When your kid literally has to tell you how to stop being a bad parent, you know your doing something very wrong.
Kids will cry bad parenting just because their parents won't cater to their every demand and drop what they're doing no matter what that is, or spoil them rotten like other parents do with their kids. This particular instance yeah, buck ain't good and is rightfully called out, but people forget kids can get very spiteful when they don't get everything they want, when they want it. Even if the rules they try to enforce are reasonable, the kid still might see them as being "bad parents".
@@ShadowSkyX there's a difference between saying you're a bad parent, and e x p l a i n i n g to you how to stop being one.
The latter, and the point made in the original comment, is that when your child has thought these things through, to the point that they can explain your faults, and show you how to improve.. they should be listened to.
I tried this, when I was younger.
I've since moved away, and have barely spoken to my parents in about 3-4 years.

And like, some of the other jokes in here work. The reporter and the mayor's signs made me chuckle when I was a kid.
The one scene I really loved was the flashback scene at the belltower when he has to ring the bell again - that was unironically good in my opinion.
I haven't ever seen this movie, but "Prepare to hurt" will always stick with me from my childhood. Is it bad that I remember Chicken Little more as a KH 2 summon than for his actual movie?

What is really disturbing is that they were fine with Foxy's personality being accidentally rewritten by the aliens and not wanting to change it back. She was a "bully" character, but still...
it also falls into the trope of the tomboy or emo girl getting a "makeover for the better" and I fucking hate that.
Plus she was still a child, she had enough time to learn better, still keep her personality but become a better person
Lol you are absolutely right. It rubs me wrong in every way. Yet, i think it was meant to be more symbolic. Especially given her transformation from having a more "masculine" to embracing a feminine "sweet"; it seems very overt like it has a purpose. Lol but that still doesn't mean the symbolism here was necessarily 'good'.
What they should've done was have her return as her normal self and have her see the error of her ways and apologize to Chicken Little... and then the pig and the fox could end up together because she changed as a person.
I understand kids and classmates probably not wanting her to change back… I think that is fairly realistic… Another bully would want to take her place and everyone else would just not want to be bullied anymore… the rest would be too focused on themselves to care about what is going on with Foxy… and depending on how good her parent(s) is/are they may or may not care, or may themselves think she is easier to deal with… (which would be really sad)…it would lie with the parents to get her help in the end. (Where were her parents? Were they even worried about her?)
I think that it more conveys the message that people don’t like bullies to the point they will accept an artificial or even harmful change in the kid as improvement.
Morally the alien should have fixed her mind instead of listening to a middle school boy’s desires… someone should have spoken up and made it happen… I don’t expect an apology from Foxy because THAT doesn’t seem believable. Realistically she would be just as mean as before…
In the end though it is a movie… I don’t really care enough to argue for how a movie done in the 2000s was done… I think we need to just watch and learn from it with discernment. Realize what is being portrayed is wrong and move on.
Something I'd like to note about the ending is that in the movie, the actor meaning to represent Chicken Little is called Ace. Chicken Little's full name is apparently Ace Cluck and Chicken Little is just what everyone calls him. His father was called Ace, and HIS actual name is Buck Cluck. So he named his child after himself, and now that Chicken Little turned out not to have been insane after all, he actually gets to use his real name??
Never knew that: another strike against Buck for bad parenting!

That, that actually would explain why Buck's last name isn't "Little" like his son...
That part where chicken little doesn't tell his dad that a piece of the "sky" was in his room was honestly super sad and probably hits home for a lot of people. The father has essentially created an environment and relationship where the son can't tell him anything. He keeps it to himself because he doesn't want things to return to how they were where his father was ashamed of him. Thats really sad.

nothing to see he understands something it is not that he did not trust him but that he could not believe the thing about the sky falling would you believe that I do not believe it would you support your son saying strange things like that let's be realistic the answer would be no since we are tied to society is therefore to logic that is no longer anyone's fault that is considered normal that we do not believe in things that we have not seen and if you believe them that would already be stupid since you would be easily deceived by a child also who are you going to believe more a child or an adult the answer is obvious.

