The Condor Bisonte is a fantastic knife in my opinion. I worked it for a few hrs and no hot spots. It also stayed plenty sharp. The Smith's Pack Pal Tinder Maker was a huge win as well. it's extremely fast at making very fine Tinder.
Thank you so much for your review and specially due I saw you also shown not only the Bisonte but the Selknam.... two of my designs.
I so much appreciate your words and comments on my knives.
So glad to see are your favorites.
Bes regards
Walter
the designer IoI
Brother they both really are 2 of my favorites. I carry the Bisonte all the time, it is freaking amazing and the selknam is beast that can bushcraft and use it alot too. I for some reason missed putting your name as the designer in the specs. I'll make sure the selknam review has it. It's coming up real soon. You killed it on the designs 👏.
@@ChuckinSteel 🙏🙏🙏 and there is the New Selknam, with some modifications. 😉
@@wm_survival what???? Really... I gotta get my hands on one. I'm excited now!
A buddy of mine has a Condor very similar and absolutely loves it. I’ve got to hold it. It’s a brilliantly made knife. Thanks for sharing this brother!
I like it alot, especially for the price. Thanks for watching 🙏👊
Condors has some nice finish on their blades. Those liners make it pop a bit. Love it 🇺🇸 great video.
Yes sir they do. That hammered Finnish is amazing and thank you brother. 🙏
Wow, the Smith cheese grater. That thing is cool. I definitely want one of those. Yours is the only channel I've seen that has used it or reviewed it. I found this video while looking for Bisonte reviews. I subscribed about six months ago when I became interested in slingshots. I do like that Bisonte.
Thanks, brother. I need to do more knife stuff. It's been a while. Thar grater is pretty dang kool and the bisonte is pretty amazing.
I use a nutmeg grater to get some really great tinder and costs a lot less ,looks like a great knife ,God bless you and your family. Lee
Yeah, that's a great alternative. This thing is a good idea bc it can carry your tender all in one. I think I paid $5 for it, but I don't know what they go for now. Thanks for watching and commenting. God bless you and yours as well, brother 🙏
Beautiful knives brother! That Smith’s box looks like it works well and could be handy to have.
Thank you brother, 🙏 and yes sir, if you was trying to beat the rain it would be amazing. It's fast and keeps the tinder dry while your doing it.
So glad to have found your channel. Your information and skills are top shelf as well. Condor and Tops knives are my go to for all things woods craft related and you have really caught the attention of this old country boy! Best of luck to you and your endeavors, as I look forward to your continued reviews! God Bless young man....
Thank you so much brother 🙏. I been wanting to do the tops B.O.B. but so many video of it out there. I hope to do it soon tho. I have more condors to do too. Thanks again 🙏 👊

Thank you for watching brother 🙏
I am a huge condor fan! That is a beautiful blade my brother!
Thanks brother..🙏 it's my favorite knife that condor makes now in the sub 6 inch range 100%
Did you see my blade I had Wyatt make. He done a video on it. It's gonna be awesome. If you wanna swing it some just let me know.
@@ChuckinSteel I'll check it out for sure!
Hi! Brand new subscriber here and I have to say I like the cut of your jib. Your style is just what I've been looking for, not too much hype, just the facts without the babble. Straight to the point is a good thing, and you just helped me on my decision about trying a Condor, and this is Bisonte the one I just ordered. Funny, I have a Bison patch on my main carry pack, so this must have been meant to be. Thanks and happy 2022!
Awesome brother, I'm glad to have your sub. Im also Stoked that you like the channel and I pay for everything and always will so my goal (when it comes to knives) is to help others in the decision of buying knives and not waist money. I have a video coming today on the TOPS B.O.B. and another In a week or so on the Brushwolf.
@@ChuckinSteel Oh man, you be dangerous, did somebody tell you I was looking at BOB? Oh My...

Thanks brother 🙏 great knife and the rompers are great too.
badass knife brother looks like itll handle anything you can throw at it and that little cheese grader tinder maker worked like a charm!
Thanks brother, 🙏 is that thing not amazing. I tried to see if a cheese grader would work and it fails. The shap of the blade opening matter alot I assume.
Yeah now that's a beaut of a blade for sure! I love this style blade for sure! I hope the knives I make are like these! Thanks for sharing your blade and those pakpals from Smith's are sweet! I put my scrapper part in my 5" vise with a Ziploc bag and make ton that way! I think I made a video of it too...great video Mr.JB! Cheers, Jerbs #22ADAY 👍🏼🇺🇸🔥🔪🔥🇨🇦👍🏼
Thanks brother 🙏 and yes it is. I'm sure you will do great with yours.

