Cupboards and closets are more important than I realized when I bought my house years ago. Hindsight being what it is, I'd like to go back in time and buy a house with wall to wall closets, bookcases, and pantries!
Andrea, I love your happy personality and your work ethic. You and Omar have a delightful relationship and Simon is amazingly talented and a hard worker. Always look forward to your videos. Hope you feel better soon.
Thank you! Im feeling better now actually. I just usually get a cold when there is a change of seasons. I think Im getting used to the climate as well. Im very glad you enjoy the content and us :) hahaha.

I started from your very first video 2 weeks ago and I’ve finally made it to the present! Yay!!!! I really enjoy your videos. Is your Mum ok? Haven’t seen her on the last several videos. I’m glad Simon is being smart in the heat and not over doing it. You need to be careful as well while you’re on antibiotics. Much love from Ohio, USA ❤️
Hello Omar,Andrea, Simon, Mum and fur family, I hope you are all of good health. Andrea you're skills are just amazing is there anything you can't do lol ❤ Your have such an amazing time on the motorbike, before I became bedridden I used to have a black Yamaha 125cc, I used to love going everywhere on it, I just love the feeling and the freedom you can't beat it, here in the UK you have to do your CBT (basic training) which takes a full day to get,and lasts a few years. I love watching how you make furniture from scratch, will you be making furniture for the new build? Sending love to you all 😊❤
Hey Sonya! That sounds like a lot of fun! Simon has a Yamaha too but a 600cc haha. Massive thing! Hence why we are getting into it. Its very popular here, a weekend thing to go with friends off-road to the countryside and then go for lunch. Really enjoyable and I see the appeal. After 2 years of searching, we finally found one we are happy with and I think it was well worth it. Here you dont have to for a 125cc but for anythign bigger, you do have to do a theory and a practical test. So its handy to learn first on a 125cc and then take it from there. I'll add question to the list!

I only found your channel a few weeks ago and have just managed to catch up - it's so wonderful what you guys are doing out there, i'm loving watching you both build skills and watching Simon's craft. Is Simon full time working with you? It seems so - you are so lucky to having him, his stone work is amazing!

(2) Besides working in England and other, would you guys ever permanently relocate back to England? The renovation is coming along really well! Congratulations! (3) Would you ever consider doing another reno like this? Love From Lani - out of Sunny South Africa (Living in Springs near Johannesburg)
Thank you Doris! We are now super accustomed to our cupboard and its such a nice addition! We cannot wait until a wardrobe is completed and we are that much more comfortable.
Hope you feel better soon Andrea. I love your varied stuff you do on the farm and getting to see the cats. Glad Simon had a break and the build is coming on beautifully. Omar and you are doing a great job on the wardrobe. Have a lovely day.
With the rebar task, if you measure between each bend, and set a load of straight rebar up, put a thin strip of duct tape on the location of the bend across all of them, cut between tape of the next rebar as you go through so its attached to the rebar still, then you only have to measure once. Should make things like that much faster. I would suggest a white tape 😅

I have never seen the way you treat the corners of the build before. Is this a portuguese way to build as i have never seen it here in England. Love your videos & what you do. Welcome any recipes the meals you prepare always look delicous.Thankyou.
Hi there, Ive almost caught up to date and Im really enjoying watching your progress. Well done! All your hard work on the house and the garden is really showing up beautifully. Simon is such a craftsman. Im in awe of his talent. I love the relationship between you all. You and your mum Aureliana (such a pretty name) hae earned so much in caring for your winderful garden. I would like to know the recipe for the flat breads you make. Also, your English is excellent Andrea. How did you learn it so well? Be well and keep up the good work, Susan
Don't worry, I also talk to myself. When I was doing the end of the month bills once (it was late in the evening), my husband told me that while he was lying in bed, he heard me adding and subtracting numbers to myself out loud for about 30 minutes. I just cannot do math in my head without expressing myself verbally.
A "Cheater Bar" ie a piece of steel pipe with a hole just big enough to slip the rebar into would give you extra leverage to bend the rebar as the bar shortens.
I would rethink the idea of water heating coils in the fireplace. Fireplaces are pretty and romantic but are incredibly inefficient and the worst way to heat a space. Even if you have an external combustion air source (if you don't you will really regret it) you will burn way more wood than the most inefficient stove. Source: My sole source of heat for 9 years was wood. I've experienced the whole range. Great job for your first cabinet. One of the first design decisions is "inset or overlay". You ended up with overlay, where the doors and drawer fronts cover the casing, for. This is my preferred way, inset is so much harder to get looking right. I use a 3-4 mm gap between all doors and drawers for a clean look. Once you have them in place the hanging closet will look funny without a door but for the life of me I can't see how to make one work. I'm enjoying watching you learn, brings me back to that time in my life.
Simone Giertz designed a cool folding clothes hanger that would be great for your tiny closet space. She has a tube channel. Too bad you didn’t know about this earlier. Maybe would help in other spaces.
She did and they are very cool! Really like her content. I did have a look at them but they are a bit pricey (as expected as its a new design). The width though its slightly longer than a hanger so it would be fine!