I'm saying that the child can't tell his father anything because that is the relationship the father created. Throughout the movie you can see him brush off chicken littles feelings, or see him as an embarrassment because he isn't "normal". Obviously you shouldn't believe every little thing a child says but they should be able to talk to you about what is worrying them. Listening is not the same thing as believing and agreeing.
@@loveyhope sorry it seems that you misunderstanding my point is true a father should always believe in his son but there are things that better not to believe since you do not want to be made a fool or yes, it is true that chicken little was right but I never try to prove it so chuck was not to blame for the misunderstanding in fact nobody that is the lesson of the movie.

I'm talking about the relationship between them rather than the actual events that take place. My comment had nothing to do with believing, not believing, or right and wrong, or whether or not the father would look foolish. Its not even about the message of the movie. I was simply making a comment on the relationship and the environment the father has created.

One of the saddest things in pop culture is that "One Little Slip" got forgotten about because it was in this movie...it is a BOP
I loved this movie when I was little and still is nostalgic for me and makes me laugh. "One Little Slip" was one of my favorite songs, and I still rock out and sing along when I listen to it.
I had no idea The Bare Naked Ladies sang it. Those guys are pretty famous here in Canada.

I consider what buck does to be a crime, How he goes to such lengths to make his own kid scared to tell the truth, Thats just some straight up freaking child abuse right there.

At least Stoick from “How To Train Your Dragon” actually CARED about his son and improved as a parent. Literally everybody who watches this movie HATES Buck and I’m not surprised. In real life the closure scene definitely wouldn’t be that simple.
Growing up with an abusive stepmom, I just feel really bad for him ☹️ Doesn't help that my dad passed away, making the abuse worse...
Disney has even had other films that had rapid reconciliation and it still was more believable than Chicken Little. Though it probably helps that in the other film the father actually cared and didn't just grumble until the finish line about having to care.

Although He Calls Hiccup That "He Is Not Longer His Son" But Happily Hiccup Is Still His Son No Matter What.
He's an imperfect father who really just wants his son to succeed but doesn't know how to support him. He doesn't know how to be an appropriate role model. They should definitely get some family therapy. You could tell he does care simply by the fact that he tries. It's not like he doesn't love his son.

For people to be selling a board game, movie, mugs and everything related to Chicken, these people would need the authorization of use of image.
And since Chicken Is a kid, then his father *AGREED* to all of this being published and Is *PROFITING* from his son's legitimate and his "legitimate" embarrassment.

Disney, especially in the Walt era, can be very cruel for what is family entertainment. Can't forget Pinnochio where the bad kids who drink and smoke become donkeys pretty much forever.

The story would follow a female chicken suffering from paranoia who, as a result, caused several panic outbreaks in her hometown. Not only becomes a freak to the town, but becomes unforgiven to her father. In order to build her confidence, she was sent to a summer school known as Camp Yes-You-Can where she met her friends who were the same as in the final product, although the Ugly Ducking was at this point a male. Unbeknownst to Chicken Little and her friends, the sheep who ran the camp were wolves in disguise who were plotting to eat all of the students. Chicken not must fave her fears to become a hero, but must proove her dad she can make him proud. A basic Coming-of-Age story that Disney later scrapped.
@@kittykittybangbang9367 That movie sounds both incredibly interesting and incredibly ahead of its time. I mean I'm sure the execution would have been absolutely terrible, but you could easily modify that into a horror movie about discrimination against the mentally ill with a hard R rating.
The problem is that cruelty wasn't intentional. Look at Dumbo, Look at Cinderella, Look at Hunchback of Notre Dame. THOSE had intentionally cruel elements that worked excellently.
Yeah, this movie and Tangled were what made me realise my mom was a complete narcisistic asshole. That part where Chicken Littles dad sighs just cause his son wants to talk to him sums up many of my interactions with my mother

18:00 you don't believe him because what he said is insincere. He said "I'm sorry that you *FELT* that you had to earn that." He is literally saying "I'm sorry that you felt that way." and not "I'm sorry that you had to earn my respect/love." which is literally what Chicken Little had to do to be accepted and be able to talk to his Dad without getting sighed at or being seen as a burden.

Honey, I know what abusive is and Buck wasn’t abusive. He may not have been the best dad, but he’s redeemed himself eventually. Plus, there’s a deleted scene where he was protecting his son from reporters. Also, there we’re probably therapists that had that mindset and he’s listened to the wrong ones.
@@savannahhague4989 there's a deleted scene. That proves he's not really that bad. And it's probably not really his fault anyway. Because therapists who are never mentioned probably gave him bad advice. So it's their fault.
So he's not actually borderline abusive, he just took some bad advice that seriously harmed his child mentally. And it's not his fault that his actions messed up his kid.

