PFoZ is an international internet based Led Zeppelin tribute band. We record and film our own versions of Led Zeppelin songs and post them to RUclips for entertainment and educational purposes. Special guests include Professor Obs-Tweedle, keyboardists, the occasional rock star, and of course Nola and Zuzu.
We are:
Ivan Jakic - Guitar
George Fludas - Drums
Pete Etxenike - Bass
Not to be confused with The Zeppelin People's Front.
The tambourine is played with so much passion ...
every note is life or death in this, absolutely insane 'amateur' recording, i live by 'the perfect take is the one that almost fell apart but didn't'
I played some of your clips to my 76 yr old Dad. He's the man who introduced me to all the great music his generation listened to, and passed on to me his love for Led Zep. He loved every clip. He said he felt like he was watching them play live again 50 yrs ago....about the time I was born ...I'm looking forward to showing him this For Your Life clip soon. Carry on gentlemen, carry on!!
That’s great! Thanks, hope you both enjoy it!
Wow he nailed that lead!
He’s a bad man
Coming from a Led Zeppelin fanatic ( SEEN THEM LIVE IN 1977 AT THE CHICAGO STADIUM...WHERE JIMMY PAGE WAS SO DRUGGED UP, THEY STOPPED PLAYING AFTER 7 SONGS): Great guitars, bass and drums. The only thing missing is the kick drum sound. Only John Bonham could make the kick drum stand out. FOR YOUR LIFE truly shows how innovative Jimmy Page was and how underrated John Paul Jones was as a bass player.. If it wasn't for Jimmy's drinking and drug addiction, his sloppy live concerts took him from the best guitar player...down several notches.
Dude, that solo rules!! Never heard someone else who could emulate that right amount of "finger grease" and reckless abandon like in the recording. Page went full into Beck territory with that Strat.
Yeah it’s a great solo and definitely Page was stretching into some new territory. Thanks for listening!
Did Page play a strat on that one? During the live recording he played a LP.
Mry Hdy Page supposedly used a blue early 60’s strat on the studio version. Sounds like a strat. I like his live tone too
@@emersonswinford8949
Thanks for that. I like his sounds, but to be honest his live playing got over the top for my taste. Studio recordings were tasteful and restrained, life performances were too much.
@@emersonswinford8949 Yes, Pagey did use a blue Strat for the studio version of this tune. Emerson, you just absolutely NAILED IT here. Fantastic job!!! I come back at least twice a week to watch, listen and enjoy.
Hey there, join us for some Presence fun on Friday afternoon
Perfect song for a hot humid summer day.
Yes, it is! That tempo and vibe.
One of my favorite songs from my favorite Zep album. Yeah, I know I’m weird. To my ears, it’s the cleanest production they’ve ever had, and the most funky they ever were. And quite possibly Bonzo at his most creative among all their recorded studio albums.
mcornettmedia presence is a great record. Thanks for watching!
I agree. Bonzo’s drums never sounded so good. Most of the album burned with a rubbery funk which provided the blueprint for bands like the Chili’s .There were two weaknesses in it though in my opinion which prevents it from being a truly great album and they are 1) Plant’s vocals are under par, perhaps understandably due to his physical condition at the time and 2) Tea for one was a traditional blues type throwback which does not sit well with the rest of the albums more forward looking material. It’s not a bad track, far from it, it’s just not right for this album.
Steve S I corrected my typo above, but yes, those are valid points.
@@arnesaknussemm2427 your opinion sucks! It's a GREAT ALBUM! PERIOD! ENTIRELY! IT IS
I'm with you
Cant believe how accurate you guys sound to the originals. Carouselambra was darn good too.
Thanks! We like to mix it up with studio and live approaches.
honestly 999% that drummer, dude, what i'd pay for that control of dynamics
Can y'all do Tea For One sometime? That's their greatest blues song IMHO
Ellis Phoenix it’s in the hopper for sure, thanks!
Wow, no kidding.
Totally agree on TFO!
Oh wow nice
Yes !
I may have to go part time at work so I can have the time to watch PFOZ videos.
My son is a progressive metal drummer. I don’t know if he knows how to play slower than 215 bpm. We went hunting this past November and brought a whitetail back to our garage to process. I put on a pot of coffee and Presence to enjoy while we worked. After a while my son asked if the music was LZ. I said yes and he said “ I had no idea they were so progressive. They are amazing”. An old man’s heart grew three sizes that day.
Great story! He can watch George's ALS drum cam for the inside baseball.
There are 2 recordings from the BBC album that I consider some of the best drumming that I have ever heard, and I have seen Buddy Rich, Elvin Jones, Neil Peart, Alan Dawson, and Carl Palmer live. You Shook Me (2), followed by How Many More Times show not just chops, but complete mastery of the instrument. If you could cover them, especially the drum solo at the end of How Many more times. The double time section in You Shook Me, with the quad fill at the end of the section blows me away.
Other than Achilles, I thought Presence was just an ok album in my teens. Once again as I got older and seeing videos like this, you realize how underrated albums like Presence are. More stripped down and simpler than previous albums, but hidden complexities and genius.