Great looking Condor!! The tinder maker is ore trying cool as wek
Thank you brother 🙏 I love the knife. That tinder maker would be really handy to have if you were trying to beat the weather. It's fast and keeps tinder dry while your shaving it.
@@ChuckinSteel I just re read my comment. LOL. I’m not even sure what the second sentence says! LOL
Lol I got the meaning 🤣 that's what matters
Very nice Condor! Excellent! #22aday! ⚔⚔⚔🔥🔥🔥🔪🔪🔪🤘🤘🤘 A very capable blade at a great price!
You hit on the head. They have amazing prices. This is an excellent choice for any woodcraft or edc.
They make good knifes
Yes sir.. In my opinion for the money, they are hard to beat.
thank's to show it
Your welcome. It's a fantastic knife.
@@ChuckinSteel yes is it Thank's
Using the Smith tinder maker as a planer was a “stupidly brilliant” idea:
1) “Stupid”, because I should have thought of it
2) “Brilliant”, because it is a great idea
😆 I understand what you mean. Sometimes, things or ways just get overlooked, even when we know better.
Thank you for the great video. This knife is #1 on my list to acquire and your video played a large part in that decision. Hoping you will see this question? Will the Bisonte fit well in the Selknam Sheath? I really like that sheath and may buy both knives. Thank again
Thanks for watching and commenting 👊 hold on I'll go see if it will fit in the selknam sheath ok. I know it will but I don't know how much play it would have. I'll reply in a few and let you know. I have affiliate links to the knives in the description.
Yes it fits fine. Better than o expected too.
@@ChuckinSteel Thank you for checking the fit. I really appreciate it. Ordered the Bisonte tonight!
You will love it.
@@ChuckinSteel I did order through your affiliate link! Thank you for your help
Is that Smiths tool able to be sharpened once its sharp edges get dull? You can always create fine tinder with either a sharp spine on your knife or when you finish your featherstick, you can make some superfine feathers, that can catch fire easily. That's also the technique, you use in the end of the featherstick, to make it catch fire from the sparks of the ferro rod.
Neah it's a throw away item once dull. It's not very expensive at all. To me this wouldn't be for someone like us that have skill but a beginner or for someone that wants to keep a back up. You could have it already shredded and ready packed up incase something happened. I think it's a very neat tool especially for beginners.
@@ChuckinSteel Thanks for letting me know, I thought it would cost much more! That's why I said about how to finish the feathertick with finer feathers, for people who don't have that gadget, to get a better idea on how to get their fire going! Thats a good tool for begginers indeed!
@@greekveteran2715 you comments are always welcome brother
That knife looks the goods ! Yep I can say the tinder maker is pretty cool as I have one & used it quite a bit in the last week.
Mate I’ve been looking for a decent slingshot & in Australia it seems the closest thing to decent is the simple scout brand.
Can you give me a few leads on brands / models & where to & not to buy ! Totally new to the flat band types. Thanks mate
Thanks brother 🙏 yeah, I seen you using a lil yellow box and thought what is that... looked it up and boom. That thing is awesome. As for the slingshots, Simpleshot is my favorite production brand slingshot. I would get the simpleshot scout Lt. It's the best production slingshot out there and it's affordable. I have a some slingshots I don't use and even have one of the scout Lt's un opened. Let me know your prices there in Australia. If it's pricey I might can just send you cheaper.
@@ChuckinSteel $75 aud$ ruclips.net/video/RqEesjDPWo4/видео.html
@@ChuckinSteel shipping from the US can be a killer sometimes. But sometimes ya just gota pay to get what ya want. I spose $75 +10 ish bucks for shipping isn’t the end of the world.
@@ChuckinSteel there’s also a simple shot hammer bundle. Xt head & LT handle $90
@@concernedaussie1330 the hammer is the safest to learn on and you can get sling bow attachments for it, but your stuck to shooting hammer grip all the time. You can have a really nice custom made 100$ and they pay the shipping. I feel bad you have to pay so much for usa products. I pay like 30$ for a Scout Lt from Simpleshot. Try going to Simpleshot.com and see if they ship to Australia.
How much work did you end up doing on the scandi edge?
All I did was convexed it slightly. About 15 min or less of work on the stones. Mine came very sharp, I'm just not to keen on 0° scandi grinds bc they dull so fast.
Which do you like better, this or the wayfinder?
Is the hammered looking part smooth or textured?
Oh man that's a tuff one. They both are excellent. You can't go wrong with either. The Bisonte is a little bit smaller than the Wayfinder. The Bisonte wins in comfort but the Wayfinder is good too. The Bisonte has a rough hammered texture and Wayfinder has more of scale texture. The Finnishes are close but not the same. Oh man idk. I do like the looks of Bisonte better but the Wayfinder has the friction fire divit that is metal. I'd have to close my eyes and pick. If you have bigger hands, the Wayfinder might be a better pick tho. Idk
@@ChuckinSteel One of my problems with most knives is a thin and uncomfortable handle. The Tops Brakimo for example.... no... make that most Tops knives. lol. I don't have really large hands but when doing more than making feather sticks I find a large handle more comfortable. Hard to find a knife in that 5" size range too, which I feel is perfect. Most are huge or small... IMO.
I'm wondering if the textured finish on the Bisonte creates drag.
@@dme7689 I would go with the Wayfinder then. The handle is much thicker. No neither has any real drag when using them.
@@dme7689 I like thinner handles. Lol
My 1st comment got deleted somehow so I'll keep it short EXCELLENT MATE 🍺👍
I read 99% of it. Idk what happened. Another guys got done that way too. Thank you brother 🙏 🇺🇲🇬🇧💪 🍺
#22aday
Just take a bk-16 and grind a 17° crappy edge on it. Nothing new. Amazon 12$ sheath. But I like the tinder maker! Condor pins on their handles and with my experience they come lose and the handle scales are uneven. It's a crap shoot. The bk-16 has that thick black crappy coating but thicker more robust. Whatever floats your boat. I can do what u just did with a butter knife.
🤣🤣🤣 really??? I'm not forcing you to buy it. Hell, I can do what I did with rock. Take your bk-16 to the woods and practice some skills instead of being a RUclips warrior.