How does Simon work on your buildings with out any payment. Will he have his own home to live there with you? Does Omar work part time in his work. Are you able to Lyle on what you make from your RUclips channel. Would you have time to go out and get a job if you needed to. Do you ever plan to have any children. Is Simon married. Lots of questions for your Q&A
Only VERY bright people talk to themselves. Solution have a child and then educate them with your amazing knowledge. Believe me by the time they are 3 they think they know better.🤣🤣🤣This is how clever parents made VERY clever kids.
You can definitely eat onions fresh. Curing them will only make sure they are well preserved and ready to be stored for months. gardenbetty.com/how-to-harvest-and-cure-your-onion-crop/#:~:text=No.,that%20you%20want%20to%20store.
Hey.... my name was up top, now its at the bottom!! What? Just bc i was a cheerleader for Simon and Mum!!!???!! Fine! You and Omar are the BEST!! Now move my name!! Your onions turned out great!!! Don't forget to plant your cloves in mid to late October. You can plant them in the same bed as the onions came out of. You can get your turnip seed greens planted in the green house and great big round orange pumpkins too! Don't forget regular Russet potatoes. Not the red. The big ones you can bake and put putter, salt, pepper, grated cheddar or sharpe cheddar cheese, sour cream, some people put bacon bits(they make me sick) but i love real bacon chopped up on them and sunflower seeds. Crazy people fill theirs with chili, cheese and sour cream! Of course i have a crazy nephew that puts butter, salsa, cheddar cheese and sour cream. He calls it a "Pot-taco" (potatoe-taco) with his 10 different hot sauce! Crazy! 😊😊😊😊😊😊✝️🙏🙏🙏🙏❤❤❤❤🇺🇸🇵🇹👣🍍☘🌻🌻🦬😎🤗
AW Bless Melinda, I just rearranged them in alphabetical order. haha. I'll move your name haha. I will definitely make a mental note (or possibly a very well written one before I forget) about the garlic. Thats 100% something that we are going to do. Apart from adding a ton more onions next year. I still think I'm doing them in plugs because from seed, they cna be a pain... maybe experiment and asee what happens. Ill have a look at potatoes as well. I wanted to plant some cypriot potatoes because they taste phenomenal as well. Highly recommend if you can find them. We fill bake potatoes with tuny mayo and corn with cheddar or baked beans (very British). Potaco sounds good! Im really hoping this talk about Wintery stuff doesnr bring the winter quicker! But our trees are turning brown already!!! The summer went too fast!!!
@@TheIndigoEscape for you it went fast! I watched people plant and grow and water and pick and pull and eat on RUclips all summer! It's been a terrible year for me health wise. So next year.....I'm hoping to be super woman!!, All them little plants I bought just died. The Cucumbers last. Sweet Potatoes are the easiest to grow and that's a Summer growth. I planted regular potatoes too. Just however many you want to plant of regular, s it them on your counter, or green house, wait till they get them little roots coming off. Cut them in half. Bury where the little root /white thing is up. And it will Com through to a thick green leaves. Water whenever. They say when the leaves die, the potato crop is ready.(talk to the local farmers) I haven't looked at mine yet. I planted 1 sweet potato in a raised flower bed! I put 4 slips in it and buried it just below the dirt. Well it had compost and peat moss mixed in the soil! I have vines growing every which way. Haven't checked them either. I will soon and let you know!
Was that Y'all that took lessons from that professional and Andrea was better on the course? If it wasn't Y'all, the female was better on the course. My Mother would kill me if i drove up in her yard on a motorcycle! My cousin was killed when i was 10 and he was 13 on the back of his friends bike. His friend survived.
I’m so sorry to hear you lost your cousin in a motorcycle accident. The lessons we took was more for balancing and it was on a electric bike but it will help with motorcycle as we are mostly going to do off-road which is usually done at 30-40mph max.

Would it be easier to put the jig into the table vice when bending for a tighter pull, or is the angle wrong? You’ll have muscles after that!
Unfortunately it wouldn’t hold because you need the jig to be hold on both extreme so while you bend the rebar, the jig doesn’t turn with it.

Lots of questions for your Q&A
Simon is married to Andrea’s sister.
Thanks Sandra, we'll add it to our questions list!
Only VERY bright people talk to themselves. Solution have a child and then educate them with your amazing knowledge. Believe me by the time they are 3 they think they know better.🤣🤣🤣This is how clever parents made VERY clever kids.
What is the name of the village you live in or near in central portugal?

Be careful with the cats and that big stone just propped up please.
It’s been cemented in, don’t worry.
ONIONS:: They must be cured before eating. It is during the curing process that the sugars are released.
You can definitely eat onions fresh. Curing them will only make sure they are well preserved and ready to be stored for months.

Hey.... my name was up top, now its at the bottom!!
@@TheIndigoEscape GARLIC CLOVES IN OCTOBER.
Em Portugal só se esfolam coelhos ...😂
:( Nao percibi isso Paes , disculpa
@@TheIndigoEscape You talk in the video about skinning cats and I jokingly told you that in Portugal they only skin rabbits.
ahhh! hahah...Agora entendi!. Obrigada
