This is a masterful interpretation of a bilingual song that carried incredible meaning when it was first written and released by the Clash. The accordion and Spanish guitar give it the cultural nuance Joe Strummer intended when he wrote it. I don't know Ceci personally, but her rendition is a true homage.
I have to disagree with you on that, as The Clash here intentionally uses pidgin Spanish. In fact Strummer, who had lived in Mexico for two years during childhood, at one point stated that they refrained from using standard Spanish in this song.
And this is from the poet she/the clash mentioned El Balcón If I die, leave the balcony open. The little boy is eating oranges. (From my balcony I can see him.) The reaper is harvesting the wheat. (From my balcony I can hear him.) If I die, leave the balcony open! Federico Lorca
la Neta no me latio esta version tenia mucha fuerza cuando tenia el respaldo de TODA la Banda TIJUNA NO¡¡ lastima eso no volvera...TIJUANA NO' NO'SUCEDERA DE NUEVO..
Seriously, who was Joe Strummer??!! How was he in touch with any of this? How did he know all this? A white poor kid from England who can be so expressive about Latino politics and war? I thought I had Joe figured out. I seriously can’t get my head around this.
Strummer was an intelligent man interested in the world. For his and my generation the Spanish Civil War was important. Standing up to fascism. Still important. Slava Ukraini!
A esta velocidad a mi sobrina se ha quedado sopa en los primeros 10 seg. Esta canción devería hacer que bote y rompa la cuna como una poseida o posesa...casi me duermo hasta yo... ;-P
surely, that was what punk was all about.....we all can, so we all will, no matter how good or bad we are........BTW the guitar is perfectly in tune.....and i'm a professional musician.................dohhhhhh
This is a travesty, a shocking and naive interpretation that fails to understand or interpret the nuances and basics of the original. The singer seems she would rather not be there or that she is desperate for the toilet. Am sure she is good at what she does but should steer clear of stepping into the unknown. Truly shockingly awful.

Ceci es la muestra de que si se puede hacer pop rock con contenido social y sin ser ñoño o tonto.

CURADA MI CECI!
Una belleza la Ceci 😘
I like how she corrected Joe Strummer's terrible Spanish.

tem algo estranho nessa apresentação. A cantora não está com sua trupe
Play at 1.50 speed.. way better
The correct Spanish just doesn’t go with the song.. punk rock isn’t meant to make sense…
I can appreciate the effort, but this is a bit of a bastardization of the original in my opinion.
That guitar is out of tune.
surely, that was what punk was all about.....we all can, so we all will, no matter how good or bad we are........BTW the guitar is perfectly in tune.....and i'm a professional musician.................dohhhhhh
Besides, we all know that no instrument is well tuned here in México, ese xd
Mick was out of tune sometimes too so who gives a fuck ^^

I agree, this is a really bad attempt, she has no idea and lacks talent and the credibility to pull it off.