Very true. Thanks for the thoughts.
I attended 3 Zep concerts with the original line up, and for years, many of us would say: "Presence is a highly under-rated album".......But did you know Presence sold out immediately upon it's release? It sure did, the 1st press/batch was gone like the wind from every place that sold it. Sold out quicker than any of their other albums. I didn't find out that fact until decades later, lol.
Awesome 👍🏻
Love the reappearance of the cut scenes with suited up George
wandering around the LZ maze together with PfoZ.
Thank you, friends!
It was delicious!
M Uhov thanks for watching!
For your...my...our...!!!
Impressive. Spot on. That’s always been one of my favorite underrated Zep songs off of a tragically underrated album. I always loved his tasteful yet minimal tremlo bar dives and the nice variety of guitar textures used on this song. I’ve never thought about the 12 string for that one section, but it makes sense and that’s such a tasty riff. Well done.
very nice.
Awesome. Great choice of using the strat. That's definitely the tone on Presence. You guys all killed it. Thanks for another great performance and for keeping us Zeppelin nerds consistently entertained. We're out here lovin' it. Cheers.
Great, thanks!
That was some stellar tambourine work there Sir! Presence is my all time Favorite Zep album. Bonzo just had a field day on that record. Pure Excellence Gentlemen! Thank You!
Thank you Jason
My all time favorite Zep number...this is gonna be great!
Bob C hope you enjoy it!
People’s Front of Zeppelin I’m sure I will 🤘🏻
GOAT🐐
Excellent. Well done.
Incredible!
Don't ya want, don't ya want some co-cain co-cain? Love the whammy bar action on this one. The guitarist is a friggen beast!
Yes he is. You can see why Rod Stewart has him in his touring band. Thanks for watching!
Haha, thank you!
Great job...Fkn always loved this one.
KEEP MAKING MORE. DO NOT STOP. DO NOT PASS GO.
Seriously guys, great work. Love the stereo guitar effect.
Paul Majewski thanks very much!
Ya soy su fan, es tan cercano a led zeppelin, no dejen de tocar siempre los escuchare!!!!
Gracias lo intentaremos!
Never will anything ever come close to comparing with Zeppelin , and y'all are absolutely fantastic
Jeffrey lee thanks!
This number was a real stand out at their 02 arena show in 2007. You guys really knocked it out of the park too.
Thanks, yeah that was song of the night for me.
one of my favorite Zep songs and great job. Great to hear the accurate Strat riffing and whammy bar dives as well as the great drums and bass. Very spot on!
Damn, you just killed me. Thanks again!!
Sounding more and more like LZ every tune! Love it!! One of my favs from that album! Always liked the way they mixed that one! Every instrument crystal clear. Great lead with the different guitar timbres!!👍👍🔥🔥🔥✌️
Tom thanks!
great job guys
So much fun to play, thanks for the lesson too🎸👍🏼
Wow! I knew this would great but damn it was better than great. Nobody has ever played this number like this except for Zeppelin themselves. Deep, rich rhythm section keeping a solid groove, the tambourine, the guitar doubling, dubs, whammy bar and solo were outstanding. You guys really out did yourselves this time.
Thanks! People seem to be liking the studio stuff, so maybe we will do studio versions of the tracks we've done live versions of.
People’s Front of Zeppelin You know I love the live improv stuff too but no matter what you do it’ll sound great.
George, Pete, someone mentioned a few comments down that if he were blind he would not know he wasn’t listening to a Led Zeppelin sound track, I think Iv been saying that for over two years now.Oh and George someone else mentioned maybe in the future your favorite LZ tune HotDog. lol
Lynda White thanks Lynda!
😬 Haha... I know. LOL
This is a badass song for sure. The solo is my favourite page solo. 😋
Leo Stone awesome!
Hard to choose, but def top ten for me!
Always great to hear there are musicians that appreciate what I believe is the greatest funk rock song...Still...hands down.
Ok . People’s Front of Zeppelin ? I f’kin love it . You guys are great . Awesome rendition - right on point . Finally , props for pulling this gem .
Thanks very much!
Great Stuff George and crew!
Thanks!
You guys are awesome! Just awesome! All hail the Mighty Led Zep!
Phillip Garcia thanks!
That snare sound was the 5th member of LZ!
So tight! Looking forward to the tambourine-only video of this!
Haha, its only 1 min long .
@@BONHAMOLOGY what? You didn't do several takes of the whole song and picked the best one?!
@@Pandamasque 😂
That drum sound is exquisite. The drummer has swing just like Bonham.
Again. Brilliant. Thats all I gotta say guys....
Harry Mitchell thanks!
Hey guys! Keep up the great work!
Amazing Bonham covers!
As usual, outstanding. One of my favourite tracks in the catalogue.
George, you and Brian Tichy are the closet we have to the Mighty Bonham. One thing, if you notice Bonham comes down strong with both hands on the 2 and 4 beats. That might perfect your Bonham Stomp Groove. Let us know how that works for you. Looking forward to hearing you try that. Thanks.
