Mountain” - sounds delicious, please share! You know where to find me! 🙏🏽
@@DrMudgil I will email you the recipe! It feeds a crowd, and it can be made healthier. I had pictures as I made this back in the 90s (before the internet), but I'm sure the instructions will suffice (who knows where the pictures are!).😋💚
@@marthawood3367Looking forward! 🙏🏽
