Hi Jason, I'm around 12 handicap, looking for recommendations for either the new Miura IC-601, CB-302, or Epon AF-507. I'm currently using fujikura axiom shafts but wondering if can recommend something smoother or softer.
from what we heard IC-601 has discontinued a few years back, so Cb302 is a mid to low handicap so should be a good for your handicap. Epon 507 I would consider more of a mid to high handicap kind of iron. If you need lie adjustment Miura is easier&safer to bend, 505&506 are both almost-not-bendable, not sure about the 507 yet. overall I think 507 should be more easier to hit while 302 should produce more spin. About shaft if you want to stay in Fujikura then MCI is much more softer then Axiom, MCI in my opinion one of the smoothest iron shaft there is.
Thank you so much for your response Jason. Really appreciate it. Sorry i'm asking for the IC-601 cause the IC-602 is going to be released soon, was wondering if that that is more geared towards my handicap range. I realized you are from Beijing too. I was originally from Beijing so it's really good to hear your accent haha. Tried the cb302 didnt really like the feel, now debating between ic-602 vs af-507.
@@georgegao1408 Great! 601 overall I think is not a very success product becaust the head looks very different. top line was very thick and head size was very small. Looking forward to 602 if they can manage to change the look.
I noticed the Miura 601 are not made in Japan and are not actually forged. How do you think they compare to Srixon zx5? I hit off center quite a bit with a tendency for slices, unfortunately. Do you have a suggestion between Miura 601, 301, Epon 505, Srixon zx5? My main concern is consistently hitting straight. For shafts, I was fitted to a KBS money taper lite. Thank you!
Sorry I have not hit the Srixon ZX5, but the 601 is quite unique I'm not sure people will like it or not unless they try it. it's an odd shape, very thick topline and pretty small club face. If you're liking the 601 please do go and try it first before purchasing. the 505 is a good choice for its great stabilty but the please note that EPON 5 series is getting new product soon.
Hi,601 feels like a hollow constructed iron, a little towards a hybrid side. Cb57 is solid like a typical foeged iron. Forgiveness wise, 601 is much more forgiving than cb57, and much more further, but less spin
Totally different look than any irons out there. pretty thick topline, thin heelside and wide toe side, gives you the feel that it's a compact head when it's actrully not, but the distance is long and consistant, it's more like a i500 with a slight better sound/feel. TM 790 I personally feel like when you catch it in the wrong spot it sometimes goes 10yds too far, just my opinion though, many people like it.
Epon still the best.

Which is better? Miura or Epon?
Jason Will you be getting the new 2019 OnOff Kuro hollow irons to compare?

Hi Jason, how would you compare the forgiveness and feel of the 601 to the CB 57? cheers!

Thanks Jason, much appreciated. I have the CB's and was thinking about the 601's for the winter, here in the uk. Cheers
HI Jason, how do the 601 compare to other hollow irons, like the Ping i500 / TM 790?
