Hi George and Sue lovely to go around this village scary road lol. I remember on a drive with my husband once we found an abandoned village with goats living in the stone houses.🐐🐐
Hi George, great video as always. Can you go to Governor's Beach please? Also can you do a video down the Protaras strip from the Yiasemi meze and grill down the Cavo Greco Road please. Thanks
So that's my village! Church key on top right at entry gate! The first house on the left as you enter the village was for the priest and the warehouse was the village shop! Past the curch 3rd house was my grandparents just a wall left. I'm from the Iordanous family currently in Germany
@@CYPRUSINSIGHT my grandparents did. I'd love to go there with you to do another video give you info plus the curch at the top. I was there from 1979 to 1984 and used to go at night to the top church walk down to the big curch. I lived in limassol
@@CYPRUSINSIGHT also my grandad built the road that comes down from pano to kado kivides past the cemetery. Will you go to platres my cousin owns the trout farm psylodendro
Hi! I tried my very limited Greek and Google Translator skills and the sign on the building read (which it probably doesn't in reality):sunerg at pistot etlireia. According to Google translator this means "Credit Units". I gather the word Credit Union might make more sense as it appears to be some kind of non-profit money lending institution. Could this once have been a place for locals to borrow money for their farms etc? Anyone with more knowledge of greek know what the sign actually means? Be interesting to see if we can find out. It was an interesting building and trip. Thanks for sharing!
No ice cream parlours no convieniently located benches, dont know how you made this vlog! I hope you had appropriate foot ware on? You need to be carefull with you knee!
Archaeology of dreams of people gone but perhaps still alive. Sad but fascinating. Thank you George and Su.