So the entire town is thrown into a chaotic frenzy, unintentionally causing destruction in their panicked state and nearly getting innocent bystanders injured or killed in the process, and _then_ they decide to ask what's wrong and then blame it on the guy who sounded the alarm over a supposed non-issue, not to mention heckling and ostracizing him for a good year for an incident they overreacted to?
I will say this: Chicken Little was way ahead of its time with its commentary on social media.
I always wondered how foxy parents must have felt about the change in their child.
Seeing how dense most characters are in this movie they probably wouldn’t give it a thought and think she is going through a phase.

So glad to see someone else is bothered by what happened to Foxy. I like to imagine at some point in the future there's another alien invasion and the new her screams and runs away rather than trying to fight back resulting in Runt becoming pork chops. His last thought being the old Foxy would have tried to save him.

I'm glad you said something about Foxy Loxy because that bothered me too. Something about taking a tomboy and saying that she's better when she's brainwashed to be stereotypically girly is off-putting. It's worse knowing the alien guy offered to return her to how she was and Runt stopped him because HE liked the "new" Foxy Loxy better.

The funny thing with this movie is that they actually cut a few scenes of Buck actually trying to be a good dad like a scene where he tries to cook his son breakfast on a morning cooking show with it being interrupted by the announcement of the 1 year anniversary and the announcement of the movie.
In another it was a different version of the opening where Buck tells the reporters to scram and was very assertive in getting the townsfolk away. Why these scenes were cut? I don’t know. A lot of them were also nearly finished being animated too
Why didn't they keep the alternate version of the opening? To make Chicken Little's life seem worse?
@@TuesdaysArt yes and to make Buck seem neglectful rather than someone who's giving an honest effort and trying his best to be a single father to his son. Honnestly, many of those scenes with buck are somewhat understandable like him trying to tell his son to blend in which is something I think most parents in this situation would do because well, him doing this caused a lot of destruction, the issue came with balancing these types of scenes with Buck giving an effort to be there for him and be at least an ok Dad. This movie could've been great if they had both chicken little and Buck go on different emotional journeys at the same time both trying to mend their relationships
I hate to break it to you, but in one of those scenes, Buck Cluck said “Chicken Little is crazy.”
FINALLY! SOMEONE WHO AGREES WITH ME! Buck was a horrible Father and the whole time I wanted to hug Chicken Little. Even when he apologized I never forgave him.

It just kinda baffles me how anyone can look at this character and be like "Yeah, that's a GREAT father!"
Sometimes people just consume media without reallising or thinking too much about the implications of what is actually going on.
This movie unironically has one of the most interesting takes of aliens and their tech.
I've held great resentment for Chicken Little's dad for the longest time. His shallowness, his negligence, his lack of support in any and all of Chicken Little's endeavors..... he was one of the first animated characters that made me think: "Wow, he's horrible." Buck's "redemption" was not believable at all and left a younger me very bitter about the resolution.
Glad to know you're just as frustrated at him.
On another note, this was a hilariously great reaction. It was fun being angry at Buck while you got angry at him, too. Ah, if you're ever up for movie recommendations, I'd definitely suggest: "The Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'hoole" or "Wolfwalkers". Both great movies.

@@nobinary2296 My friend has a horrible, for lack of a better word, father. He failed to protect her in ways you can only have nightmares of. It took her 26 years to see it because people filled her head with the idea that he was a great father, simply because he kept her in his home after her (again for lack of a better word) mother left.

It’s kinda depressing how much I relate to Chicken Little lol, the being hurt emotionally is common and the thing with parents that don’t give a crap, but which suddenly praise you when you do good in something that society deems impressive too
Everyone knows that the animation was definitely “good” for its time, and everyone in the town is an asshat, but this movie is so bad it’s good

This is why I like the dad in Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs more. Even if he didn't encourage his son, at least he didn't put Flint and his crazy experiments down. 🙂
Edit: Just to clarify, I still like this movie. Ace, Fish, and the aliens are adorable.
Where Buck put his son down out of embarrassment, Tim only tried to keep Flint grounded in reality, encouraging him to work a real job rather than waste his life on doomed inventions, but also stepping aside when Flint gave his word he had the food replicator (I’m not gonna even attempt to spell that IKEA sounding curse) was under control. While both Buck Cluck and Tim Lockwood were seen struggling to be good dads, at least Tim actually seemed like he cared about Flint and was genuinely trying to support him instead of attempting to spell it out to others without actual effort for the sake of saving face.
@@ShawndaPrawn yes, in movies like "Cloudy with a chance of meatballs" and "How to train your dragon" while the dad doesn't really understands his son's point of view, interest,passion,personality etc. You can't deny how munch Tim cares for Flynn or that Stoic does love Hiccup. But with Chuck i never felt that parental love.