Great job, gentlemen!
Thanks!
STILL frigging awesome!!
This song is all about the groove and everyone does such a fantastic job.
Emerson really nailed this song.
I forgot all about this one. My apologies guys. One of my favs! Emerson, My man!! I gotta get my Strat fixed now. Great job on harmonizing those chords and the bends were as close as it gets! Really dig the drums and hi hat, well Everything. Thanks Again!❤❤❤
Awesome!! Great job Emerson and friends!!
Love it..thank you for making me smile today George.
Thanks Todd ! Keep smilin'!
@@BONHAMOLOGY Keep putting out these videos and I will!
Probably my favorite Zep song for this year. Seems like a different one for each of the previous 40 years I have been listening to them. May have been my favorite before. I cant recall
Can’t pick just one!
Very under-rated LZ song. Well done - fun listen.
2024!! Back for more!!
Led Hed through and through. Zep was a part of my childhood and growing up.
Want a cookie
Lemon Thank you very much for your offer (as if you could come through that offer) but my son and his girlfriend just dropped some by for me. Otherwise what the hell is that supposed to mean?!
@@strings53notlob50 Oh ok well I hope you enjoy your cookies.
Awesome👍👍👍👍
YES!!!!
Woot!
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks!
Great job guys. Hard to Express the passion we have for the sound of Zeppelin. Covering their sounds is probably as close as you'll get
George you guys nailed another one! Perfect! Ironically I was listening to this song while shaving this morning & I pull up you tube & bam your video is first on my list! I only been drumming a year now & only pray I can play as good as you one day!
Thanks Richard!
Looking forward to it!!
Very cool
Arthur D Duda thanks!
Spot on, gents! Looking rather smart on the tambourine as well, Mr. Fludas.
Why, thank you! 😬
Probably my fave song on Presence. Sadly this song was played only once live in concert, at the reunion in the O2 arena. Page got into more of his Fender days with the whammy bar. JPJ used more 8 and 10 string bass on this album. This album was an awesome foreshadowing of one of their best albums In Through the Out Door.
Your cover maximally authentic and sounds like some music science, zeppelinologia or zeppelinology!
So friggen good..
Fishtailfred thanks!
That dirty, dirty solo. Perfecto~
Outstanding to say the least
Hugues Thibault thanks very much!
Great guitar work!!! 👏👏👏👏 so many nuances...
Marcos Lelo Craveiro thanks! Emerson did a great job!
Thanks for the nice comment!
Great low end on this video when you listen with headphones. You guys sound great.
andystyles94 Styles thanks!
wow--- smooth and rich and creamy! bravo
An excellent rendition, guys! 🔥
Make it look so easy....layered funk on that one...awesome...
Yes indeed! Thank you!!
BRAVOOO!!! That was an EXCELLENT job on the solo..........and so was "the guitar army" complete with 12 string. VERY WELL DONE GUYS!!! Really enjoyed that one........THANK YOU!!!
Thanks, Emerson did an outstanding job!
‘Presence’, the album which provided the template for The Red Hot Chili Peppers.
I had to listen twice. Good going guys.
Really enjoy your covers.
Best band ever!!!
Rythym secrion, guitarist, lead singer. Best ever bar none!!
SO BADASS!!!!
Great, glad you like!
Mamma mia! Another masterpiece! You guys rule. PS: from a guitar player point of view, Emerson Swinford does a hell of a job! I love PFOZ.
Grazie mille, grande Tim!
can't help but sing roberts parts!!!this is awesome you nailed it.
WOW! One of my absolute favorites, and you guys nailed it! Each cover gets more and more impressive. Physical Graffiti is my favorite album, but Presence is Zeppelin's best album. Every cut, from beginning to end. Keep em cummin cause I'm listening to everything you do. Great sound, great attention to detail this is fast becoming my go to first channel everyday.
Really appreciate the kind words!
Hell Yeah! Great Jam! 👍👊
Perfect
leokimvideo thanks!
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
This is a great cover of a rather obscure but beloved song. Incredible job!
Fantastic as always George. Is the percussion a tambourine and shaker or just tambourine? Also, is that you playing the percussion overdub? Thanks
Omg I just realized you have the tambourine man in the video. I was listening and not watching 🤪
Haha. Yes, that's me! I don't know if there was a shaker. Hard to tell.
This is brilliant! Did I miss your version of Since I've Been Loving You? Hope not :(
No, it's should be up next. Thanks !
Loving the guest appearances but hope all is well with Ivan!
All is well, it's just been hard for him to record lately . Thanks for the concern.
Thanks as always chaps! Awesome groove
David Callahan thanks!
This is wonderful - so well done!
spot on : )
Steve McLaughlin thanks!
My fav part is the tambourine guy. Great job ! 🇨🇦✌️🎸❤️
😎
To call you guys a cover band would be insulting. This is a reincarnation and pure magic!
Thanks!
Hey guys, I went to Kingdom Come's Facebook page and asked Kenny Wolf to check you guys out.
Thanks Bob.
Splendid. Thank you.
