You should update your tutorial for December 2020. Hostgator has changed the way you set up WordPress once you pay for domain. Hostgator representative was able to help me. Once the domain was registered (which took 24hrs), WP was installed. I followed your instructions and it was great. Thanks for all the hard work on this.

If you're using WordPress.com (the free version), I think you need to upgrade to the premium plan for this option... I am using the self hosted version of WordPress in the video (.org) if that helps clear things up?

Would one use host gator with word press instead of going completely through Wordpress because it’s cheaper or are there also other reasons to consider?
Oh, if you go through wordpress / upgrading you will be using WordPress.com, where as I use wordpress.org in my videos, which is known as the self hosted version, and considered to be much better than the .com version (if you do a Google search which is better). I hope this helps clear things up a bit for you 😁

Thanks Nadia :) And you just need to hover over "Appearence" in your left dashboard menu, and click "Customize". Then in the theme options you just opened, you need to click "HomePage Settings" and choose your blog page in the drop down menu. I hope this helps, and sorry for the late reply! Martie
Hi Martie, great work... I've followed your tutorial and have created my website. There's only 1 section where I got lost: At the 40-41 minute mark, when creating blog posts I do follow the steps but my blog posts end up being published on a 'posts' page and not on the 'blog' page. Given that the posts page hasn't been added to the Main Menu it can't be found. I don't know where did I go wrong that my blog posts go to this 'posts' page and aren't being published on the 'blogs' page. Can you help?