And other great thing about Tim he actually joins in some of the experiments as the test subject and doesn't get mad or hold the failures against Flint afterwards.

Trust me, if you think this movie was bad, originally it wasn't supposed to be. Director Mark Dinal (Cats Don't Dance, The Emperor's New Groove) had originally meant to make a more heartwarming adaptation of the story where instead of aliens, it was wolves in disguised as prey critters, similar to the original story. And the dad while still being a jerk, saw much earlier that he was wrong in how he spoke to Chicken Little, who was originally a girl not a boy.
But apparently, Disney was having their thumbs up their behinds, and decided to ignore these nice ideas and instead put in their own agenda. Watching this deleted scene shows how much they screwed up.

I remember watching this as a kid and my dad was so pissed off at Buck through the whole movie. The movie itself was funny, but it was even funnier with my dad throwing his hands up and yelling "WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU???" at the screen whenever Buck was being a piece of shit.

The dad in this movie reminded me SO much of my own father. It made it SO uncomfortable watching this with my family as a kid. The dad is an asshole who doesn’t ever listen to his son or create an environment where his son feels like he can confide in him or feel safe telling him how he feels.
That was my own childhood and it was just……too real. And of course he didn’t see the similarities. But I sure did….

I view my Dad as someone to respect but not really someone I should open up to, well at least not yet. My father has knowledge and wisdom which I do use in my day to day life. Most of my morals came from him.
But there are moments where I wish I can open up to him. He exudes this no bullshit attitude and it shows. One of the things he taught me is to separate information into a need, have and nice to know.
I don't even know if he'd understand me. He was already an exceptional person since before I was born. When I realized that I was the son of a very, very exceptional person well that cut deep and it still does.
I put on a facade. I suspect if I ever open up, he'd not like that. Well, if I ever opened up to myself to I'd hate that.
Just to clarify, my father is not a an asshole or something, that title belongs to my Mom. He's just the no bullshit man that leads the way. I just want to open up to him before he passes away.

The highlight of this movie when my brother and I were younger was always the soundtrack. “The End of the World (As We Know It)” playing when the aliens first arrive was always iconic
I think as I got older, I had my opinion turned about the movie being “bad,” but it was definitely a Saturday morning favorite that I rewatched many times over. The motto “Today is a new day” is pretty comforting, and helped out when I was stressed
To me it also feels like a big reference. And how Buck being as narcissistic as he is, thinks he's changed when he hasn't shows, just because one thinks there better doesn't necessarily mean they are better.
The comedic absurdity of this movie still holds up years later.... as does our hatred for Buck
I feel like chicken little gets more hate than it deserves, probably because it was a disney film and they got something much closer to a Dreamworks film. You are 100% right though, the dad is terrible.

I didn’t know I needed to see a Scotsman being critical of a Disney movie, but now I have and it is great.
I can say without a doubt in my mind that this is the most aggravating animated movie Disney has ever made. Almost every single character is annoying or unlikable. The structure is a mess. The visuals have not aged well. Half of the jokes are outdated or delivered poorly. The editing is just barely passable. The pacing is all over the place. The dialogue is a little clunky in spots. The soundtrack is actually pretty good, but that's only because it doesn't feature any original songs. The absolute best I can say about it is that it's at least trying to be a movie, unlike other bad films I've seen, and it does have a few decent moments, but it still fails overall pretty miserably.
My condolences to you for attempting to sit through this spectacular garbage fire of an experience.
As I've thought since first seeing it as a kid, the only enjoyable parts featured Fish and the "Yo" Porcupine dude with the shades.

What frustrates me is that CL is actually quite intelligent and creative with a lot of ingenuity too, but his strengths are never acknowledged. Instead he's berated for them.
That theme was acknowledged more in the original draft of the movie; the mom (who was alive in that version) had a whole speech about how her daughter (Chicken Little was originally a girl) had creativity that the father wasn't appreciating.

