Cap Haitian has the same housing architecture as New Orleans. After the revolution in 1809, thousands of whites and free blacks went to Louisiana. It added to the culture of that area such as Mardi Gras, food ect. Many black and white New Orleanians trace their roots to Haiti. If Cap Haitian had the economic investment necessary, it would rival New Orleans in architecture but would go beyond because of all the historical sites in the area. Thanks! AT for showing my country in its true form!

I'm confident that if she spends more time and continues being unafraid to make errors, African Tigress will be conversational in Kreyòl in a couple of months, fluent within a year.

Wow! AT has just outdone herself on this one. Your vlogs are out of this world. You love Haiti and Haitians love you more for showing the positive side of such a beautiful place. By the way, your creol is getting better and better. If you spend 3 more months in Haiti, I believe you’ll be able to have a full conversation in creol with the locals.❤

Kalipsoisland, you do know the French used to take enslaved haitian's to Trinidad plantation right? that's the reason our creole is still well preserved in part of tobago

She’d have to marry a Ayisyen men, live in the country for atleast 5+ years and then become a citizen before she can actually own land and partake in political things such as voting etc. It’s in our constitution. I would love to have her there as well 🥰