Apparently this movie did not flop in Japan, where it was mildly successful. It makes sense as a lot of the behaviour that looks odd elsewhere - such as Buck being so concerned about what the neighbours think of his family, and Chicken Little being ostracised by the town over ONE mistake, are quite normal in Japan.
Compare the townspeople and the parents of this movie to the townspeople and the parents in the beginning of Kotoura San, it’s almost like you’re seeing double.
Buck Cluck isn’t some disturbing outlier, he’s an archetype of a toxic Japanese father.

Chuck treated chicken little like he was going to dip out when he heard his girl was pregnant but she died during pregnancy or some shi so he felt obligated to stick around.
Basically he seems like a scumbag character forced into fatherhood but its also sad knowing how many fathers are like him in Real life.
HAHa ahaaa.... "He might have a he might have a mental illness you don’t know that! He was scared and asked for help!” exactly what happened with two of my family members, I tried to ask for help and they mocked me and threatened to throw me into a mental asylum to see what "real depression" is. That stuff really stays with you and makes you distrust your family and others, still kind of affects me to this day. To say I could relate to that scene of him hiding the "sky piece" is an understatement. Bad guardians/adults are horrible to grow up with and REALLY mess you up. I didn't really believe how easily he forgave his dad, but my mom (who was also emotionally abused) tried to use it as an example to help me... cope I guess? I dunno. But yeah. This is just me rambling.
As a teen, I was threatened to be thrown in a psych ward too, for being too emotional. My mom said "do you need to go to the hospital or to an audition?" because I was crying. She wonders why I like acting now... and eventually did learn to control my emotions better.
I think CL forgave his dad easy because he's just a kid. Plus he doesn't seem like the kind of guy to hold grudges even if he has a right too

But people that support you, that are there but can make a sense of what is marely situational problems that are holding you back caused by others. And real mental health struggles. Chances are. You not crazy. You are marely picking up other people's toxic personality. And that is becoming to much to process. Its just the bandwidth around you. You could also ask to see a clinical physician to help you out. And free yourself from blackmail. And false diagnosis. You are probably suffering the bad end of abuse. You need to explain to any of the problems you may have with your parents and family. And if anything is severe to the point of a crimes done against you. You need to report these crimes to local law enforcement. You have to be brave standup for yourself and get assistance for yourself.

I think that the movie is supposed to be a brutal commentary on the stupidity of society and people.
You might be right, but any good commentary would show you, in one way or another, that what these people are doing is stupid or wrong or immoral. Usually, by having the story try to correct the behavior, or point out what's wrong about it or the negative effects of it. Sometimes it can be done by calling the behavior ok and then taking it to the extreme to help the audience draw the conclusion you intend for them to. This movie goes the first route with the way their society and the dad respond to what's happening and generally devalue some of these kids... but we don't see that with foxy. The movie treats it like it's normal and everyone goes about their lives. So, if the foxy thing is commentary, then they're being very inconsistent and I would call it bad storytelling.

The adults in this story act like children and it's the kids job to forgive them and be the bigger person. It's weird how often I see this in old movies from my childhood. It's messed up that I didn't see that . The adults who wrote the story did however.
In sum ways it kinda perfectly describes our current world and society as in the younger generation has more sense and responsibility.

I remembered loving this movie back when i was a child. But man... if it was nowadays... I WOULD HATE THAT DAD. Seriously, that dad, is such a hateful being, and he is such a bad parent, i dunno how i didn't noticed when i was a child... but maybe it's because i... wasn't that empathetic back then... i was kinda selfish back then. Now that i am a teen, and has a literal bad relationship with my parents, i can't help but say, this is one of the worst dads i've seen in a movie. Not even Ging is that bad, and he left his son at 3 years old.
Also, i thought this would be a critic towards the Chicken Little movie, about how the movie was bad, blah-blah-blah, i'm just used to see that people hate on things i used to love as a kid. But, anyways, this movie is crazy as heck and i love it.

Actually, I think that's the reason I even enjoy this film- it's Invader Zim with anthropomorphic animals. Which was also ahead of time in depicting the nature of the world we live in today... Along with still-relevant social commentary.

@@blackheartzerotheundergrou3225 It was very early on, when executives didn't meddled and for example removed the Henny Penny's mother, genderswapped Penny and Duckling because "fear is more frowned upon from a boy" until another exec said "Boys aren't scaredy, make him more bold" which defeat whole point of genderswap in first place. The whole movie was in development misdirected hell. Even Buck was more likable character in earlier drafts, but executive didn't believed that you need in kids movie long character development, instead it should be jokes.
And best thing was when during genderswap executive argued that Penny is unrelateble for young boys, because she is girl, but somehow young girls are 'okay with watching male protagonist' I don't know from under what rock they took that downright sexist executive, because it's embarrasing coming from anyone working at Disney. Was Ariel a boy ? Was Pocahontas a man ? What about Esmeralda, what about Cinderella, what about Chiara in Lion King 2 and dozen of other female characters all bundled under massive term "Disney Princesses". Disney had always loads of female characters in lead or in major role. Far more then it does have males, and somehow young boys watched it without issue for decades.
Whole project was a trainwreck.

It's sad, I loved this movie as a kid and I rewatched it once as a teenager, and as a teen I remember actually being really invested in the "closure" scene where Chicken Little confronts his dad. Their whole relationship hit way too close to home for me throughout the movie, and watching the confrontation I really wished I had a dad like that, I still thought he was forgiven too easily but at least he gave enough of a shit to listen and try to be better when his kid called him out. And looking back now I'm like, the bar was so low lol. This guy isn't even a good father and his apology was weak af.

I remember going into a theater to watch this as a child with my dad. It was some really old theater that was like built in the 60s and every time I go past that place on the road, all I think of is this movie. You know how you get really weird (but not in a good way) vibes from some forms of nostalgia? This was one of those.
At first, I kind of liked this story as a kid. Then when I grew more, I learned and subsequently agreed that the townspeople are a piece of shit for milking just one tiny little episode of a possibly mentally handicapped person. Like JFC. Enough already. And Buck couldn’t have come to his defense? Like call them out on being total douche bags to someone who is presumably between 5 and 10 years old? Even the fact that they are even MILKING this and instead of saying “oh he’s a child, let’s just move on” to “haha this dumb kid thought the sky was falling, let’s make a book, and a movie, and a bumper stickers and...” even to the point where Buck actually acknowledges that they went overboard. But not once did he lift a feather to call them out on their bullying. And then you said that the town completely overreacted and I totally agree now that you mention it. This movie gets worse each time I revisit it.

This film is unfiltered AND unhinged. For some reason I binged this in repeat to remember every detail of it when I was a kid.
Goes to show that a father doesn't always have to be drunk, constantly yelling at or beating his kids, or even be straight-up mean to be a terrible father (the third of which Buck is, to be fair). Don’t even need to burn the side of their kid’s face ( *cough* Fire Lord Ozai). He just has to be ignorant and dismissive of his kid (until that kid begins to succeed), unwilling to stand up for them in moments of crisis, and when confronted about his actions by said kid, blame outside circumstances for his behavior. I especially love the fact that he says stuff like, “If your mother were here, she’d know what to do.” Hell yeah, she would; she’d divorce you, file a restraining order, take full custody of the kiddo, leave you penniless, and move as far away as possible, because you, sir, don’t deserve to be called a father, let alone “Dad.” Fuckin’ hell.

This movie is an absolute trip. Not necessarily a good one, but a trip nonetheless.
I hated Buck. He was an awful father. Instead of supporting his son, he became one of the people who made Chicken Little seem like a joke to the rest of the town. He only supported the kid once he actually did something to gain "reputation" points, and that caused Chicken Little to be fearful of letting it go back to him being himself.
If I were to suggest a different movie for you to watch, I feel like you might like Flushed Away! I thought it was a good movie back when I was younger
Same. Legit it was so awful that Chicken didn’t actually receive any love or support UNTIL he got the winning hit in the baseball game. And once the incident occurred again, his dad IMMEDIATELY turns his back on him. And has the freaking nerve to say “and I’m sorry if I ever made you feel you had to earn my love” Like he even tried discouraging him from playing baseball, or thinking he could do amazing things. This was a movie from my childhood and me and my sister loved it a lot, ngl. We as kids did hate the townspeople and the father too. I think this only think I didn't pick up on until later in life was the pig forcing the fox to stay brainwashed, yikes.
